Description
マイクロウェーブエネルギーが組織周囲にどの程度照射されるかを評価することは困難である。即ち、切除される組織周囲の面積あるいは体積を決定することは困難である。さらに、従来のマイクロウェーブアンテナを組織例えば癌組織に直接的に挿入する場合、アンテナプローブの挿入、位置決め又は取り出し中に、癌細胞をアンテナ本体に沿って身体の他の部分へ引きずり込み引き出す危険がある。
図2は、遠位先端部34がループを描いてアンテナ32の近位部分と接触している完全にループに形成されたアンテナ32を図示していて、そのアンテナ32は切除部位35を規定している。金属−金属の直接接触が生じないように、二つの間の接触点は、好ましくは絶縁されている。
Claims (30)
- マイクロウェーブエネルギー治療に使用するためのマイクロウェーブアンテナであって、
近位部分と湾曲した遠位部分とが全長となっている内部導体と;
少なくとも該全長の一部分に沿って該内部導体を囲んでいる外部導体と;
該内部導体と該外部導体とを隔てている誘電材料と;
該湾曲した遠位部分の大部分をおおっている絶縁カバーであって、該湾曲した遠位部分の遠位先端部は該絶縁カバーによりおおわれていない絶縁カバーと;を具備するマイクロウェーブアンテナにおいて;
該内部導体の該湾曲した遠位部分は、該外部導体と該誘電材料との最遠位端部を越えてさらに遠位に配置されており、該内部導体の該湾曲した遠位部分は該外部導体の長手軸から横方向に延伸して切除部位を形成していて、該切除部位の一部分が処置すべき組織を囲んでおり、該処置すべき組織の一部分は該切除部位の中に配置されるようになっている、
マイクロウェーブアンテナ。 - 該湾曲した遠位部分が、閉じた曲線及び開いた曲線とにより構成される一群から選択された形状を形成している、請求項1に記載のマイクロウェーブアンテナ。
- 該湾曲した遠位部分が、円形、楕円形、螺旋形、渦巻形、正方形、長方形、三角形及び多角形とにより構成される一群から選択された形状である、請求項1に記載のマイクロウェーブアンテナ。
- 該湾曲した遠位部分が、開いた曲線により規定される中心点に対して180°より大きい角度の該開いた曲線を形成している、請求項1に記載のマイクロウェーブアンテナ。
- 該湾曲した遠位部分の遠位先端部が、該マイクロウェーブアンテナの一部分と重なっている、請求項1に記載のマイクロウェーブアンテナ。
- 該遠位先端部が、該外部導体の一部分と重なっている、請求項5に記載のマイクロウェーブアンテナ。
- 該遠位先端部が、該外部導体から延伸している該内部導体の一部分と重なっている、請求項5に記載のマイクロウェーブアンテナ。
- 該遠位先端部が、該マイクロウェーブアンテナの1〜3cmの部分と重なっている、請求項5に記載のアンテナ。
- 該絶縁体が潤滑面を有している、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 該内部導体がテーパ付き遠位先端部で終点となっている、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- マイクロウェーブアンテナの近位端部と接続されているマイクロウェーブエネルギー発振器をさらに具備する、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 該マイクロウェーブエネルギー発振器と電気的に接続しているチャンネルスプリッタであって、該チャンネルスプリッタは、該マイクロウェーブエネルギー発振器から受け取った単一チャンネルから多重チャンネルを発生するようになっている、チャンネルスプリッタをさらに具備する、請求項11に記載のアンテナ。
- 該チャンネルスプリッタのサイクリング速度を制御するための該チャンネルスプリッタと電気的に接続しているコントローラをさらに具備する、請求項12に記載のアンテナ。
- 該コントローラは、該マイクロウェーブアンテナへの電気的接続の有無を検出するようになっている、請求項13に記載のアンテナ。
- 該マイクロウェーブアンテナが、処置する該組織部位を囲むための複数の追加の湾曲した遠位部分をさらに含んでいる、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 該内部導体が、該外部導体から延伸して該湾曲した遠位部分を形成している、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 該内部導体の該湾曲した遠位部分が、該外部導体により囲まれている、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 近位端部と遠位端部とを有している細長い誘導針であって、ルーメンが両端部間に形成されていて、該湾曲した遠位部分が少なくとも該誘導針の該遠位端部を部分的に越えて延伸するように、該マイクロウェーブアンテナは該ルーメンの中を通って前進する、該誘導針をさらに具備する、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 該誘導針が、該外部導体と電気的に接続している、請求項18に記載のアンテナ。
- 該湾曲した遠位部分が、該内部導体と接続している独立した細長い導体を備えている、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 該独立した細長い導体が、機械式留め具を用いて該内部導体に取り付けられている、請求項20に記載のアンテナ。
- 該独立した細長い導体が、該内部導体へのアタッチメント用の受容端部を有する管状部材を備えている、請求項20に記載のアンテナ。
- 該マイクロウェーブアンテナの近位端部と接続しているRFエネルギー発信器をさらに具備する、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 該湾曲した遠位部分を囲む膨脹式風船をさらに具備する、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 該内部導体が、少なくとも該内部導体の全長の一部分をおおっている電気的に導電性のコーティングを備えている、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 該外部導体が、少なくとも該外部導体の内表面の一部分をおおっている電気的に導電性のコーティングを備えている、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 該マイクロウェーブアンテナを取り外し可能に位置決めしているアライメント用ガイドであって、該アライメント用ガイドが、近位端部及び遠位端部を有しておりかつ両端部間に少なくとも一つの通路を形成しているボデー部材と、該ボデー部材に沿って形成され、かつ該通路と連通しているアライメント用チャンネルの少なくとも一つと、該ボデー部材に沿って位置決めされ、かつ該マイクロウェーブアンテナの位置を取り外し可能に維持するべく形成されたロッキング機構の少なくとも一つとを備えている、アライメント用ガイドをさらに具備する、請求項1に記載のアンテナ。
- 該アライメント用ガイドが、該アライメント用ガイドを通過する複数の通路を形成していて、該通路各々が、該ボデー部材に沿って形成されかつ該通路と連通している対応するアライメント用チャンネルを備えている、請求項27に記載のアンテナ。
- 該アライメント用チャンネル各々が、お互いに平行である、請求項28に記載のアンテナ。
- 該アライメント用チャンネル各々が、お互いに対して角度がついている、請求項28に記載のアンテナ。
