Claims (4)
- 吸気弁の作動中心角の位相を可変とする吸気バルブタイミング可変機構と、
吸気弁の作動角を可変とする吸気作動角可変機構と、
上記吸気バルブタイミング可変機構の作動不良を検出する作動不良検出手段と、
上記吸気バルブタイミング可変機構の作動不良が検出された作動不良時に、吸気弁の作動中心角の位相を算出し、この作動中心角の位相に基づいて、吸気弁の開時期が上死点よりも進角しつつ、上死点に対する吸気弁開時期の進角量を所定値以下に制限するように、上記吸気作動角可変機構を駆動制御するフェールセーフ手段と、
を有する内燃機関の可変動弁装置。 - 上記フェールセーフ手段は、上記作動不良時に、上記吸気弁開時期の進角量が所定値以下となる範囲で、吸気弁閉時期を下死点に近づける請求項1に記載の内燃機関の可変動弁装置。
- 上記フェールセーフ手段は、上記作動不良時に、高負荷域のときには吸気弁の開時期が上死点よりも進角し、低・中負荷域のときには吸気弁の開時期が上死点よりも遅角するように、上記吸気作動角可変機構を駆動制御する請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の可変動弁装置。
- 上記吸気作動角可変機構が、クランクシャフトにより回転駆動される吸気カムシャフトと、この吸気カムシャフトに揺動可能に嵌合し、吸気弁を開閉作動させる揺動カムと、上記吸気カムシャフトに偏心して設けられた偏心カムと、制御軸と、この制御軸に偏心して設けられた制御カムと、この制御カムに揺動可能に嵌合するロッカーアームと、偏心カムとロッカーアームの一端とを連係する第1リンクと、揺動カムとロッカーアームの他端とを連係する第2リンクと、上記制御軸の回転位置を変更・保持する制御軸アクチュエータと、を有する請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の可変動弁装置。
