Abstract
Description
コネクタ装置の小型化が、今日、ますます要望されており、コネクタ構造の改良が求められる。本発明はこのような従来技術における問題点を解決するためになされたものであり、コネクタやコネクタ装置を大型化することなく、フィンガープロテクト機能を有する電源コネクタに係止機能を付加することを目的とする。
この態様の電源コネクタによれば、ハウジングの内部に設けた挿入空間に対応係止部を設けることとしているため、挿入空間に挿入された相手ハウジングの少なくとも一部との係止を、ハウジングの外部ではなく内部で行うことができ、従って、コネクタやコネクタ装置を大型化することなく、フィンガープロテクト機能を有する電源コネクタに係止機能を付加することができる。
この態様の電源コネクタによれば、大電流が流れるおそれがある電源端子同士を壁によって仕切ることにより、沿面距離を大きくすることができる。
この態様の電源コネクタによれば、一対の規制突部を断面において対向配置することにより、試験指が規制突部と衝突する可能性が増し、フィンガープロテクト機能を向上させることができる。
この態様の電源コネクタによれば、対向配置された一対の規制突部に重なりを設けることにより、試験指等の挿入を効果的に防止して、フィンガープロテクト機能をより向上させることができる。
この態様の電源コネクタによれば、一対の規制突部と電源端子との間に重なり部分を設けることにより、フィンガープロテクト機能をより向上させることができる。

Claims (10)
- 相手コネクタの相手ハウジングの少なくとも一部が挿入される挿入空間を内部に有するハウジングと、
前記挿入空間に露出させた状態で設けた露出部の少なくとも一部であって前記相手ハウジングの少なくとも一部が前記挿入空間と連通した挿入口を通じて前記挿入空間に挿入されたときに前記相手ハウジングに設けた相手電源端子と接触し得る接触部を有する電源端子と、
前記挿入空間に対する前記相手ハウジングの少なくとも一部の挿入方向において前記電源端子の露出部よりも前記挿入口に近い側のいずれかの位置に配置され、且つ、規格化された試験指が前記挿入口を通じて前記挿入空間に挿入されようとしたときに少なくとも前記試験指が前記電源端子の露出部に触れないように突出した規制突部と、
前記挿入空間に設けられ、前記相手ハウジングの少なくとも一部が前記挿入口を通じて前記挿入空間に挿入されたときに前記相手ハウジングに設けた係止部が係止され得る対応係止部と、
を備える、ことを特徴とする電源コネクタ。 - 前記電源端子は相隣り合って複数設けられており、前記電源端子の各々が配置された挿入空間が隔壁によって互いに仕切られている、請求項1に記載の電源コネクタ。
- 前記規制突部は、前記挿入方向と直交する断面において対向配置された一対の規制突部を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の電源コネクタ。
- 前記挿入空間は、
前記相手ハウジングの少なくとも一部が前記挿入口を通じて前記挿入空間に挿入されたときに、前記少なくとも一部のうちの、前記係止部を設けた係止部分が主として挿入される、前記挿入空間における第一の区画部と、
前記相手ハウジングの少なくとも一部が前記挿入口を通じて前記挿入空間に挿入されたときに、前記少なくとも一部のうちの、前記係止部分以外の部分が主として挿入される、前記挿入空間における第二の区画部と、を含む、請求項3に記載の電源コネクタ。 - 前記断面は、前記挿入方向と直交する断面において、第一の方向と、該第一の方向と直交する第二の方向とを有し、
前記一対の規制突部は、それぞれ、互いに接近するように前記挿入空間の内部に向かって少なくとも前記第一の方向に沿って突出しており、且つ、前記一対の規制突部は、前記第二の方向において重なりを有する、請求項4に記載の電源コネクタ。 - 前記電源端子は、実質的に前記第二の方向に延在し、前記第二の方向において、少なくとも前記一対の規制突部のいずれか一方と重なりを有する、請求項5に記載の電源コネクタ。
- 前記第一の区画部と前記第二の区画部は、前記第一の方向に沿って相隣り合って配置され、且つ、前記第二の方向において重なりを有する、請求項4乃至6のいずれかに記載の電源コネクタ。
- 前記第一の区画部は、少なくとも前記第二の方向において、前記第二の区画部より小さく設定されている、請求項7に記載の電源コネクタ。
- 前記接触部は平板状である、請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の電源コネクタ。
- 請求項1乃至9のいずれかに記載の前記電源コネクタ及び前記相手コネクタとから構成される電源コネクタ装置。
