Claims (16)
- 携帯式診断・通信装置であって、
第1組の端子に接続されており、第1の物理層仕様に従って処理制御ループにて通信を行えるよう設定された第1の媒体アクセスユニットと、
第2組の端子に接続されており、第2の物理層仕様に従って前記処理制御ループにて通信を行えるよう設定された第2の媒体アクセスユニットと、
前記第1と第2の媒体アクセスユニットに接続された測定回路と、
前記第1組と第2組の端子の一方との接続を自動的に検知するため、前記測定回路に接続されており、前記測定回路と相互動作できるよう設定されているプロセッサとからなる携帯式診断・通信装置。 - 前記プロセッサが、一旦前記装置が処理制御ループに接続されると、自動的にループタイプを検出するために、前記測定回路と相互動作するように構成された請求項1の装置。
- 前記各媒体アクセスユニットが処理ループ通信を妨げることなく前記ループ上に短期間のパルスを生成するように構成され、前記測定回路が前記パルスに対するループ応答に基づいてループインピーダンスを算出するように構成された請求項2の装置。
- 前記プロセッサが、前記測定回路による前記インピーダンス測定に基づいてループタイプを選択する請求項3の装置。
- 前記プロセッサが、前記ループタイプに基づいて診断機能を提供する請求項4の装置。
- 前記プロセッサが、前記ループタイプに基づいて通信機能を提供する請求項4の装置。
- 前記プロセッサが、極性を測定するために前記測定回路と相互動作し、不適当な接続を検知するように構成された請求項1の装置。
- 前記装置が固有安全性に対処するように設計された請求項1の装置。
- 前記第1の物理層仕様がハイウェイアドレス可能遠隔変換器(HART)プロトコルに従う請求項1の装置。
- 前記第2の物理層仕様がFOUNDATIONフィールドバスプロトコルに従う請求項1の装置。
- 携帯式診断・通信装置であって、
第1組の端子に接続されており、第1の物理層仕様に従って処理制御ループにて通信を行えるよう設定された第1の媒体アクセスユニットと、
第2組の端子に接続されており、第2の物理層仕様に従って前記処理制御ループにて通信を行えるよう設定された第2の媒体アクセスユニットと、
前記第1と第2の媒体アクセスユニットに接続された測定回路と、
前記測定回路に接続され、前記測定回路と相互動作できるよう設定されており、一旦前記装置が処理制御ループに接続されると、自動的にループタイプを検出するプロセッサとからなる携帯式診断・通信装置。 - 前記第1および第2組の端子が共通の端子を共有する請求項11の装置。
- 処理制御ループ上の処理制御装置と通信する方法であって、
1つの携帯式通信器を前記処理制御ループに接続する工程と、
ループ通信を基本的に妨害することなくループのタイプを特定する工程と、
前記のループタイプの特定結果に基づいて、ループ通信を設定する工程とからなる処理制御装置と通信する方法。 - 前記ループタイプを特定する工程が、前記ループ上の短期間のパルスを吸い込み、前記パルスに対応するループ電圧を測定して、ループインピーダンスを算出することを含む請求項13の方法。
- さらに、前記携帯式通信機が前記処理制御ループに正しく接続されているかどうかを判断することからなる請求項13の方法。
- 前記通信機が前記処理制御ループに不適当に接続されている場合に警告を与える請求項15の方法。
