Claims (2)
- 周壁から径方向内側に突出する仕切壁を有し、クランクシャフトから動力を伝達されて回転するハウジングと、
このハウジングの内側で前記仕切壁の先端部が摺接する略円柱状のロータ本体部と、このロータ本体部から径方向外側に突出する羽根部とを有し、カムシャフトに一体回転可能に結合されると共に、前記ハウジングに必要に応じて相対回動できるように組み付けられたベーンロータと、
前記ハウジングの仕切壁とベーンロータの羽根部の間に形成された進角室及び遅角室と、
この進角室と遅角室に作動液を選択的に給排して前記ハウジングとベーンロータを相対回動させる液圧吸排手段と、を備え、
前記ハウジングは、周壁を有するハウジング本体に、そのハウジング本体のカムシャフト側の側部を閉塞する側壁部材が取り付けられて成り、前記側壁部材には、ロータ本体部よりも小径であってベーンロータまたはカムシャフトに設けられた軸部を支持する軸受孔が形成され、前記液圧給排手段の一方の給排通路が前記軸部と軸受孔を経由して側壁部材から進角室または遅角室に連通するように構成された内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御装置において、
前記側壁部材の軸受孔のうちの、ロータ本体部の側面に臨む端縁に、ロータ本体部の外径よりも小径の環状凹部を形成し、該環状凹部の内周面と前記軸部の外周面との間に、環状の通路を形成すると共に、前記側壁部材のハウジング本体側の側面に、前記環状の通路と進角室または遅角室を導通させる径方向溝を形成したことを特徴とする内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御装置。 - 前記環状凹部の軸方向の底面に、軸受孔の一般面に向かって先窄まり状に傾斜するテーパ部を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御装置。
