Description
(1)支持体表面の改質
厚さが1mmで、面積が5cm2である多孔性ステンレススチールディスク(Mott Metallurgical Co.)支持体の片面に80〜120nmシリカキセロゲルを敷いて、プレスを利用して200気圧で圧延加工し、600℃の電気炉で2時間焼成して、支持体表面を改質した。
前記改質された多孔性支持体の表面にチタニア表面層を形成した。
前記実施例1で製造されたチタニア複合膜の分離性能は、図2に示した蒸気透過装置を使用して、以下のような方法により測定した。

Claims (8)
- 多孔性支持体表面をシリカキセロゲルとγ−アルミナゾルとで順次処理し、支持体表面を改質する過程、
前記改質表面をチタニアゾルでコーティングし、ゾル−ゲル法によりチタニア表面層を形成する過程、及び
前記改質及びチタニア表面層が形成された膜を、温度範囲20〜30℃及び相対湿度50〜70%の条件で乾燥した後、250〜400℃で焼成する過程、
を含むことを特徴とする、水/アルコール分離用チタニア複合膜の製造方法。 - 前記多孔性支持体は、1〜5μmの細孔を有する多孔性金属支持体であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の水/アルコール分離用チタニア複合膜の製造方法。
- 前記支持体の表面改質過程は、シリカキセロゲル(xerogel)で支持体表面を圧延加工する1次表面改質の後、γ−アルミナを利用し、含浸−ローリング法により2次表面改質する過程から構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の水/アルコール分離用チタニア複合膜の製造方法。
- 前記チタニアゾルは、チタニウムテトラアルコキシドを水、アルコール及び塩酸の混合物内で還流反応して製造することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の水/アルコール分離用チタニア複合膜の製造方法。
- 前記チタニアゾルを含浸−ローリング法によりコーティングしてチタニアコーティング層を形成することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の水/アルコール分離用チタニア複合膜の製造方法。
- 多孔性支持体、前記多孔性支持体をシリカキセロゲルとγ―アルミナゾルとで順次的に表面改質することにより前記多孔性支持体上に形成された表面改質層、及び前記表面改質層上にコーティングされたチタニア表面層を含む水/アルコール分離用チタニア複合膜。
- 前記多孔性支持体は1〜5μmの細孔を有する多孔性金属支持体であることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の水/アルコール分離用チタニア複合膜。
- 前記多孔性金属支持体は多孔性ステンレススチール支持体であることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の水/アルコール分離用チタニア複合膜。
