Description
本発明の光学フィルムの製造方法によれば、ウェブに筋や横段等の欠陥が発生しにくく、幅手方向のムラ(スジ状のムラ)や長手方向のムラ(横段)がほとんどない平面性の良好な光学フィルムを製造することができ、しかもいわゆる歩留まりが良いことから、フィルム製品の製造コストが非常に安くつくという効果を奏する。
V1=1000Q/W/D
上記において、支持体の移動速度V2と、流延ダイからのドープ吐出速度V1との差:V2−V1が30(m/min)未満であれば、ウェブに幅手方向のムラ(スジ状のムラ)が生じて、フィルムの品質が悪化するため、好ましくない。また、V2−V1が60(m/min)を超えると、ウェブに長手方向のムラ(横段)が生じて、フィルムの品質が悪化するため、好ましくない。
ここで、Mはウェブの任意時点での重量、Nは重量Mのものを110℃で3時間乾燥させたときの重量である。
(ドープの調製)
セルローストリアセテートのドープを、以下のように調製した。
(数平均分子量150,000)
チヌビン326(チバ・スペシャルティ・ケミカルズ社製) 0.5重量部
チヌビン171(チバ・スペシャルティ・ケミカルズ社製) 0.5重量部
アエロジル200V(日本アエロジル株式会社製) 0.1重量部
エチルフタリルエチルグリコレート 2重量部
トリメチルフォスフェイト 10重量部
メチレンクロライド 450重量部
エタノール 50重量部
これらを加圧密閉容器に投入し、60℃に加温して容器内圧力を2気圧とし、撹拌しながらセルロースエステルを完全に溶解させドープを得た。このドープを濾紙(商品名、安積濾紙No.244、安積濾紙株式会社製)を使用して濾過し、ついで、4種類の金属製フィルタ(商品名、ファインメットNM:絶対濾過精度100μm、および商品名、ファインポアNF:絶対濾過精度50μm、15μm、5μm、それぞれ日本精線株式会社製)を順次濾過精度を上げて使用して濾過し、製膜に供した。なお、上記濾過後に得られたドープの30℃におけるドープ粘度は、20Pa・secであった。
製膜した各セルローストリアセテートから長手方向から3m(全幅)の試料を取り出し、5種類の試料を準備した。一方、40Wの蛍光灯8本を10cm間隔に並べた照明板を準備した。各試料を、点灯した該照明板の下方1.5mのところに置き、フィルムの平面性を観察し、下記のようなランクで評価した。得られた結果を、下記の表1にまとめて示した。
Claims (1)
- 金属製回転エンドレスベルトまたは金属製回転ドラム(以下、支持体という)上に光学フィルムの原料溶液であるドープを流延ダイによって流延し、支持体上からウェブを剥離後、ウェブを乾燥して、溶液流延製膜法により、最終膜厚50μm以下の光学フィルムを製造する方法であって、上記流延ダイから光学フィルムのドープを吐出する速度をV1(m/min)、支持体の移動速度をV2(m/min)とするとき、下記条件を満たすことを特徴とする光学フィルムの製造方法。
