Claims (7)
- 吸気弁又は排気弁のリフト特性を連続的に変化させる可変動弁機構において、上記リフト特性又はその相当値を検出する検出手段を有し、
診断用の外部装置からの学習指令信号を受けて、内燃機関を所定の学習運転モードで運転し、この学習運転モード中に、上記リフト特性が通常の機関運転中には用いられることのない特性であって、かつ、少なくともそのバルブリフト量が最小となるように上記可変動弁機構を操作し、このときの上記検出手段の出力に基づいて、この検出手段の出力基準位置を補正又は学習する可変動弁機構の基準位置学習装置。 - 制御軸の回転位置に応じて吸気弁又は排気弁のリフト特性を連続的に変化させる可変動弁機構において、上記制御軸の回転位置を検出する制御軸センサを有し、
診断用の外部装置からの学習指令信号を受けて、内燃機関を所定の学習運転モードで運転し、この学習運転モード中に、上記リフト特性が通常の機関運転中には用いられることのない特性であって、かつ、少なくともそのバルブリフト量が最小となるように上記制御軸を回動操作し、このときの上記制御軸センサの出力に基づいて、この制御軸センサの出力基準位置を補正又は学習する可変動弁機構の基準位置学習装置。 - 上記可変動弁機構が、上記制御軸に偏心して設けられた制御偏心軸部と、この制御偏心軸部に揺動可能に嵌合するロッカアームと、クランクシャフトに連動して回転する駆動軸と、この駆動軸に揺動可能に嵌合し、吸気弁又は排気弁を開閉する揺動カムと、上記駆動軸に偏心して設けられた駆動偏心軸部と、この駆動偏心軸部とロッカアームの一端とを連係する第1リンクと、上記ロッカアームの他端と揺動カムの先端とを連係する第2リンクと、を有する請求項2に記載の可変動弁機構の基準位置学習装置。
- 上記学習運転モードでのリフト特性の最小値は、通常の機関運転中におけるリフト特性の最小目標値よりも更に小さい請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の可変動弁機構の基準位置学習装置。
- 上記学習運転モードでは、アイドル運転時に比してスロットル開度を増加する請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の可変動弁機構の基準位置学習装置。
- 上記学習運転モードでは、アイドル運転時に比して燃料噴射量を増量する請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の可変動弁機構の基準位置学習装置。
- 上記学習運転モードでは、アイドル運転時に比して点火時期を進角する請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の可変動弁機構の基準位置学習装置。
