Claims (3)
- 内燃機関の燃焼室内に発生するイオン電流を検出するものにおいて、
イオン電流が発生している間に検出したイオン電流の特性値とその発生している発生期間とを計測し、
点火からの経過時間に対する特性値と発生期間との関係から燃焼状態を判定するものであって、
点火からの経過時間が長くなるのに応じてイオン電流の特性値に対する第一の特性値判定基準を小さく設定し、
点火時期からの経過時間が短い場合は、イオン電流の特性値に対する第二の特性値判定基準を大きく設定し、
第一の特性判定基準をイオン電流の特性値が上回っている第一発生期間を計測し、
第二の特性判定基準をイオン電流の特性値が上回っている第二発生期間を計測し、
計測した特性値が第二の特性値判定基準を下回り、かつ計測した第一発生期間が第一の期間判定基準を下回ることを判定することと、測定した特性値が第二の特性値判定基準を上回り、かつ測定した第二発生期間が第二の期間判定基準を下回ることを判定することとのいずれかにより燃焼状態が正常であることを判定する内燃機関の燃焼状態判定方法。 - 内燃機関の燃焼室内に発生するイオン電流を検出するものにおいて、
大きさの異なる判定値を少なくとも二つ設定し、
検出したイオン電流の電流値がそれぞれの判定値を上回っている発生期間を個別に計測し、
検出したイオン電流が判定値の中で最も高い判定値よりも低い判定値のみを上回る場合に計測した発生期間が、最も高い判定値により計測される発生期間よりも長く、かつ発生期間の判定のための判定基準以下である場合に燃焼状態が正常であると判定する内燃機関の燃焼状態判定方法。 - 燃焼の前半に前記低い判定値のみによって発生期間を計測した後、燃焼の後期に最も高い判定値でも発生期間を計測した場合に、燃焼状態は不安定であると判定する請求項2記載の内燃機関の燃焼状態判定方法。
