Description
特許文献1に記載のものは、過給機のタービンハウジングと過給機との間の通路に、空燃比センサ又は酸素センサ等の排気センサが配置されており、気筒間の空燃比の不均衡を検出する精度を向上させるため、バイパス通路を通る排気ガスを排気センサに直接当てるように指向させている。
また、シリンダヘッド12には、いずれも図示しない吸気バルブ、複数の排気ポートおよび排気ポートを開閉する複数の排気バルブなどが設けられている。
Claims (1)
- エンジンは気筒列を車幅方向である左右方向に向けて車両に設置され、前記車両に設置された状態の前記エンジンの上下方向、前後方向、左右方向を、それぞれ前記エンジンの上下方向、前後方向、左右方向とした場合、
前記エンジンの排気通路に過給機のタービンハウジングと触媒とが排気ガスの流れ方向に直列に設けられ、
前記エンジンの左右方向に向いた前記タービンハウジングの排気出口と前記触媒との間に、前記排気出口から湾曲して下方に延びる連結通路を形成する連結通路形成部材が設けられ、
前記連結通路形成部材は、前記連結通路の湾曲中心と反対側に、排気センサが設けられる壁部を有し、
前記壁部は、
前記排気出口と対向する部位に配置され、かつ、その上側から下側に向かうにつれて前記タービンハウジングから遠ざかるように傾斜する第1の平坦部と、
前記第1の平坦部の下端部で外側に向かって屈曲する屈曲部と、
前記屈曲部を介して前記第1の平坦部に連結され、前記第1の平坦部の延長面よりも外側に延びる第2の平坦部と、を有し、
前記エンジンの左右方向から前記連結通路形成部材を見た場合、前記第2の平坦部の下縁部に、下方に凸の円弧状の下側外周部が形成され、
前記連結通路形成部材は、前記下側外周部に連続する円筒形状の円筒部を有し、
前記下側外周部は、前記エンジンの前後方向で前記第2の平坦部の上縁部よりも外側に延びる延長部を有し、
前記排気出口は、前記エンジンの左右方向で前記タービンハウジングに近い前記連結通路形成部材の一端側に配置され、
前記排気センサは、前記エンジンの左右方向で前記タービンハウジングから離れる前記連結通路形成部材の他端側に配置され、かつ前記延長部に沿って湾曲して流れる排気ガスが前記排気センサの外周に回り込むよう前記エンジンの前後方向で前記延長部と隣接する位置に配置されていることを特徴とするエンジンの排気通路構造。
