Description
Bi3+ ⇔ Bi0 → Pt/Bi
その結果、不都合にもBi3+⇔Bi0の平衡がBi0側にシフトすることが考えられる。
Li、Na、K、Rb、Cs、Mg、Ca、Sr、Ba、Zn、W、Ti、Zr、Cdおよび/またはInの酸化物からなる群から選択される元素の酸化物が存在してもよい。
Pt−Ir坩堝内で約1100℃で原料(純粋ではあるが、微量の不純物に関する最適化は行っていない)からガラスを溶融した。ビスマスの高酸化状態を安定化させるために、溶融物中に乾燥酸素ガスをバブリングした。約1.5時間(静置時間または気泡の質を最適化するための撹拌時間を含む)後、予熱した黒鉛鋳型に液状ガラスを流し、徐冷炉内でTgから室温まで徐冷速度を15K/時までとして徐冷した。
表2に示す組成を有するガラスを1000℃の温度で溶融させた。溶融させる前にこのバッチをP2O5上で乾燥させておき、溶融中はこの中に乾燥酸素をバブリングした。
− Bi3+ + 3/2 O2- → Bi0 + 3/4 O2
− Ce4+ + 1/2 O2- → Ce3+ + 1/4 O2
− Bi3+ + 3Ce3+ → Bi0 + 3Ce4+(溶融物の徐冷時)
− K[T,Bi]=[Bi0]×p(O2)3/4/[Bi3+]
− K[T,Ce]=[Ce3+]×p(O2)1/4/[Ce4+]
であり、
− ΔG°=−nF×E°(T) =ΔH°−TΔS°=−RT×ln(K[T,i])
である。
−E°(T)電気化学的方法(矩形波ボルタンメトリー)
−ΔH°およびΔS°はE°の温度依存性から決定した。
−平衡定数KはΔH°およびΔS°から決定した。
−Bi0の比率は、1バールの酸素分圧pO2(開放系に相当=溶融物)を用いて溶融物のKから算出した。
−Ce3+含有量は、溶融物中のBi0含有量と同様の方法により算出した。
Claims (11)
- 酸化ビスマスを含有するガラスを製造するための方法であって、溶融処理中に乾燥酸素を溶融物中に吹き込むことを特徴とする方法。
- 酸化ビスマスを含有するガラスを製造するための方法であって、溶融処理中にハロゲン化酸素を溶融物中に吹き込むことを特徴とする方法。
- 酸化ビスマスを含有するガラスを製造するための方法であって、溶融処理中に乾燥酸素及びハロゲン化酸素を溶融物中に吹き込むことを特徴とする方法。
- 少なくとも以下の組成:
Bi2O3 ≧10モル%
希土類酸化物以外の他の酸化物 0〜90モル%
希土類酸化物を含む希土類化合物 0〜8モル%(酸化物基準)
のガラス組成物が少なくとも溶融される、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 酸化ビスマスを含有するガラスを製造するための方法であって、溶融処理中に酸素を溶融物中に吹き込み、以下の組成(モル%):
Bi2O3 30−60
SiO2 0−60
GeO2 0−30
B2O3 0−60
Al2O3 0−50
Ga2O3 0−50
In2O3 0−30
WO3 0−30
MoO3 0−30
Nb2O5 0−30
Sb2O3 0−30
Ta2O5 0−15

ZrO2 0−30
SnO2 0−40

- 光学ガラスを製造するための、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法の使用。
- 光通信技術用ガラスを製造するための、請求項8に記載の使用。
- ファイバ型増幅器、平板型増幅器等の光増幅媒体用のガラスを製造するための、請求項8または9に記載の使用。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって製造可能なガラス。
