Abstract
Description
Claims (4)
- エンジン本体の上部に配置されるシリンダヘッドと、
前記シリンダヘッドの上側にシール面を介して気密に接合されるシリンダヘッドカバーと、
前記シリンダヘッドの一側面に開口する集合排気出口と、
前記集合排気出口より上側に延びる排気通路部を有するターボ過給機と、
前記排気通路部から前記エンジン本体の側面に沿って下方へ延びる触媒ケースと、
前記エンジン本体側に開放した形状に形成され、前記エンジン本体と反対側から前記触媒ケースを覆う触媒ケースカバーと、を備える車両用内燃機関であって、
前記触媒ケースカバーの上端部が前記シリンダヘッドカバーの側方に配置され、
前記触媒ケースカバーと前記エンジン本体との間に、鉛直方向に延びる板状の遮熱板が配置され、
前記遮熱板の上端が前記触媒ケースカバーの上端よりも上方に突出していることを特徴とする車両用内燃機関。 - 前記遮熱板は、前記シリンダヘッドと前記シリンダヘッドカバーとに支持されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用内燃機関。
- 前記シリンダヘッドは、該シリンダヘッドの前記一側面から突出し前記集合排気出口が開口するフランジ部を有し、
前記触媒ケースは、前記フランジ部の側方に配置され、
前記遮熱板は、前記フランジ部の上側から前記触媒ケースの裏側へ延びる本体部と、前記本体部から前記触媒ケースの前記裏側に沿って下方に延びる下側延長部と、を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用内燃機関。 - 前記触媒ケースカバーは、外気を導入する開口部を有し、
前記開口部は、前記触媒ケースカバーにおける前記遮熱板の前方の位置に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の車両用内燃機関。
