Claims (15)
- 硫酸塩法によって得られた二酸化チタン粒子を後処理前に水性懸濁液中で粉砕する、二酸化チタン顔料の製造方法であって、湿式粉砕を、少なくとも3つの撹拌ボールミルのカスケードを通過させる粉砕として実施し、且つ、第1の撹拌ボールミルの粉砕媒体は、第2または引き続く撹拌ボールミルの粉砕媒体より大きい直径および/またはより高い密度を有することを特徴とする、前記方法。
- 少なくとも前記第1の撹拌ボールミルが、前記ミルの容積の15倍を上回る、特に20倍を上回る、およびより好ましくは約30〜35倍の、1時間あたりのスループットで稼働されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも前記第1の撹拌ボールミルが水平式に取り付けられており、且つさらなる撹拌ボールミルの少なくとも1つが垂直式に取り付けられていることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の撹拌ボールミルが水平式に取り付けられており、且つ第2および第3の撹拌ボールミルが垂直式に取り付けられていることを特徴とする、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の撹拌ボールミルが、0.6〜1.2mmの範囲内の大きさを有するセラミックの粉砕媒体で充填されていることを特徴とする、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の撹拌ボールミルが0.6〜0.8mmの大きさのケイ酸ジルコニウムのビーズで充填され、第2の撹拌ボールミルが0.6〜0.8mmの大きさのオタワ砂で充填され、且つ第3の撹拌ボールミルが0.4〜0.6mmの大きさのオタワ砂で充填されることを特徴とする、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記懸濁液が分散剤、特にヘキサメタホスフェートを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記二酸化チタン粒子が、湿式粉砕前に4.5未満のSC値(MAB試験)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記二酸化チタン粒子を、湿式粉砕前に、振り子式ミルまたは高圧縮ローラーミル内での乾式粉砕に供することを特徴とする、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記乾式粉砕において、粉砕助剤、特に1,1,1−トリメチロールプロパン(TMP)を添加することを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 炭素として計算して且つTiO2に対して0.03〜0.3質量%、特に0.04〜0.1質量%のTMPを添加することを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記湿式粉砕に引き続いて、前記二酸化チタン粒子を酸化アルミニウムで、好ましくは多段階の工程において、後処理することを特徴とする、請求項1から11までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記二酸化チタン粒子を引き続き、スチームジェットミル内で微粉化し、その間に、親水性の有機化合物、特に1,1,1−トリメチロールプロパン(TMP)を添加することを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 請求項1から13までのいずれか1項に記載の方法によって得られた二酸化チタン顔料。
- 請求項14に記載の得られる二酸化チタン顔料の、コーティングおよび印刷インク中での使用。
