Claims (24)
- (a) 二酸化チタン粒子の水性スラリーを調製する工程と;
(b) 工程(a)の後に、二酸化チタン粒子の水性スラリーを粉砕する工程と;
(c) 工程(b)の後に、二酸化チタン粒子を処理して、少なくとも一の水和金属酸化物コーティングをその上に析出させる工程と;
(d) 工程(c)の後に、超音波を用いて、コートされた二酸化チタン粒子の水性スラリーを解凝集する工程
とを含む、二酸化チタン顔料を製造する方法。 - 二酸化チタン粒子が硫酸法又は塩素法で製造される、請求項1記載の方法。
- コートされた二酸化チタン粒子を濾過し及び洗浄する工程をさらに含む、請求項1または2記載の方法。
- 工程(c)の後であって工程(d)の前に、コートされた二酸化チタン粒子を水性媒体中に分散させてスラリーの総質量に基づき30〜60質量%の該コートされた二酸化チタン粒子を含むスラリーを作ることをさらに含む、請求項3記載の方法。
- 解凝集された二酸化チタン粒子を乾燥して、乾燥した二酸化チタン顔料粉体を提供する工程をさらに含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 乾燥した二酸化チタン顔料粉体を粉砕する工程をさらに含む、請求項5記載の方法。
- 工程(a)において形成された水性スラリーが、該水性スラリーの総質量に基づき5〜65質量%の該二酸化チタン粒子を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項記載の方法。

- 工程(a)において形成された水性スラリーが、該水性スラリーの総質量に基づき25〜40質量%の該二酸化チタン粒子を含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 該水和金属酸化物が、アルミニウム、ホウ素、リン、ケイ素、チタン、ジルコニウム、及びこれらの混合物の無機酸化物からなる群より選ばれる、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 該水和金属酸化物が、該二酸化チタン粒子上に該二酸化チタン粒子の総質量に基づき0.5 〜25質量%の量で析出される、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 該スラリーが、少なくとも94体積%の二酸化チタン粒子が0.63μm以下の粒子サイズを有するのに十分な時間、粉砕される請求項1〜11のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 超音波を用いた解凝集工程が、二酸化チタン粒子が所定の粒子サイズを有するのに十分な時間、実施される請求項1〜12のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- (a) 二酸化チタン粒子の水性スラリーを調製する工程と;
(b) 工程(a)の後に、該水性スラリーを粉砕する工程と;
(c) 該二酸化チタン粒子を処理して、少なくとも一の水和金属酸化物コーティングをその上に析出させる工程と;
(d) 超音波を用いて、コートされた二酸化チタン粒子を解凝集する工程と;
(e) 工程(d)の後に、解凝集された粒子を流体エネルギー粉砕により粉砕する工程
とを含む、二酸化チタン顔料を製造する方法。 - 二酸化チタン粒子が硫酸法又は塩素法で製造される、請求項14記載の方法。
- 解凝集する工程(d)の前に、二酸化チタン粒子を水性媒体中に分散させてスラリーの総質量に基づき30〜60質量%の該二酸化チタン粒子を含むスラリーを作ることをさらに含む、請求項14または15記載の方法。
- 工程(a)において形成された水性スラリーが、該水性スラリーの総質量に基づき5〜65質量%の該二酸化チタン粒子を含む、請求項14〜16のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 工程(a)において形成された水性スラリーが、該水性スラリーの総質量に基づき15〜45質量%の該二酸化チタン粒子を含む、請求項14〜17のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 工程(a)において形成された水性スラリーが、該水性スラリーの総質量に基づき25〜40質量%の該二酸化チタン粒子を含む、請求項14〜18のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 該水和金属酸化物が、アルミニウム、ホウ素、リン、ケイ素、チタン、ジルコニウム、及びこれらの混合物の無機酸化物からなる群より選ばれる、請求項14〜19のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 該水和金属酸化物が、該二酸化チタン粒子上に該二酸化チタン粒子の総質量に基づき0.5 〜25質量%の量で析出される、請求項14〜20のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- (a) 二酸化チタン粒子の水性スラリーを調製する工程と;
(b) 工程(a)の後に、超音波を用いて、二酸化チタン粒子の水性スラリーを解凝集する工程と;
(c) 工程(b)の後に、二酸化チタン粒子を処理して、少なくとも一の水和金属酸化物コーティングをその上に析出させる工程;
(d) 工程(c)の後に、超音波を用いて、コートされた二酸化チタン粒子を解凝集する工程
とを含む、二酸化チタン顔料を製造する方法。 - 工程(a)の後であって工程(c)の前に、該水性スラリーを粉砕する工程をさらに含む、請求項22記載の方法。
- 工程(c)の後に、コートされた二酸化チタン粒子を水性媒体中に分散させてスラリーの総質量に基づき30〜60質量%の該コートされた二酸化チタン粒子を含むスラリーを作ることをさらに含む、請求項22または23記載の方法。
