Claims (41)
- インストルメント・パネルに取り付けられるように構成されるエアバッグ・シュートと、
前記エアバッグ・シュートに取り付けられたエアバッグ・モジュール筐体と、
を具備するエアバッグ組み立て体であって、
前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体がそれぞれ、少なくとも50wt%の熱可塑性オレフィンまたは熱可塑性エラストマーを含む、エアバッグ組み立て体。 - 前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体がそれぞれ、50wt%以下のガラスフィラーを含む、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体が、ガラスフィラーを実質的に含まない、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体がそれぞれ、同一材料から形成される、請求項1に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体が、1.0~3.5mmの範囲内の平均厚さを有する側壁を具備する、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- インストルメント・パネルをさらに具備する、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記インストルメント・パネルが、第2の熱可塑性オレフィンまたは熱可塑性エラストマーを含む、請求項6に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートが、振動溶着、超音波溶着、赤外線溶着、トップロード式の設計、スナップフィット式の設計、接着剤による結合、および/または機械的な締結によって、前記インストルメント・パネルに取り付けられる、請求項6に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記熱可塑性オレフィンまたは熱可塑性エラストマーが、ポリオレフィン系ポリプロピレン・マトリクス中に分散されたエラストマー・ドメインを含む、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートが、1つまたは複数の側壁上にリブを具備する、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体と前記エアバッグ・シュートが、両方とも射出成形される、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体が、ボルトまたはネジによって取り付けられる、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートが、ボルトまたはネジに、ネジ込みインサートにより取り付けられる、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートおよび/または前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体の周囲に配置された周方向張力リングをさらに具備する、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記インストルメント・パネルと前記エアバッグ・シュートとの間に取り付けられたインストルメント・パネル基材をさらに具備する、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記インストルメント・パネル基材が、ガラス-ポリプロピレン、ポリプロピレン、ガラス-ナイロン、タルク、ガラスフィラー、および/または熱可塑性ポリオレフィンを含む、請求項15に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートが側壁を具備し、各側壁が複数の窓を形成し、前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体が、前記エアバッグ・シュートの各窓に対応する突起部を備えた少なくとも2つの側壁を具備する、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記突起部が前記窓内に突出する場合に、前記エアバッグ・シュートの側壁と、前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体の少なくとも2つの側壁とが二重壁を形成する、請求項17に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- エアバッグの展開によって生じる内圧により、前記エアバッグの展開の最初から最後まで、前記突起部と窓との係合が維持される、請求項18に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体が、前記エアバッグ・シュート内に完全に挿入される、請求項18記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記熱可塑性オレフィンまたは前記熱可塑性エラストマーが、以下の構成成分(A)および(B)を含み、100重量部の構成成分(A)あたり10から300重量部の構成成分(B)を含有し、測定温度230℃、測定負荷21.18Nでのメルトフローレートが0.5から50g/10分であり、
構成成分(A)がポリプロピレン系樹脂であり、
構成成分(B)が、エチレンから構成されるポリマー・ブロックと、エチレン・α-オレフィン・コポリマー・ブロックとを含有するオレフィン系ブロック・コポリマーである、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。 - 構成成分(B)が、110から125℃のところに結晶融解ピークを有するオレフィン系ブロック・コポリマーであり、前記ピークでの結晶融解熱量が20から60J/gである、請求項21に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 構成成分(B)のエチレン・α-オレフィン・コポリマー・ブロック中のα-オレフィンの炭素数が4から8である、請求項21に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 構成成分(B)が、エチレンから構成されるポリマー・ブロックと、エチレン-1-オクテン・コポリマー・ブロックとを含有するオレフィン系ブロック・コポリマーである、請求項21記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 構成成分(A)が、第1のステップでプロピレン・ホモポリマーを重合させ、次いで第2のステップでプロピレン-エチレン・コポリマーを重合させることにより得られるポリプロピレン・ブロック・コポリマーである、請求項21に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体がそれぞれ、少なくとも80wt%の熱可塑性オレフィンまたは熱可塑性エラストマーを含む、請求項21に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 60~150psiの内圧に耐えられる、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 16から32個の間の窓と突起部とを具備する、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記シュートが複数のリブを具備する、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体が、単一の組み合わせ型具において形成される、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
- エアバッグ・モジュール筐体の全重量に対して少なくとも50wt%の熱可塑性オレフィンまたは熱可塑性エラストマーを含む、エアバッグ・モジュール筐体。
- 50wt%以下のガラスフィラーを含む、請求項31に記載のエアバッグ・モジュール筐体。
- ガラスフィラーを実質的に含まない、請求項31に記載のエアバッグ・モジュール筐体。
- 1.0~3.5mmの範囲の平均厚さを有する側壁をさらに具備する、請求項31、32、または33に記載のエアバッグ・モジュール筐体。
- 複数の突起部をさらに具備する、請求項31、32、または33に記載のエアバッグ・モジュール筐体。
- 少なくとも50wt%の熱可塑性オレフィンまたは熱可塑性エラストマーを含み、側壁を具備するエアバッグ・シュートであって、
各側壁が複数の窓を形成し、
各側壁が外面を有し、少なくとも2つの側壁がリブを有する、エアバッグ・シュート。 - エアバッグ・シュートとエアバッグ・モジュール筐体とを製造する方法であって、
前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ筐体を、単一の組み合わせ型具において射出成形により同時に形成することを含む方法。 - 前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体がそれぞれ、少なくとも50wt%の熱可塑性オレフィンまたは熱可塑性エラストマーを含む、請求項37に記載の方法。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体がそれぞれ、50wt%以下のガラスフィラーを含む、請求項37または38に記載の方法。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体が、ガラスフィラーを実質的に含まない、請求項37または38に記載の方法。
- 前記エアバッグ・シュートと前記エアバッグ・モジュール筐体がそれぞれ、インサート成形された布またはスクリム(scrim)をさらに含む、請求項1、2、3、または4に記載のエアバッグ組み立て体。
