Abstract
Description
第1透明材料および第2透明材料の両方は、少なくとも2000m/秒の音速を有する。

弾性率
膜の剛性を測定するために特に構成されるナノインデンターを使用して、弾性率を測定した。ナノインデンテーションは、薄膜に関して理想的であるいくつかの面内弾性率成分を有する横弾性率を測定する。ナノインデンター(Hysitron TI 980 TriboIndenter, Bruker, Minneapolis, MN)を使用して、膜インデンテーション弾性率を特徴づけた。インデント深さの関数としての機械特性の単一測定からの改善された表面検出および抽出のために、ナノインデンターは、それぞれ、1nNおよび0.04nmの荷重および変位解像度を有し、連続剛性モードで運転され、それによって、インデンターチップは1~2nmの振幅で連続的に振動した。それぞれの試験片上に20~25のインデンテーションを作成することによって、約50nm以上からインデンテーション深さまで標準Berkovichチップの射影接触面積関数が較正された。試料台に接着剤を使用することによって、示された膜を試料ホルダーに取り付けた。試験系が約0.1~0.2nm/秒の熱ドリフトに到達したら、それぞれのコーティング上の少なくとも6つの異なる位置でインデンテーションを作成した。測定後、その測定に続いて、以前の較正を確認するために、試験片上で3~5つのインデンテーションを再び作成した。
二重片持梁試験によって界面結合強度を測定した。この試験では、1インチ×6インチの多層膜試験片を使用する。この試験片は、荷重下での試料歪曲を制限するため、かつ荷重ブロックに付着させるために、1インチ×6インチのアルミニウム裏当材で上部および底部を接着させた。結果、以下のサンドイッチ構造が得られる:Al裏当材/「A」層/「B」層/「A」層/Al裏当材。次いで、荷重ブロックをアルミニウム裏当材上部および底部に付着させた。1000ポンド荷重セルを備えたElectroForce 1000荷重フレームで試料を試験した。この試験では、最も弱い層の間で意図的に初期の亀裂が作成され、亀裂は界面に沿って伝播し、その間に横方向荷重、開口部変位および試験片長軸に沿った亀裂長さを測定する。亀裂が容易に作成可能である場合、界面接着は低いか、または適度であり、かつGIcを測定することができる。亀裂が作成不可能である場合、層間接着は高いか、または全く接着はなく、その代わりに圧密である。完全に圧密化された3層スタックは分離不可能であるべきである。破損の場所は他の場所でなければならない。
多層膜および個々の膜層の厚さを決定するために、膜の断面走査電子顕微鏡(SEM)像を得た。膜試料を切断し、エポキシに取り付け、一晩乾燥させた。次に、試料をビューラー(Buehler)可変速度グラインダー/研磨装置を用いて研磨し、乾燥度を確実にするために約2時間デシケーター中へ入れた。可変圧力下でのHitachi S-3400 SEM (Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc., Schaumburg, IL)を用いて画像を撮った。
実施例1(E1)に関して、多層膜を共押出形成によってキャストし、圧密によって「ABA」型の層を形成した。3つの別個のポリアミド酸ポリマー流を、加熱された移動ベルト上へ多数個取り押出ダイを通して同時に押出成形して共押出3層ポリアミド酸膜を形成した。これを硬化すると3層ポリイミド膜を形成することができる。ポリイミドコア層(第2透明無色ポリマー層)並びに上部および底部外層(第1透明無色ポリマー層および第3透明無色ポリマー層)の厚さは、押出機に供給されるポリアミック酸の量を変えることによって調整された。層弾性率を増加させるために、ケイ素酸化物ナノ粒子を外側「A」層に導入した。
25℃から45℃まで(5℃/分)、45℃で5分間保持;
45℃から150℃まで(20℃/分)、150℃で10分間保持;
150℃から250℃まで(20℃/分)、250℃で10分間保持;
250℃から350℃まで(20℃/分)、350℃で5分間保持。
実施例2(E2)に関して、約18体積%まで外層中のケイ素酸化物ナノ粒子の濃度を増加させるためにケイ素酸化物コロイドの流速を増加させたことを除き、E1に記載のものと同一手順を使用した。

- ポリイミド、ポリアミドイミドまたはポリイミドのブロックコポリマーを含み、第1弾性率を有する、第1透明無色ポリマー層と、
ポリイミド、ポリアミドイミドまたはポリイミドのブロックコポリマーを含み、第2弾性率を有する、第2透明無色ポリマー層と
を含み、
第1弾性率が第2弾性率とは異なり、
第1透明無色ポリマー層および第2透明無色ポリマー層が、圧密によって結合されている
ことを特徴とする多層ポリマー膜。 - 第1透明無色ポリマー層、第2透明無色層、または第1透明無色ポリマー層および第2透明無色ポリマー層の両方が、無機ナノ粒子をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の多層ポリマー膜。
- 第1透明無色ポリマー層のポリマーが架橋されているか、第2透明無色ポリマー層のポリマーが架橋されているか、あるいは、第1透明無色ポリマー層および第2透明無色ポリマー層の両方のポリマーが架橋されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の多層ポリマー膜。
- (i)第1透明無色ポリマー層がイミド化触媒をさらに含むか、または
(ii)第2透明無色ポリマー層がイミド化触媒をさらに含むか、または

ことを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の多層ポリマー膜。 - (i) 第1弾性率および第3弾性率が本質的に同一であるか、
(ii) 第1弾性率が第3弾性率より大きいか、または
(iii) 第3弾性率が第1弾性率より大きい
ことを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の多層ポリマー膜。 - 請求項1に記載の多層ポリマー膜を含む、ディスプレー用のカバーウインドウであって、前記多層ポリマー膜の第1透明無色層が、前記ディスプレーから最も遠い層であることを特徴とする、カバーウインドウ。
- 前記多層ポリマー膜が層の間に界面を有し、かつ前記界面のそれぞれが少なくとも100J/m2のモードI層間破壊靭性(GIc)を有することを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のカバーウインドウ。
- 前記多層ポリマー膜と前記ディスプレーとの間に配置された高音速を有する透明材料の層をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のカバーウインドウ。
- 前記高音速を有する透明材料が、少なくとも2000m/秒の音速を有することを特徴とする、請求項10に記載のカバーウインドウ。
- 前記高音速を有する透明材料が、ガラス、ポリイミド、ポリアミドイミド、ポリ(メタクリル酸メチル)、ポリエーテルケトン、ポリスチレン、ポリカーボネート、ポリエステルおよび粒子強化ポリマーからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載のカバーウインドウ。
- 前記ディスプレーの反対側面上で前記多層ポリマー膜の第1透明無色層上に配置された高音速を有する透明材料の層をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のカバーウインドウ。
- 前記高音速を有する透明材料が、少なくとも2000m/秒の音速を有することを特徴とする、請求項13に記載のカバーウインドウ。
- 前記高音速を有する透明材料が、ガラス、ポリイミド、ポリアミドイミド、ポリ(メタクリル酸メチル)、ポリエーテルケトン、ポリスチレン、ポリカーボネート、ポリエステルおよび粒子強化ポリマーからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載のカバーウインドウ。
- 前記多層ポリマー膜と前記ディスプレーとの間に配置された高音速を有する透明材料の第1層と、
前記ディスプレーの反対側面上で前記多層ポリマー膜の第1透明無色層上に配置された高音速を有する第2透明材料の層と
をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のカバーウインドウ。 - (i) 高音速を有する第1透明材料が、少なくとも2000m/秒の音速を有するか、
(ii) 高音速を有する第2透明材料が、少なくとも2000m/秒の音速を有するか、または
(iii) 高音速を有する第1透明材料および第2透明材料の両方が、少なくとも2000m/秒の音速を有する
ことを特徴とする、請求項16に記載のカバーウインドウ。
