a)頭端部分と、足端部分と、前記頭端部分と前記足端部分の略中央に配置された継手とを有し、前記頭端部分及び前記足端部分は前記継手にて回動可能に装着され、前記頭端部分及び前記足端部分は、第一の平面内にて整合可能である細長い患者支持構造体と、
b)対向して隔てられた第一及び第二の端部支持体であって、前記第一の支持体は、前記頭端部付近に配置され、前記第二の支持体は前記足端部付近に配置され、前記患者支持構造体が前記第一及び第二の端部支持体の間を伸び且つ前記支持体により床に対して隔たった関係に保持される第一及び第二の端部支持体と、
c)前記継手にて前記患者支持構造体と協働する少なくとも1つの接続構造体であって、前記頭端部分及び前記足端部分を前記第一の平面内にて且つ前記第一の平面の両側部にて互いに対して複数の角度の向きに選択的に動かし且つ係止する接続構造体とを備える、患者を支持する装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置において、前記患者支持構造体は、前記第一の支持体と前記第二の支持体との間にて懸架される、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置において、前記第一及び第二の端部支持体の一方は、前記頭端部分又は前記足端部分の一方と片持ち式の関係にある、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置において、前記接続構造体は、ケーブルを備える、装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置において、前記接続構造体は、更にヒンジ構造体を備える、装置。
- 請求項5に記載の装置において、前記接続構造体は、ケーブルを備え、且つ前記ケーブルを受け入れる溝を有する、装置。

b)前記第一及び第二の端部支持体に接続され且つ前記第一及び第二の端部支持体の間を実質的に架橋する患者支持構造体であって、第一の部分と、第二の部分とを有し、前記第一及び第二の部分は、前記支持構造体の長手方向軸線に沿って第一の実質的に平面状の向きにて選択的に係止可能であり、前記第一及び第二の部分は、互いに対して複数の角度にて配置可能で且つ係止可能であり、前記部分の各々は、前記第一の平面状の向きの両側部の位置まで可動である、患者を支持する装置。 - 請求項16に記載の装置において、前記第一及び第二の部分は、ヒンジにて装着される、装置。
