Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 a. 産業上の利用分野 本発明は幌付自動車のルーフサイドシール構造に関す
る。
b. 従来の技術とその課題 第１図に示されるように屋根１を幌布で形成し、車体
２から取りはずすことができるようにした幌付自動車が
ある。
このような幌付自動車の上部側面の従来の構造を第３
図（ａ），（ｂ）に示す。
第３図（ａ）は、幌31を単に屋根１の上に被せたもの
である。この構造では、幌31の側面下端32とドアサッシ
ュ上端33との間隙34から浸水し、あるいはここからの走
行風によるばたつきがひどかった。
このため、第３図（ｂ）に示されるようにルーフサイ
ド・フレーム35をシーララップ36で巻き込み、これをク
リップ37で固定したものがある。しかし、この構造では
防水性は高まるものの、操作性が悪く、またコスト高と
なるという難点を有していた。
c. 課題を解決するための手段 本発明は、上記事情に鑑みてなされたもので、幌付自
動車のルーフサイドシール構造において、幌の側面部に
幌パッドを内蔵し、この幌内部の所定位置に一端を固定
され、他端を自由端としたシーララップを上記幌内部に
設け、該シーララップの上記自由端が、幌布の側面下端
とドアサッシュの上部に取付けられたウエザーストリッ
プとの間隙に位置して該間隙をカバーするようにした幌
付自動車のルーフサイドシール構造を提供するものであ
る。
d. 実施例 以下に添付図面を示した実施例を参照しながら本発明
にかかる幌付自動車のルーフサイドシール構造を説明す
る。
第１図は本発明に係るルーフサイドシール構造を実施
した幌付自動車３を示す。図に示されるように、この幌
付自動車３は屋根１を幌布で形成し、車体２から取りは
ずすことができるようにしている。
第２図は本発明に係るルーフサイドシール構造を示
し、図において、４は幌布、５はルーフサイド・フレー
ム、６はドアサッシュである。ルーフサイド・フレーム
５の上部およびドアサッシュ６の上部には密封性を保つ
ためのウエザーストリップ7,8が設けられている。
上記ルーフサイド・フレーム５の側面5aは本発明の特
徴部分である幌パッドおよびシーララップ（後述）を設
けるために、ドアサッシュ６の表側の面位置より若干内
部に引き込まれている。
上記幌布４の側面部９には車体の長手方向に沿って、
本発明の特徴の一つである幌パッド10が内蔵されてい
る。
また、11はシーララップで、このシーララップ11は幌
布４の内部の車体側面に近接した位置に一端11aを溶着
され、他端11bが自由端となっている。この自由端11b
は、上記幌布４の側面下端とドアサッシュ６の上端との
間隙12に位置してこの間隙12をカバーし、その下端はウ
エザーストリップ８の凹部8aに位置する。
なお、上記幌布４の側面下端とドアサッシュ６の上端
との間隙12は、美観を好適に保つように設定されてい
る。
e. 作用 上記構成の本発明に係るルーフサイドシール構造で
は、幌パッド10によって幌の側面が押えられ、走行中の
ばたつきが防止される。また、このように幌パッド10に
よって幌の側面が押えられ、さらにシーララップ11が幌
布４の側面下端とドアサッシュ６の上端との間隙に位置
するために防水性も良好である。また、幌布４の側面下
端とドアサッシュ６の上端との間隙12からは、シーララ
ップ11が見えるのみで、ルーフサイド・フレーム５が見
えず、外観的にも好適となっている。また、第３図
（ｂ）の従来例のようにクリップ37を使用する必要がな
く、操作性も良くコスト高にもならない。
f. 効果 本発明に係る幌付自動車のルーフサイドシール構造
は、上記のように、幌のばたつきを防止し、防水性およ
び外観の向上を図り、かつ構造的にも操作性が良く、コ
スト高とならないなど、実用上その効果は大きい。

他の従来のルーフサイドシール構造を説明する第１図の
Ａ−Ａ線による断面図である。 １……屋根、２……車体、 ３……幌付自動車、４……幌布、 5,35……ルーフサイド・フレーム、 ６……ドアサッシュ、 7,8……ウエザーストリップ、 10……幌パッド、11,36……シーララップ、 12,34……間隙。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】幌付自動車のルーフサイドシール構造にお
    いて、幌の側面部に幌パッドを内蔵し、この幌内部の所
    定位置に一端を固定され、他端を自由端としたシーララ
    ップを上記幌内部に設け、該シーララップの上記自由端
    が、幌布の側面下端とドアサッシュの上部に取付けられ
    たウエザーストリップとの間隙に位置して該間隙をカバ
    ーするようにしたことを特徴とする幌付自動車のルーフ
    サイドシール構造。
