Abstract
【解決手段】光接続部品11は、一又は複数の光ファイバ13と、一端15a、他端15b、及び一端15aから他端15bへの方向に延在する孔15gを有しており磁性体を備えるガイド部材15と、一端面17a、他端面17b、光ファイバ13を支持する第1支持部17c、及びガイド部材15を支持する第2支持部17dを含むホルダ17と、を備える。第2支持部17dは、一端面17aから他端面17bへの方向に他端面17bから延在し、ガイド部材15の他端15bは、ホルダ17の他端面17bのところに位置する。

磁性金属筒用の2つのV溝の頂部の間の長さ:4.6mm。
光ファイバのためのV溝の位置及びガイド部材用のV溝の位置の精度は、所望の位置に対して−1.0μm〜+1.0μmの範囲にあることが良い。また、磁性金属筒の内径及び外形が精密に制御されている。既に説明したように、このような磁性金属筒は、例えば電鋳法を用いて作製されることができる。
Claims (9)
- 光通信装置を作製する方法であって、
一又は複数の光ファイバ、孔を有する磁性体を備えるガイド部材、並びに前記ガイド部材及び前記光ファイバを支持するホルダを含むスタブデバイスと、一又は複数の光導波路構造及びガイド孔を有する光コネクタと、軸に沿って延在する磁性体を備える整列部材とを含む仮組立物を準備する工程と、
前記仮組立物に光学的に結合されるべき光学デバイスを準備する工程と、
磁石装置を用いて前記仮組立物の前記整列部材に磁力を及ぼす工程と、
前記磁力を及ぼした後に、前記仮組立物を前記光学デバイス上において移動するアクティブ光調芯によって、前記スタブデバイス及び前記光学デバイスの一方を他方に光学的な位置決めを行う工程と、
前記位置決めの後に、前記光コネクタ及び前記整列部材を前記スタブデバイスから離す工程と、
を備え、
前記仮組立物では、前記整列部材が前記スタブデバイスの前記孔及び前記光コネクタの前記ガイド孔内に位置して、前記スタブデバイス及び前記光コネクタは前記整列部材により整列されており、
前記スタブデバイスは、一端面及び他端面を含み、前記一端面は前記他端面の反対側に位置し、
前記整列部材に磁力を及ぼす前記工程では、前記スタブデバイスの前記他端面が前記光コネクタに光学的に結合され、
前記磁石装置は、永久磁石又は電磁石の少なくともいずれかを備える、光通信装置を作製する方法。 - 前記ガイド部材の一端は、前記スタブデバイスの前記他端面のところに位置し、
前記仮組立物を準備する前記工程において、前記整列部材の先端は、前記ガイド部材の前記孔内において、前記スタブデバイスの前記一端面から離れている、請求項1に記載された、光通信装置を作製する方法。 - 前記光コネクタは、前記ガイド孔を提供する貫通孔を有する磁性部材を含み、
前記スタブデバイスの前記孔は、前記他端面から延在する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載された光通信装置を作製する方法。 - 前記ホルダは、前記光ファイバを支持する第1支持部、及び前記一端面から前記他端面への方向に延在し前記ガイド部材を支持する第2支持部を含み、
前記ガイド部材の前記孔は、前記第1支持部の途中で終端する、請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載された光通信装置を作製する方法。 - 光接続部品であって、
一又は複数の光ファイバと、
一端、他端、及び前記一端から前記他端への方向に延在する孔を有し磁性体を備えるガイド部材と、
一端面、他端面、前記光ファイバを支持する第1支持部、及び前記ガイド部材を支持する第2支持部を含むホルダと、
を備え、
前記第2支持部は、前記一端面から前記他端面への方向に前記他端面から延在し、前記ガイド部材の前記他端は、前記ホルダの前記他端面のところに位置する、光接続部品。 - 前記光接続部品は、ピグテール型光コネクタを備える、請求項5に記載された光接続部品。
- 前記光接続部品は、スタブデバイスを備える、請求項5に記載された光接続部品。
- 前記ガイド部材は、前記ガイド部材の前記一端から前記他端までのいずれかの位置において前記孔に設けられたストッパを備える、請求項5〜請求項7のいずれか一項に記載された光接続部品。
- 光通信装置であって、
光結合素子、及び該光結合素子に光学的に結合された光素子をモノリシックに集積したシリコンフォトニクス半導体素子と、
前記シリコンフォトニクス半導体素子の前記光結合素子に光学的に結合されており、請求項5〜請求項8のいずれか一項に記載された光接続部品と、
前記光接続部品を前記シリコンフォトニクス半導体素子に固定する接着部材と、
を備え、
前記光接続部品はスタブデバイスを含む、光通信装置。
