Claims (8)
- データラインとスキャンラインの交差部毎に形成されて電流により駆動される発光セルを含む画素と、
前記発光セルに印可される電流を一時的に大きく高めるための電流制御部と、
前記電流制御部にデータ信号を供給するデータドライバと、
前記発光セルに供給される電流を制御する発光セルの制御部と、
前記データドライバに前記データ信号を供給して、第1乃至第6選択信号とプリチャージング選択信号とプリチャージングエネーブル信号とを発生するタイミング制御部とを具備し、
前記電流制御部は、前記データドライバと前記データラインに接続された複数の電流サンプルホルダ部と、前記データラインにプリチャージング電流を供給する、電圧供給ラインとデータラインのそれぞれの間に接続されたプリチャージング電流供給部とを具備し、
前記複数の電流サンプルホルダ部のそれぞれは、
スキャンパルスがN番目(Nは自然数)のスキャンラインに供給される毎に前記データラインに供給されるデータ信号をサンプリングして貯蔵する、前記データドライバの出力ラインに共通に接続された第1乃至第3サンプルホルダを有する第1サンプルホルダ部と、
スキャンパルスがN+1番目のスキャンラインに供給される毎に前記データラインに供給されるデータ信号をサンプリングして貯蔵する、前記データドライバの出力ラインに共通に接続された第4乃至第6サンプルホルダを有する第2サンプルホルダ部と、
前記プリチャージング選択信号に応動して前記第1又は第2サンプルホルダ部の出力ラインのそれぞれを選択的に前記データラインに接続する、前記第1及び第2サンプルホルダ部と前記データラインとに接続されたMUXアレイとを具備し、
前記第1乃至第3サンプルホルダが前記第1乃至第3選択信号に応動して順次駆動され、そして前記第4乃至第6サンプルホルダが前記第4乃至第6選択信号に応動して順次駆動され、
前記第1サンプルホルダ部は、前記スキャンパルスが前記N番目のスキャンラインに供給される毎にサンプリングされて貯蔵された前記データ信号を利用して前記プリチャージングエネーブル信号を供給する間に、前記プリチャージング電流の供給部からの電流を基底電圧源にシンクさせ、前記発光セルに供給される電流を一時的に大きく増加させるものであり、そして、
前記第2サンプルホルダ部は、前記スキャンパルスが前記N+1番目のスキャンラインに供給される毎にサンプリングされて貯蔵された前記データ信号を利用して前記プリチャージングエネーブル信号を供給する間に、前記プリチャージング電流の供給部からの電流を前記基底電圧源にシンクさせ、前記発光セルに供給される電流を一時的に大きく増加させることを特徴とするエレクトロルミネセンスの表示装置。 - 前記第1及び第6サンプルホルダのそれぞれは、
前記データドライバの出力ラインと基底電圧源及び前記MUXアレイに接続されて前記データ信号をサンプリングして貯蔵されるサンプリング部と、
前記データドライバの出力ラインと前記サンプリング部の間に接続されて前記第1乃至第6選択信号の中のいずれか一つにより、スイッチングされる第1選択スイッチと、
前記第1選択スイッチと前記サンプリング部の間のノードと前記サンプリング部の間に接続されて前記第1選択スイッチに供給される前記選択信号により、スイッチングされる第2選択スイッチと、
前記サンプリング部と前記MUXアレイに接続された出力ラインに接続されて前記プリチャージングエネーブル信号により、スイッチングされる第3選択スイッチとを具備することを特徴とする請求項1記載のエレクトロルミネセンスの表示装置。 - 前記サンプリング部は、
前記第1選択スイッチと前記基底電圧源との間に接続された第1サンプリングトランジスタスイッチと、
前記第1サンプリングトランジスタスイッチのゲート端子と前記基底電圧源と前記第3選択スイッチとに接続された第2サンプリングトランジスタスイッチと、
前記第1及び第2サンプリングトランジスタスイッチのそれぞれのゲート端子と基底電圧源との間に接続された、前記データ信号を貯蔵するサンプリングキャパシターと、
前記第1及び第2サンプリングトランジスタスイッチのそれぞれと前記基底電圧源と前記MUXアレイに接続された出力ラインとに接続された第3サンプリングトランジスタスイッチとを具備することを特徴とする請求項2記載のエレクトロルミネセンスの表示装置。 - 前記第2サンプリングトランジスタスイッチの大きさは前記第1及び第3サンプリングトランジスタスイッチより相対的に大きいことを特徴とする請求項3記載のエレクトロルミネセンスの表示装置。
- 前記プリチャージング電流供給部のそれぞれは、
前記電圧供給源と前記データラインの間に接続されて前記プリチャージングエネーブル信号により、スイッチングされる電流切換スイッチと、
前記電流切換スイッチと前記電圧供給ラインの間に接続されるダイオード型電流供給スイッチとを具備することを特徴とする請求項1記載のエレクトロルミネセンスの表示装置。 - 前記画素のそれぞれは、
電圧供給源と前記発光セルの間に接続される駆動薄膜トランジスタと、
前記スキャンラインと前記データラインに接続される第1スイッチング薄膜トランジスタと、
前記電圧供給源と駆動薄膜トランジスタと前記第1スイッチング薄膜トランジスタに接続されて前記駆動薄膜トランジスタと電流ミラーを形成する変換薄膜トランジスタと、
前記変換及び駆動薄膜トランジスタのゲート端子前記電圧供給源の間に接続されるストレージキャパシターと、
前記変換及び駆動薄膜トランジスタのゲート端子と前記スキャンライン及び前記第1スイッチング薄膜トランジスタに接続される第2スイッチング薄膜トランジスタとを具備することを特徴とする請求項5記載のエレクトロルミネセンスの表示装置。 - 前記ダイオード型電流供給スイッチの大きさは前記変換薄膜トランジスタより相対的に大きいことを特徴とする請求項6記載のエレクトロルミネセンスの表示装置。
- 前記MUXアレイは前記プリチャージング選択信号につれてN番目のスキャンラインにスキャンパルスが印加される期間に前記第2サンプルホルダ部を前記データラインに接続させて、N+1番目のスキャンラインにスキャンパルスが印加される期間に前記第1サンプルホルダ部を前記データラインに接続させることを特徴とする請求項1記載のエレクトロルミネセンスの表示装置。
