Description
本発明は、車両乗員保護装備に関する。より詳細には、本発明は、エアバッグモジュールに関するものであり、該エアバッグモジュールは排気孔を有しており、該排気孔は、エアバッグのつなぎ紐によって、開放状態と閉鎖状態との間で動かされる。
このとき、つなぎ紐130には、相当量の緩みがある。そして、排気孔部材136の排気孔開口部140は、リアクションプレート20bの排気孔開口部44bと整合している。その結果、膨張流体は、排気孔開口部44bを通ってエアバッグ12bから流れ出ることができるようになっている。

Claims (11)
- 車両乗員保護装備であって、
収縮状態と、膨張流体によって展開した膨張状態とを有する膨張可能な車両乗員保護装置と、
前記保護装置から膨張流体が流出できるようにするための第1排気孔開口部を有する支持部材と、
第1状態と第2状態との間で、前記第1排気孔開口部に対して動くことのできる排気孔部材とを備え、前記第1状態において、排気孔部材は、前記第1排気孔開口部を閉じておらず、前記保護装置から膨張流体が流出することができ、前記第2状態において、前記排気孔部材が、前記保護装置から前記第1排気孔開口部を通って流出する膨張流体の流れを少なくとも部分的には遮断し、
前記車両乗員保護装備は、さらに、
前記保護装置が展開される際に、前記保護装置と共に動くようこれと接続された第1部分を有する係留部材を備えており、
前記係留部材は、前記排気孔部材と協働しており、前記保護装置が展開される際に、前記排気孔部材を、前記第1排気孔開口部に対して、前記第1状態から前記第2状態へと動かすようになっており、
前記保護装置が収縮状況にあるときには、前記係留部材の長さは、前記係留部材の両端部との間の距離を上回っているので、前記保護装置が収縮状況にあるときは、前記係留部材は緩みを有しており、
前記係留部材は、前記保護装置が収縮状態から膨張を開始したとき、前記排気孔部材を、前記第1排気孔開口部に対して、前記第1状態に留め、
前記保護装置が所定量を超えるて膨張すると、前記係留部材は、引っ張られて緩みが取り除かれ、前記排気孔部材を、前記第1排気孔開口部に対して、前記第1状態から前記第2状態へと動かし、前記第1排気孔開口部を閉じるようになっている、車両乗員保護装備。 - 請求項1に記載の車両乗員保護装備において、
前記排気孔部材は、前記第1状態と前記第2状態の間で、前記第1排気孔開口部に対して枢動できるように支持されているドアである、車両乗員保護装備。 - 請求項2に記載の車両乗員保護装備において、
前記保護装置が展開される際に、前記ドアと協働して前記ドアを前記第2状態に維持するためのラッチを更に含んでいる、車両乗員保護装備。 - 請求項2に記載の車両乗員保護装備において、
前記係留部材は、布製帯材である、車両乗員保護装備。 - 請求項4に記載の車両乗員保護装備において、
前記係留部材は、前記保護装置が展開される際に、前記保護装置から前記ドアへ張力を伝達するために、前記ドアと接続されている第2部分を有する、車両乗員保護装備。 - 請求項1に記載の車両乗員保護装備において、
前記係留部材及び前記排気孔部材は、単一の布製帯材の部分である、車両乗員保護装備。 - 請求項6に記載の車両乗員保護装備において、
前記布製帯材は第2排気孔開口部を有しており、
前記排気孔部材が前記第1状態にあるとき、前記第2排気孔開口部は、前記保護装置から前記第1排気孔開口部を通って流体が流出できるように、前記第1排気孔開口部と整合しており、
前記排気孔部材が前記第2状態にあるとき、前記第2排気孔開口部は、前記保護装置から前記第1排気孔開口部を通って流体が流出するのを遮断できるように、前記第1排気孔開口部から離れた位置にある、車両乗員保護装備。 - 請求項7に記載の車両乗員保護装備において、
前記第2排気孔開口部は、
前記保護装置が膨張状態にあって、前記第2排気孔開口部が前記第1排気孔開口部と整合している第1位置と、
前記装置が膨張状態にあって、前記第2排気孔開口部が前記第1排気孔開口部と整合していない第2位置との間で、
前記第1排気孔開口部に対して動くことができるようになっている、車両乗員保護装備。 - 請求項1に記載の車両乗員保護装備において、
前記係留部材の前記第1部分は、前記保護装置と共に動くように、第1位置で接続されている前記係留部材の第1部位と、前記保護装置と共に動くように、前記第1位置から離れた第2位置で接続されている前記係留部材の第2部位とを含んでおり、
前記係留部材の前記第1部位及び第2部位は、前記保護装置の膨張によって、前記排気孔部材から離れる方向に動き、
前記保護装置が、前記係留部材の前記第1部位と前記排気孔部材との間の距離と、前記係留部材の前記第2部位と前記排気孔部材との間の距離とを合わせた距離が、前記第1部位と前記第2部位との間の前記係留部材の長さと実質的に等しくなるように展開されるときに、前記係留部材は、前記排気孔部材を、前記第1排気孔開口部に対して、前記第1状態から前記第2状態へと動かすようになっている、車両乗員保護装備。 - 請求項9に記載の車両乗員保護装備において、
前記係留部材は、前記第1部位と前記第2部位の間に、前記排気孔部材の或る部分の回りを動いて、前記係留部材の前記第1部位と前記排気孔部材との間の距離を、前記係留部材の前記第2部位と前記排気孔部材との間の距離とは逆の関係で変化させることができる中間部分を有している、車両乗員保護装備。 - 請求項1に記載の車両乗員保護装備において、
前記係留部材は、
前記保護装置の前記第1及び第2部分が、合わせて所定量を超える量だけ前記排気孔ドアから離れる方向に動くことだけに応えて、
前記排気孔部材を、前記第1排気孔開口部に対して、前記第1状態から前記第2状態へと動かして、前記第1排気孔開口部を閉じるようになっている、車両乗員保護装備。
