Abstract
Description
ETFEフィルムは、建築用途へのこれらの適用性を制限する欠点を有している。例えば、ETFEフィルムの機械特性は、建築用途の構造エレメントのために使用することに一般的には役立たない。例えばETFEフィルムのヤング率は概ね低く(約800MPa〜約1500MPa)、降伏点(その後でETFEフィルムが弾性変形する)も比較的低い。
図1Aは、一実施態様における多層複合フィルム100の例を示す断面図である。多層複合フィルム100はETFE層104と、構造ポリマー層108と、接着剤112と、任意のIR線阻止層116とを含む。多層複合フィルム100は、図1Aでαによって示された厚みを有している。この厚みは次の範囲、すなわち、50〜1000μm、100〜1000μm、200〜1000μm、200〜800μm、200〜600μm、100μm超、200μm超、500μm超、3mm未満、2mm未満、1mm未満、800μm未満、500μm未満、400μm未満、又は300μm未満の範囲のうちのいずれかの範囲内にあってよい。
図2は、多層複合フィルム100と、構造ポリマー層108の、ETFE外層104とは反対側の表面に取り付けられた第2ETFE層204とを含むETFE多層複合フィルム200を示している。外部表面とは反対側の、建築構造物の内部の表面として配置されるように構成された第2ETFE層204は、図2でγによって示された厚みを有している。この厚みは次の範囲、すなわち、25マイクロメートル(μm)〜250μm、25μm〜100μm、25μm〜75μm、25μm〜50μm、50μm〜150μm、50μm〜100μm、75μm〜200μm、75μm〜100μm、100μm〜200μmの範囲のうちのいずれかの範囲内にあってよい。フルオロポリマー接着層112及び/又はフルオロポリマー接着剤/IR層124(図1Bにのみ示されている)と同じ寸法及び組成を有することができる第2フルオロポリマー接着層114が、第2ETFE層204と構造ポリマー層108との間に配置されていてよい。IR反射体又は吸収剤、及び他の粒子又は染料を、接着層112、114のいずれかの中に又はこれに隣接して配置することができる。これらの接着層は、対向するポリマーフィルムを接合するのに使用される。これらの層は上述されており、さらに説明する必要はない。
次の手順に従って、複合フィルムの例を調製した。フルオロポリマー系接着剤の溶液を、表1において上述した配合に従って調製した。調製済みのフルオロポリマー系接着剤溶液を、上記構造ポリマー層として機能する125□m厚のPET(UL94に基づくV0難燃等級)フィルムに、15g/m2のコーティング重量で適用した。フルオロポリマー系接着剤を担持するPETフィルム上に、25μm厚の第1ETFEフィルムを積層した。フルオロポリマー系接着剤を次いで、15g/m2のコーティング重量でPETフィルムの反対側に適用し、次いでこれに25μm厚の第2ETFEフィルムを積層した。
図5A〜5Cは、実施態様において、多層複合フィルムを互いに接合するために使用することができる種々の接合を示している。接合は、本開示の多層複合フィルムの個々のシートが互いに接合されてより大型の建築用パネルになるのを可能にする。例えば、(例えば支持ケーブル網から成る)外部支持体を必要とする前に例えば1×1m〜25×25m四方の建築用パネルを製造するように、個々のシートを互いに接合することができる。図5Aは重ね継ぎを示している。この重ね継ぎの場合、多層複合フィルム200の個々のシートがシール幅として図5Aに示された距離だけオーバーラップされている。個々のシートは、例えばシートを互いに溶着するヒートシール、又は接着テープ(例えばポリエステル系又はポリアミド系熱可塑性熱活性化接着テープ)、又は接着剤(例えば熱活性化接着剤)を用いて接合することができる。接着テープ又は接着剤は、多層複合フィルム200の個々のシートのオーバーラップ部分間に配置される。
開示の実施態様の前記説明は例示のために提供されたものであり、網羅的なものと意図されることはなく、又は開示されたそのままの形態に請求項を制限しようと意図されることもない。上記開示に照らして多くの変更及び変形が可能であることは、当業者には明らかである。
Claims (35)
- 多層複合フィルムであって、
第1主表面及び第2主表面を有するエチレンテトラフルオロエチレン(ETFE)外層であって、前記第1主表面は前記多層複合フィルムの外部表面として構成されており、前記第2主表面は前記第1主表面の反対側にある、エチレンテトラフルオロエチレン(ETFE)外層と、
前記ETFE外層の前記第2主表面に近接する構造ポリマー層と、
前記ETFE外層の前記第2主表面と前記構造ポリマー層の間に配置された第1フルオロポリマー接着層であって、前記ETFE外層と前記構造ポリマー層とを接着する、第1フルオロポリマー接着層と、
第1主表面及び第2主表面を有する第2ETFE層であって、前記第2ETFE層の前記第1主表面は前記構造ポリマー層に近接し、前記第2ETFE層の前記第2主表面は、前記ETFE外層の前記第1主表面とは反対側の内部表面として構成される、第2ETFE層と、
前記第2ETFE層の前記第1主表面と前記構造ポリマー層の間に配置された第2フルオロポリマー接着層であって、前記第2ETFE層と前記構造ポリマー層とを接着する、第2フルオロポリマー接着層と
を含む多層複合フィルム。 - さらに、UL94規格に従って試験したときにV0の難燃等級を有する、請求項1に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記構造ポリマー層、前記第1フルオロポリマー接着層、前記第2フルオロポリマー接着層、及び前記ETFE外層の少なくとも1つの中又は上に配置された赤外(IR)線阻止層をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記IR線阻止層が、前記構造ポリマー層及び前記ETFE外層のうち1つの上に配置された金属層を含み、前記金属層が700nm〜1000nmの放射波長について40%超の反射率を有し、400nm〜700nmの波長を有する可視光について50%超の透過率を有する、請求項3に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記金属層が、銅フィルム、銀フィルム、金フィルム、ニッケルフィルム、金属酸化物フィルム、アルミニウムフィルム、及びこれらの組み合わせのうち1つである、請求項4に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記金属層が1nm〜500nmの厚みを有する、請求項4に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記IR線阻止層が、前記第1フルオロポリマー接着層及び前記第2フルオロポリマー接着層の少なくとも1つの中に配置された、二酸化チタンナノ粒子、銀粒子、金粒子、及びアルミニウムナノ粒子の少なくとも1つを含む、請求項3に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 少なくとも1000MPaのヤング率及び少なくとも146MPaの最大引張強度を有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 少なくとも40MPaの引張ひずみの下で降伏点を示す、請求項8に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記ETFE外層が25マイクロメートル〜125マイクロメートルの厚みを有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記第2ETFE層が25マイクロメートル〜125マイクロメートルの厚みを有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記構造ポリマー層がポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)層である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記構造ポリマー層が50マイクロメートル〜250マイクロメートルの厚みを有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記第1フルオロポリマー接着層及び前記第2フルオロポリマー接着層の少なくとも1つが、フルオロポリマー樹脂、紫外線吸収成分、及び架橋成分を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記フルオロポリマー樹脂が、前記第1フルオロポリマー接着層及び前記第2フルオロポリマー接着層の少なくとも1つの少なくとも40重量%である、請求項14に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記フルオロポリマー樹脂が、フルオロポリマー系ポリマーから本質的になる、請求項15に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記第1フルオロポリマー接着層及び前記第2フルオロポリマー接着層の少なくとも1つが、5マイクロメートル〜30マイクロメートルの厚みを有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- コード縁部を形成するように構成された周縁部をさらに含み、接着剤及び接着テープの少なくとも1つを用いて前記第2ETFE層の前記第2主表面がそれ自体に接着されている、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記コード縁部によって画定された体積内部に配置された剛直構造をさらに含む、請求項18に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- さらに、16%未満のヘーズ値を有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- さらに、2%〜14%のヘーズ値を示す、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 多層複合フィルムであって、
第1主表面及び第2主表面を有するフッ素化ポリマー外層であって、前記第1主表面は前記多層複合フィルムの外部表面として構成され、前記第2主表面は前記第1主表面の反対側にある、フッ素化ポリマー外層と、
前記フッ素化ポリマー外層の前記第2主表面に近接した非フッ素化ポリマー層と、
前記フッ素化ポリマー外層と前記非フッ素化ポリマー層の間に配置された第1フルオロポリマー接着層であって、前記フッ素化ポリマー外層と前記非フッ素化ポリマー層とを接着する、第1フルオロポリマー接着層と
を含み、前記多層複合フィルムの一部が一体型チューブを画定し、前記一体型チューブが、前記多層複合フィルムの上にめくられて前記多層複合フィルムに恒久的に接着された、前記多層複合フィルムの周縁部を含む、多層複合フィルム。 - 前記一体型チューブがコード縁部を形成する、請求項22に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記多層複合フィルムの第2シートに接合された前記多層複合フィルムの第1シートをさらに含む、請求項22に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 重ね継ぎ、重ね継ぎとストリップ、及び突き合わせ継ぎの少なくとも1つを用いて、前記第1シートが前記第2シートに接合されている、請求項24に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 接着テープ、接着剤、及びヒートシールの少なくとも1つによって、前記第1シートが前記第2シートに接合されている、請求項24又は25のいずれかに記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記非フッ素化ポリマー層がPETを含む、請求項22〜24のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- IR反射層又はIR吸収剤をさらに含む、請求項27に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記フッ素化ポリマー外層がETFE層である、請求項22〜24のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記フッ素化ポリマー外層がポリフッ化ビニル層である、請求項22〜24のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記フッ素化ポリマー外層がエチレンクロロトリフルオロエチレン層である、請求項22〜24のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記フッ素化ポリマー外層がポリフッ化ビニリデン層である、請求項22〜24のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記フッ素化ポリマー外層がポリクロロトリフルオロエチレン層である、請求項22〜24のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 前記フッ素化ポリマー外層がポリフルオロエチレンプロピレン層である、請求項22〜24のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルム。
- 請求項1〜34のいずれか一項に記載の多層複合フィルムを含む建築構造物。
