Abstract
Description
実施形態1.基体であって、

基体が、少なくとも700MPaの平均強度を含む、基体。
炭化ケイ素を含み、2ミクロン以下の平均結晶粒径を有する第1の相と、
金属酸化物を含む第2の相であって、第2の相が、第1の相の結晶粒境界に位置する離散結晶粒間相である、第2の相と、を含み、
基体が、
少なくとも1000/100ミクロンの画像幅の第2の相の計数指数、
少なくとも2000ピクセル//100ミクロンの画像幅の第2の相の平均面積指数、
少なくとも3.00ピクセル2の第2の相の平均サイズ指数、
またはそれらの任意の組み合わせ、のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、基体。
炭化ケイ素を含み、2ミクロン以下の平均結晶粒径を有する第1の相と、
金属酸化物を含む第2の相であって、第2の相が離散結晶粒間相であり、第2の相の大部分が、第1の相の3つ以上の結晶粒間の三重境界領域に位置している、第2の相と、を含む、基体。
少なくとも1000/100ミクロンの画像幅の第2の相の計数指数、
少なくとも2000ピクセル/100ミクロンの画像幅の第2の相の平均面積指数、
少なくとも3.00ピクセル2の第2の相の平均サイズ指数、
またはそれらの任意の組み合わせ、のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、実施形態1および3のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
少なくとも1000/100ミクロンの画像幅かつ4000/100ミクロン以下の画像幅の範囲内の第2の相の計数指数、
少なくとも2000ピクセル/100ミクロンの画像幅かつ30000ピクセル/100ミクロン以下の画像幅の範囲内の第2の相の平均面積指数、
少なくとも3.00ピクセル2かつ10.00ピクセル2以下の範囲内の第2の相の平均サイズ指数、
またはそれらの任意の組み合わせ、のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、実施形態2および41のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
少なくとも1000/100ミクロンの画像幅かつ4000/100ミクロン以下の画像幅の範囲内の第2の相の計数指数、
少なくとも2000ピクセル/100ミクロンの画像幅かつ30000ピクセル/100ミクロン以下の画像幅の範囲内の第2の相の平均面積指数、
少なくとも3.00ピクセル2かつ10.00ピクセル2以下の範囲内の第2の相の平均サイズ指数、
またはそれらの任意の組み合わせ、を含む、実施形態2および41のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
炭化ケイ素を含む第1の粉末材料、および
金属酸化物を含む第2の粉末材料、を含む粉末材料のブレンドを得ることと、
粉末材料のブレンドを焼結して、
炭化ケイ素を含む第1の相、
金属酸化物を含む第2の相、を含む基体を形成することであって、第2の相が、第1の相の結晶粒境界に位置する離散結晶粒間相であり、
基体が、少なくとも700MPaの平均強度を含む、形成することと、を含む、方法。
粉末材料と担体材料とのブレンドのスラリーを作製することと、
スラリーを混合することと、
粒子を乾燥させて、
少なくとも20ミクロンかつ200ミクロン以下を含む範囲内の平均粒径を有する、ブレンドされた未焼成の粒子を形成することと、を含む、実施形態53に記載の方法。
少なくとも1900℃かつ2100℃以下の焼結温度、
焼結温度での焼結の間、少なくとも2000psiかつ5000psi以下の焼結圧力、および
焼結温度で少なくとも0.5時間かつ5時間以下の持続時間、を含む条件を使用するホットプレスを介して焼結が行われる、実施形態52に記載の方法。
Claims (15)
- 基体であって、
炭化ケイ素を含む第1の相と、
金属酸化物を含む第2の相であって、前記第2の相が、前記第1の相の結晶粒境界に位置する離散結晶粒間相である、第2の相と、を含み、
前記基体が、少なくとも700MPaの平均強度を含む、基体。 - 基体であって、
炭化ケイ素を含み、2ミクロン以下の平均結晶粒径を有する第1の相と、
金属酸化物を含む第2の相であって、前記第2の相が、前記第1の相の結晶粒境界に位置する離散結晶粒間相である、第2の相と、を含み、
前記基体が、
少なくとも1000/100ミクロンの画像幅の第2の相の計数指数、
少なくとも2000ピクセル//100ミクロンの画像幅の第2の相の平均面積指数、
少なくとも3.00ピクセル2の第2の相の平均サイズ指数、
またはそれらの任意の組み合わせ、のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、基体。 - 前記基体が、前記基体の総重量に対して少なくとも70重量%かつ99重量%以下の前記第1の相を含み、前記第1の相が、アルファ相炭化ケイ素を含む、請求項1および2のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
- 前記第1の相が、2ミクロン以下の平均結晶粒径を有する、請求項1および2のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
- 前記第1の相が、10ミクロン以下の最大結晶粒径を含む、請求項1および2のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
- 前記基体が、前記基体の総重量に対して少なくとも1重量%かつ10重量%以下の前記第2の相を含み、前記第2の相の前記金属酸化物が、アルミニウムおよびケイ素を含む、請求項1および2のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
- 前記基体が、少なくとも700MPaの平均強度を含む、請求項1および2のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
- 前記基体が、少なくとも700MPaかつ1200MPa以下の平均強度を含む、請求項1および2のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
- 前記第2の相が、前記第1の相の結晶粒境界に位置する離散結晶粒間相であり、前記基体が、少なくとも1000の第2の相の計数指数を含む、請求項1および2のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
- 前記第2の相の計数指数が、少なくとも1100/100ミクロンの画像幅かつ4000/100ミクロン以下の画像幅である、請求項2および9のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
- 前記第2の相の平均面積指数が、少なくとも2500ピクセル/100ミクロンの画像幅かつ30000ピクセル/100ミクロン以下の画像幅である、請求項2および9のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
- 前記第2の相の平均サイズ指数が、少なくとも3.10ピクセル2かつ10.00ピクセル2以下である、請求項2および9のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
- 前記基体が、
少なくとも1000/100ミクロンの画像幅かつ4000/100ミクロン以下の画像幅の範囲内の第2の相の計数指数、
少なくとも2000ピクセル/100ミクロンの画像幅かつ30000ピクセル/100ミクロン以下の画像幅の範囲内の第2の相の平均面積指数、
少なくとも3.00ピクセル2かつ10.00ピクセル2以下の範囲内の第2の相の平均サイズ指数、
またはそれらの任意の組み合わせ、のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項2および9のいずれか一項に記載の基体。 - 前記基体が、少なくとも0.0001ccかつ0.1cc以下を含む範囲内の平均摩耗値を含み、さらに前記基体が、少なくとも3.7MPa m1/2かつ7MPa m1/2以下の平均破壊靱性を含み、さらに前記基体が、少なくとも20GPaかつ40GPa以下の平均硬度(HV0.1kg)を含む、請求項1および2のいずれか一項に記載の基体。
- 基体を形成する方法であって、
炭化ケイ素を含む第1の粉末材料、および
金属酸化物を含む第2の粉末材料、を含む粉末材料のブレンドを得ることと、
炭化ケイ素を含む第1の相と、
金属酸化物を含む第2の相であって、前記第2の相が、前記第1の相の結晶粒境界に位置する離散結晶粒間相である、第2の相と、を含み、
前記基体が、少なくとも700MPaの平均強度を含む、前記基体を形成するために前記粉末材料のブレンドを焼結することと、を含む、方法。
