Abstract
Description
本発明に係るリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液は、リチウム塩、有機溶媒、および第1添加剤を含み、上記第1添加剤は、下記化学式1で表される化合物を含む。
本発明の一実施形態に係るリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液において、上記リチウム塩はLiPF6を含み、LiPF6に追加的にリチウム二次電池用の電解液に通常的に用いられるものが制限なく使用され得る。例えば、上記リチウム塩のカチオンとしてLi+を含み、アニオンとしては、F-、Cl-、Br-、I-、NO3 -、N(CN)2 -、ClO4 -、BF4 -、B10Cl10 -、PF6 -、 CF3SO3 -、CH3CO2 -、CF3CO2 -、AsF6 -、SbF6 -、AlCl4 -、AlO4 -、CH3SO3 -、BF2C2O4 -、BC4O8 -、PF4C2O4 -、PF2C4O8 -、(CF3)2PF4 -、(CF3)3PF3 -、(CF3)4PF2 -、(CF3)5PF-、C4F9SO3 -、CF3CF2SO3 -、(CF3SO2)2N-、(FSO2)2N-、CF3CF2(CF3)2CO-、(CF3SO2)2CH-、(SF5)3C-、(CF3SO2)3C-、CF3(CF2)7SO3 -、SCN-および(CF3CF2SO2)2N-からなる群から選択された少なくともいずれか一つを挙げることができる。
上記有機溶媒は、二次電池の充放電過程で酸化反応等による分解を最小限に抑えることができ、添加剤とともに目的とする特性を発揮できるものであれば、その種類に制限はない。例えば、線状カーボネート、環状カーボネート、エステル、エーテル、ケトン、またはそれらの組み合わせを含み得る。
一方、本発明に係るリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液は、第1添加剤として化学式1で表される化合物を含み得る。
また、本発明に係るリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液は、上記混合添加剤とともに使用されて、上記混合添加剤が発現する効果とともに初期抵抗を大きく増加させずに、負極および正極の表面に安定した皮膜を形成するか、非水電解液内の溶媒の副反応に起因する分解を抑制し、リチウムイオンの移動性を向上させる補完剤としての役割を果たし得る第2添加剤をさらに含み得る。
また、本発明の一実施形態においては、本発明のリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液を含むリチウム二次電池を提供する。
上記正極は、正極集電体上に正極合剤層を形成して製造し得る。上記正極合剤層は、正極活物質、バインダー、導電材および溶媒などを含む正極スラリーを正極集電体上にコーティングした後、乾燥および圧延して形成し得る。
上記負極は、負極集電体上に負極合剤層を形成して製造し得る。上記負極合剤層は、負極集電体上に負極活物質、バインダー、導電材および溶媒などを含むスラリーをコーティングした後、乾燥および圧延して形成し得る。
また、分離膜としては、有機分離膜または有機および無機物複合分離膜を使用し得る。
<非水電解液の製造>
エチレンカーボネート(EC)、炭酸プロピレン(PC)、プロピオン酸エチル(EP)およびプロピルプロピオネート(PP)を重量比で20:10:25:45となるように混合して非水性有機溶媒を製造し、LiPF6を濃度が1.0Mとなるように溶解させた。ここに、第1添加剤として、5-メチル-5-アリルオキシカルボニル-1、3-ジオキサン-2-オン(5-Methyl-5-allyloxycarbonyl-1、3-dioxan-2-one、MACBD)を電解液の総重量を基準にして0.5重量%添加した後に混合して非水電解液を製造した。
正極活物質(Li(Ni0.6Mn0.2Co0.2)O2)、導電材(カーボンブラック)およびバインダー(ポリビニリデンフルオリド)を90:5:5重量の割合で溶剤であるN-メチル-2-ピロリドン(NMP)に添加して正極活物質スラリー(固形分濃度50重量%)を製造した。上記正極活物質スラリーを厚さ10μmである正極集電体(Al薄膜)に塗布し、乾燥し、ロールプレス(roll press)を行って、正極を製造した。
上述の方法で製造した正極と負極をポリエチレン多孔性フィルムと共に順次に積層して電極組立体を製造した後、それを電池ケースに入れて上記非水電解液を注液し、密封してリチウム二次電池を製造した。
第1添加剤として、5-メチル-5-アリルオキシカルボニル-1、3-ジオキサン-2-オン(5-Methyl-5-allyloxycarbonyl-1、3-dioxan-2-one、MACBD)を電解液の総重量を基準にして1.0重量%添加したことを除いては実施例1と同一に非水電解液および二次電池を製造した。
第1添加剤として、5-メチル-5-プロパルギルオキシカルボニル-1、3-ジオキサン-2-オン(5-Methyl-5-propargyloxycarbonyl-1、3-dioxan-2-one、MACBD)を電解液の総重量を基準にして0.5重量%添加したことを除いては実施例1と同一に非水電解液および二次電池を製造した。
第1添加剤を溶媒に添加しなかったことを除いては、実施例1と同一に非水電解液および二次電池を製造した。
第1添加剤として、5-メチル-5-アリルオキシカルボニル-1、3-ジオキサン-2-オン(5-Methyl-5-allyloxycarbonyl-1、3-dioxan-2-one、MACBD)を電解液の総重量を基準にして0.005重量%添加したことを除いては、実施例1と同一に非水電解液および二次電池を製造した。
第1添加剤として、5-メチル-5-アリルオキシカルボニル-1、3-ジオキサン-2-オン(5-Methyl-5-allyloxycarbonyl-1、3-dioxan-2-one、MACBD)を電解液の総重量を基準にして7重量%添加したことを除いては、実施例1と同一に非水電解液および二次電池を製造した。
上記実施例および比較例で製造された二次電池を常温(25℃)で0.5Cのレートで4.2Vまで定電流/定電圧の条件で充電を行い、0.5Cのレートで2.5Vに放電した。この時、上記充放電をPNE-0506充放電器(製造社:(株)PNEソリューション、5V、6A)を用いて行い、このとき測定された放電容量を初期放電容量として定義した。
式(1):容量維持率(%)=(200サイクル後の放電容量/初期放電容量)×100
上記実施例および比較例で製造された二次電池を常温(25℃)で0.5Cのレートで4.2Vまで定電流/定電圧の条件で充電を行い、0.5Cのレートで2.5Vに放電した。この時、上記充放電をPNE-0506充放電器(製造社:(株)PNE溶液、5V、6A)を用いて行い、このとき測定された放電容量を初期放電容量として定義した。

Claims (11)
- 前記化学式1において、前記R1は、置換または非置換された炭素数2~20のアルケニル基および置換または非置換された炭素数2~20のアルキニル基である、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液。
- 前記第1添加剤は、下記化学式1aで表される化合物および化学式1bで表される化合物を含む群から選択された1種以上である、請求項1または2に記載のリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液。
- 前記第1添加剤は、前記化学式1aで表される化合物および化学式1bで表される化合物の双方を含み、前記化学式1aで表される化合物および化学式1bで表される化合物のモル割合は2:8~8:2である、請求項3または4に記載のリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液。
- 前記第1添加剤は、電解液の総重量に対して0.01~5重量%含まれる、請求項1から5の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液。
- 前記第1添加剤は、電解液の総重量に対して0.1~3重量%含まれる、請求項1から6の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液。
- ハロゲン置換または非置換されたハロゲン置換または非置換された環状カーボネート系化合物、ニトリル系化合物、リン酸塩系化合物、ホウ酸塩系化合物、スルトン系化合物、リチウム塩系化合物および硫酸塩系化合物からなる群から選択された少なくとも一つ以上の第2添加剤をさらに含む、請求項1から7の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液。
- 前記リチウム塩は、LiPF6、LiAsF6、LiN(SO2F)2、LiCF3SO3、LiN(CF3SO2)2、LiBF6、LiSbF6、LiN(C2F5SO2)2、LiAlO4、LiAlCl4、LiSO3CF3およびLiClO4を含む群から選択される少なくとも一つである、請求項1から8の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液。
- 前記有機溶媒は、線状カーボネート、環状カーボネート、エステル、エーテル、ケトンまたはこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項1から9の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液。
- 請求項1から10の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用の非水電解液を含む、リチウム二次電池。
