- ベースとレンズとを含むモジュール式眼内レンズを挿入する方法であって、
a.インジェクタのバレルであって、内部に少なくとも1つのプランジャが配置された少なくとも1つの内部ルーメンを有する前記バレル内に前記ベースと前記レンズとを装填することと、
b.前記バレルの遠位端を眼の中に配置することと、
c.前記ベースと前記レンズとを眼の中に配置するために前記バレル内の前記少なくとも1つのプランジャを前進させることと、
d.眼の中で前記ベースと前記レンズとを組み付けることと
を備えている方法。 - 前記ベースと前記レンズとを前記バレル内に装填することは、前記ベースが前記レンズの遠位側に配置されるように前記ベースと前記レンズとを前記バレル内に配置することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。

- ベースとレンズとを含むモジュール式眼内レンズを挿入する方法であって、
a.インジェクタのバレルであって、内部にプランジャが配置された単一の内部ルーメンを有する前記バレル内に、前記ベースをサイド装填することと、
b.前記バレルの遠位端を眼の中に配置することと、
c.前記ベースを遠位側に押圧して前記バレルの遠位端から眼の中に配置するために前記バレル内の前記プランジャを前進させることと、
d.前記インナプランジャを退避させることと、
e.前記バレル内に前記レンズをサイド装填することと、
f.前記レンズを遠位側に押圧して前記バレルの遠位端から眼の中に配置するために前記バレル内の前記プランジャを前進させることと、
g.眼の中で前記ベースと前記レンズとを組み付けることと
を備えている方法。 - 前記ベースと前記レンズとは、それぞれ第1のサイド装填カートリッジと第2のサイド装填カートリッジとを用いて配置される請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記ベースは、前記第1のサイド装填カートリッジを前記バレル内に押し込むことにより前記バレル内に配置され、前記レンズは、前記ベースが遠位側に進行し、前記プランジャが退避した後に前記第2のサイド装填カートリッジを前記バレル内に押し込むことにより前記バレル内に配置される請求項17に記載の方法。
- a.半径方向外側に延びる2つのハプティックを有し、かつ中央孔、内周縁、および前記内周縁周りに径方向内方に開口する溝を有する環状のベースと、
b.径方向外方に延びる第1のタブおよび第2のタブを有する光学本体を有するレンズであって、前記第1のタブおよび第2のタブが前記ベースの溝内に配置されることによって前記ベースと前記レンズとが組み付けられ、前記第1のタブが可変スプリングを備え、前記第2のタブが非可変延長部を備え、前記第1のタブの径方向の圧縮が前記レンズの前記ベースへの組み付けを容易にする前記レンズと、
を備え、
c.専ら前記レンズの前記光学本体によって眼の光学的矯正を提供する
眼内レンズシステム。 - 前記ベースは本体を有し、前記中央孔は、前記内周縁を有する連続的に環状なリングを形成するように、前記本体を前後方向に貫通し、前記径方向内方に開口する溝は、前記内周縁の全体にわたって連続的に延び、前記径方向内方に開口する溝は、前方に対向する後壁と、径方向内方に対向する側壁と、後方に対向する前壁とによって画定され、前記ベースは、水晶体嚢内に嵌合するように構成されている請求項19に記載の眼内レンズシステム。
- 前記第1のタブは、それぞれの一端が前記光学本体に固定され、他端が自由端である一対の可変の片持ち状スプリングを備えている請求項19に記載の眼内レンズシステム。
- 前記ベースと前記レンズとが組み付けられた場合に、前記片持ち状スプリングの各自由端は、互いに離反する方向に延びる請求項21に記載の眼内レンズシステム。
- 前記片持ち状スプリングの各自由端は、互いに対向方向に延びる請求項21に記載の眼内レンズシステム。
- 前記片持ち状スプリングの各自由端は、前記径方向内方に開口する溝を取り囲む径方向内方に対向する側壁に接触する請求項21に記載の眼内レンズシステム。
- 前記第2のタブは、前記径方向内方に対向する側壁に接触する請求項24に記載の眼内レンズシステム。
- 前記片持ち状スプリングの各自由端は、前記径方向内方に対向する側壁の第1の部分に接触し、前記第2のタブは、前記径方向内方に対向する側壁の第2の部分に接触し、前記径方向内方に対向する側壁の前記第1の部分は、前記径方向内方に対向する側壁の前記第2の部分に対し、直径方向に対向する請求項25に記載の眼内レンズシステム。
- 前記片持ち状スプリングと前記非可変延長部とは、前記径方向内方に開口する溝を取り囲む径方向内方に対向する側壁の3つの離間した位置に接触する請求項21に記載の眼内レンズシステム。
- 前記ベースに接続された1つ以上の薬品担体をさらに備えている請求項27に記載の眼内レンズシステム。
- 前記ベースに接続された1つ以上のセンサをさらに備えている請求項27に記載の眼内レンズシステム。
- 前記第1のタブの径方向への圧縮が前記ベースに対する前記レンズの組み付けに要請される請求項19に記載の眼内レンズシステム。
