Description
i)本発明に開示された硫黄含有界面活性剤は、金属基板の表面に化学吸着して、前記金属基板と有機樹脂の間の接着力を改善する。
ii)金属基板表面の自由エネルギーが減少するので、前記金属基板が激しく腐食されないように予防対策をする。
iii)小さい有機硫黄化合物は樹脂分子に比して寸法が小さいので、容易に高分子層の空孔を満たすことができ、前記高分子層の下にある金属の腐蝕を防止する障壁効果を改善できる。
iv)本発明の有機硫黄化合物は、基板よりも容易に酸化されるので、酸化性物質を消耗し、酸化防止剤として作用する。

本発明によると、金属基板を改質樹脂で被覆するため、4段階が必要である。第1段階では、有機硫黄化合物溶液を適切な溶媒を用いて調製する。特定樹脂の製造工程に従って、別途に、高分子樹脂の溶液を調製する。 第2段階では、有機硫黄化合物溶液を最適比率で高分子樹脂溶液と混合する。
また、最適とか適切とは、従来の技術知識や最新の実験データなどから推測できるレベルを意味する。
本発明のもう一つの特徴は、改質剤をペイントに添加して、顔料及び充填剤(filler)など、一つ以上の添加剤を追加してブレンドされた樹脂混合物である。
本発明による樹脂及び有機硫黄化合物のブレンド混合物は、次の実験例から容易に理解できるであろう。
ii)樹脂と、0.1M ODTエタノール溶液の混合液(70:30)
iii)樹脂と、0.1M ODT1-ブタノール溶液の混合液(70:30)
iv)樹脂と、0.1M ODTエタノール溶液及び0.1M ODT1-ブタノール溶液を1:1に混合した液の混合液
Claims (12)
- 腐蝕防止のため、主成分が高分子樹脂である有機被覆の性能を向上させる方法であって、
a.R(CH 2 ) n SHの化学式を有するアルカンチオールであり、前記Rは末端基としてH-、NH 2 -、HOOC-、及びHO-からなる群より選択されて、nは10乃至21の整数である有機硫黄化合物を溶媒に溶解する段階、
b.前記有機硫黄化合物が溶解された溶液と前記高分子樹脂が溶解された溶液を混合する段階、
c.前記有機硫黄化合物と前記高分子樹脂を含有した溶液の混合物で金属基板を被覆する段階、及び
d.前記溶液混合物で被覆された前記金属基板を硬化させる段階
を含み、
クロムを使用しないで、前記金属基板の耐食性を向上させることを特徴とする有機被覆の性能向上方法。 - 前記有機硫黄化合物は、1-オクタデカンチオールであることを特徴とする請求項1に
記載の有機被覆の性能向上方法。 - 前記高分子樹脂は、アクリル、アクリル-ウレタン、エポキシ、ポリエステル、エポキ
シ-ポリエステルまたはフッ化ビニル高分子及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択
されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機被覆の性能向上方法。 - 前記金属基板は、熱延酸洗鋼板、冷延鋼板、ステンレス鋼板、溶融金属被覆鋼板(hot-dipped metallic coated steel sheets)、及
び電気メッキ金属被覆鋼板、アルミニウム板及びアルミニウム合金板、亜鉛板、亜鉛合金板、銅板、銅合金板、金及び銀からなる群より選択される基板を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機被覆の性能向上方法。 - 前記金属基板は、鉛、鉛合金、ニッケル、ニッケル合金、亜鉛、亜鉛合金、錫及び錫合金からなる群より選択された一つ以上の層からなる被覆を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機被覆の性能向上方法。
- 前記有機硫黄化合物用溶媒は、アルコール、アセトン、テレピン油(turpentine)、ベンゼン、エチルアセテート、ブチルアセテート、トルエン、石油エステル(petroleumester)、キシレン、アルカン、ミネラルスピリット(mineral spirit)、及び水からなる群より選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機被覆の性能向上方法。
- 前記溶媒は、エタノール、1-プロパノール、1-ブタノール及びこれらの混合物からなる群より選択されることが好ましいことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機被覆の性能向上方法。
- 前記高分子樹脂内の前記有機硫黄化合物の濃度は0.001乃至0.5モル/リットルであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機被覆の性能向上方法。
- 前記金属基板は、ロールまたはバー被覆機によって、前記有機硫黄化合物及び前記高分子樹脂を含有した溶液の混合物で被覆されて、100〜350℃の温度範囲で硬化されて所望の被覆厚さを得ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機被覆の性能向上方法。
- 主成分が高分子樹脂である有機化成(conversion)被覆の性能を向上させる方法であって、
a.R(CH 2 ) n SHの化学式を有するアルカンチオールであり、前記Rは末端基としてH-、NH 2 -、HOOC-、及びHO-からなる群より選択されて、nは10乃至21の整数である有機硫黄化合物を高分子樹脂と混合する段階、
b.前記有機硫黄化合物を含有した高分子樹脂で金属基板を被覆する段階、及び
c.前記混合溶液で被覆された金属基板を硬化させる段階
を含み、
クロムを使用しないで、前記金属基板の耐食性を向上させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機被覆の性能向上方法。 - 前記金属基板は、電気亜鉛鍍金鋼板であることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の有機被覆の性能向上方法。
- 前記高分子樹脂は、アクリル、アクリル-ウレタン、エポキシ、ポリエステル、エポキ
シ-ポリエステルまたはフッ化ビニル高分子及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択
されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の有機被覆の性能向上方法。
