Description
まず、養生施設における方法では、周囲の気象変動に対応して人為的な調整をきめ細かく行う必要があり、管理労力が増大する。また、弱光下での養生によって軟弱な接ぎ木苗となりやすく、苗そのものも光合成が促進されずに弱い樹勢となりがちで、病気にもかかりやすいので、苗の定植後の生長があまり期待できない。さらに、一般に養生後は、光強度を徐々に強める順化を行う必要があり、この順化に1週間以上かかるため、その分だけ苗生産工程が長引いてしまう。
図2は、図1に示す苗生産装置の要部を示す拡大縦断面図である。
図3は、本発明で使用する通気孔を備えた透光性遮蔽物の実施例を示す斜視図である。
図4は、透光性遮蔽物の通気孔の開孔率を変化させる開孔率調整板の実施例を示す斜視図である。

この苗生産装置1は、図1に示すように、遮光性断熱壁で包囲された閉鎖型構造物2を有しており、閉鎖型構造物2内には多段式の育苗棚3が2つ設置されている。各育苗棚3はそれぞれ複数枚(図1では4枚)の棚板3aを備えており、各棚板3aにはそれぞれ複数個の接ぎ木苗8をアンダートレイ11上のセルトレイ10の各セルに植えた形で搭載することができる。また、各棚板3aの上方にはそれぞれ、図1に示すように、人工照明装置として蛍光灯5が取り付けられており、棚板3aに搭載された接ぎ木苗8に蛍光灯5から投光することができる。さらに、各棚板3aにはそれぞれ、図2に示すように、アクリルプラスチックその他の合成樹脂からなる箱状の透光性遮蔽物9が着脱自在に設けられており、棚板3aに搭載された接ぎ木苗8を透光性遮蔽物9で被覆することができる。
まず、育苗棚3で台木および穂木を別個に育苗する。すると、この育苗は、閉鎖型構造物2内の調温調湿された雰囲気で適切な人工照明の下に行われるため、自然光育成に比べて、子葉下の胚軸(下胚軸)内に見られる空洞部分が少なく、下胚軸が太く固くなる傾向にあり、葉が肉厚で、葉色が濃いなど樹勢の強い元苗(台木、穂木)が得られる。
<実施例1>
本発明に係る苗生産方法により、トマト台木(品種名:アンカーT)にトマト穂木(品種名:ハウス桃太郎)を接合してトマトの接ぎ木苗を生産した。ここで、元苗の育苗時の条件は、トマト台木もトマト穂木も、明期時間が16時間/日、明期温度が25℃、暗期温度が25℃、光強度が光含成有効光量子束密度で270μmol/m2/s、炭酸ガス濃度が1000ppmであった。
本発明に係る苗生産方法により、キュウリ台木(品種名:ひかりパワーゴールド)にキュウリ穂木(品種名:アンコール10)を接合してキュウリの接ぎ木苗を生産した。ここで、元苗の育苗時の条件は、キュウリ台木もキュウリ穂木も、明期時間が16時間/日、明期温度が25℃、暗期温度が25℃、光強度が光含成有効光量子束密度で270μmol/m2/s、炭酸ガス濃度が1000ppmであった。
また、接ぎ木苗の養生に際しては、複数の通気孔を備えた透光性遮蔽物で接ぎ木苗を被覆することで、接ぎ木直後には台木や穂木から蒸発する水分により透光性遮蔽物内の相対湿度が高まり台木と穂木の活着が促進される。活着が促進されて光合成が活発になり、透光性遮蔽物内の炭酸ガスが不足してくる場合には、ファンによる育苗棚各段に生ずる気流により、透光性遮蔽物の通気孔を通じてガス交換がなされ、閉鎖型構造物内の炭酸ガスを透光性遮蔽物内へ取り込むことにより透光性遮蔽物内への炭酸ガスの補充ができる。
Claims (2)
- 遮光性断熱壁で包囲された閉鎖型構造物(2)を有し、
接ぎ木苗(8)を搭載しうる複数枚の棚板(3a)を備えた多段式の育苗棚(3)を前記閉鎖型構造物内に設置し、
前記育苗棚の各段には、搭載された接ぎ木苗に投光しうる人工照明装置(5)および各段に気流を生じさせるファン(4)を設け、
前記閉鎖型構造物内を調温調湿しうる空調装置(6)および前記閉鎖型構造物内に炭酸ガスを供給しうる炭酸ガス施用装置(7)を設け、
前記育苗棚の各棚板に搭載された接ぎ木苗を被覆する複数の通気孔(15)を備えた透光性遮蔽物(9)を着脱自在に設け、
前記透光性遮蔽物(9)の複数の通気孔(15)に開孔率を変化させる手段を設けたことを特徴とする苗生産装置。 - 請求項1に記載の苗生産装置(1)を用いて接ぎ木苗(8)を生産する際に、
前記苗生産装置の育苗棚(3)で台木および穂木を育苗し、
次に、これらの台木および穂木を互いに接合して接ぎ木苗を作り、
その後、この接ぎ木苗を前記育苗棚の棚板(3a)に置いて複数の通気孔(15)を備えた透光性遮蔽物(9)で被覆し、次いで、前記苗生産装置の人工照明装置(5)から前記透光性遮蔽物を通してこの接ぎ木苗に所定の光強度で投光するとともに、ファン(4)により棚板各段に気流を生じさせながら、前記苗生産装置の空調装置(6)で当該苗生産装置の閉鎖型構造物(2)内を調温調湿し、さらに炭酸ガス施用装置(7)で当該閉鎖型構造物内に炭酸ガスを供給して、前記閉鎖型構造物内と前記透光性遮蔽物内とのガス交換を前記透光性遮蔽物の通気孔を通じて行えるようにするとともに、前記透光性遮蔽物(9)の複数の通気孔(15)の開孔率を調節可能とすることよって、これらの通気孔を通じての前記閉鎖型構造物(2)内と前記透光性遮蔽物(9)内とのガス交換量を調節できるようにし、
この状態で、この接ぎ木苗を養生するようにしたことを特徴とする苗生産方法。
