Description
前記本発明の円筒型カバー付きエンコーダにおいて、磁性金属製の円筒状体は焼結金属製にすることができる。焼結金属製にするとサイジング加工が可能で内外周面の寸法精度を飛躍的に高めることができ、磁極精度は言うに及ばず、剛性が強いので、固定安定性も高めることができる。
以上により、本発明によれば、エンコーダがFF車などのドライブシャフトに取り付けられる等、より過酷な条件の下で使用される場合であっても、磁化面が確実に保護され、より過酷な条件の下での使用に耐え、長期にわたって正確な回転数検出を可能にするエンコーダを提供することができる。

Claims (3)
- 径方向に沿って延びている側面を備えていて、回転部材の外周に装着される磁性金属製の円筒状体と、
フェライト磁性粉末又は希土類磁性粉末を合成ゴム又は合成樹脂からなる弾性素材に混入して加硫成型することにより前記円筒状体の筒状部外周に接着されるエンコーダの筒状部と、当該エンコーダの筒状部の両端部から径方向内側に向ってそれぞれ延びて前記円筒状体の側面にそれぞれ接着される一対のエンコーダの環状部とを備えているものの前記エンコーダの筒状部に、周方向に交互にS極、N極となるように着磁することにより前記磁性金属製の円筒状体の筒状部外周に形成される磁性ゴムからなる円筒状のエンコーダと、
前記エンコーダの筒状部に対して前記エンコーダの筒状部の軸方向から装着することにより前記エンコーダの筒状部の外周を覆うように前記エンコーダに取り付けられる非磁性材製の円筒状のカバーであって、
カバーの筒状部と、
当該カバーの筒状部の一方の端部から径方向内側に向かって延び、当該カバーを前記エンコーダの筒状部に対して前記エンコーダの筒状部の軸方向から装着した際に前記エンコーダの一方の環状部に当接するカバーの環状部と、
前記カバーの筒状部の他方の端部に備えられていて、当該カバーを前記エンコーダの筒状部に対して前記エンコーダの筒状部の軸方向から装着した際に、前記エンコーダの筒状部の他方の端部よりも前記エンコーダの筒状部の軸方向に突出するカバーの突出端部と
を備えている非磁性材製の円筒状のカバーと
からなり、
前記カバーの筒状部の内周壁が前記エンコーダの筒状部の外周に当接するように前記カバーを前記エンコーダの筒状部に対して前記エンコーダの筒状部の軸方向から装着した後、前記カバーの突出端部を前記エンコーダの他方の環状部に向けてカシメることにより、前記エンコーダに前記カバーが取り付けられ、
前記カバーの環状部及び前記カシメられたカバーの突出端部が、前記エンコーダの一対の環状部及び前記円筒状体を挟んだ状態になっている
ことを特徴とする円筒型カバー付きエンコーダ。 - 磁性金属製の円筒状体は焼結金属製であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の円筒型カバー付きエンコーダ。
- 磁性金属製の円筒状体は鋼製であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の円筒型カバー付きエンコーダ。
