Abstract
【解決手段】正浸透膜モジュール3中の半透膜の引き抜き側に、引き抜き溶質を含み第2の浸透圧を有する引き抜き溶液流18を供給し、水を含み第1の浸透圧を有する供給溶液流1を正浸透膜モジュール3中の半透膜の引き抜き側へ通過させ、得られた希釈引き抜き溶液流5を加熱し、凝集させ、冷却することで、冷却単相水リッチ流を生成し、冷却単相水リッチ流を精製して、精製水製品流を生成する、水を浄化するためのシステム。

Description
本願は、「REGENERATION OF RETROGRADE SOLUBLE SOLUTES FOR FORWARD OSMOSIS WATER TREATMENT」を発明の名称とする2011年4月25日付出願のアメリカ合衆国仮出願第61/517,687号、および、「RETROGRADE SOLUBLE SOLUTE FOR FORWARD OSMOSIS WATER TREATMENT」を発明の名称とする2011年7月15日付出願のアメリカ合衆国仮出願第61/572,394号に基づく優先権を主張しており、両仮出願の全ての内容は全ての目的のために、参照により本明細書に取り込まれる。
プロセスにおける回収ステップの動作温度を最も低くし、結果として生じるエネルギー損失を最小にするためには、低い温度範囲(例えば、40℃により近い範囲)において強い溶解度依存を有する例示の引き抜き溶質が好ましい。

Claims (10)
- 水を浄化するためのシステムであって、
供給溶液源と、
引き抜き溶液源と、
第1の浸透圧を有する供給溶液流を受けるための供給側と、液体の引き抜き溶質を含み第2の浸透圧を有する液体の引き抜き溶液流を受けるための引き抜き側とを有する半透膜であって、水を前記供給溶液流から前記引き抜き側に通過させて希釈引き抜き溶液流を生成する半透膜を有する正浸透モジュールと、
前記希釈引き抜き溶液流を加熱して相分離を生じさせ、二相流出流を生じる第1の熱交換器ネットワークと、
前記希釈引き抜き溶液流中の前記引き抜き溶質を凝集させて、凝集流出流を生成するコアレッサーと、
凝集した前記引き抜き溶質を前記凝集流出流から分離して、水と残存する前記引き抜き溶質を含む水リッチ流と、凝集した前記引き抜き溶質と水を含む溶質リッチ流を生成する重力相分離器と、を備えるシステム。 - 前記水リッチ流を冷却して冷却単相水リッチ流を生成する第2の熱交換器ネットワークと、
残存する前記引き抜き溶質を前記冷却単相水リッチ流から分離して、残存引き抜き溶質流と精製水製品流を生成する逆浸透モジュールと、を更に備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記逆浸透モジュールの下流に設けられるミキサーを更に備え、
前記ミキサーは前記溶質リッチ流と、前記第2の熱交換器ネットワークから流出する冷却溶質リッチ流とを混合して混合溶質リッチ流を生成する、請求項2に記載のシステム。 - 前記希釈引き抜き溶液流中の溶質の濃度は、前記引き抜き溶液流または前記混合溶質リッチ流の流量により制御される、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の熱交換器ネットワークは、一つの熱交換器、または、直列または並列に接続される複数の熱交換器を有し、前記希釈引き抜き溶液の温度を上昇させる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記コアレッサーは、前記引き抜き溶質を凝集させるための疎水性凝集エレメントを有する上部セクションと、水を集合させるための親水性凝集エレメントを有する下部セクションを有する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記コアレッサーと前記重力相分離器は、外部熱源によって動作温度まで加熱される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記コアレッサーと前記重力相分離器は単一の装置の内部に配置される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 水を浄化するための装置であって、
第1の浸透圧を有する供給溶液流を受けるための供給側と、引き抜き溶質を含み第2の浸透圧を有する引き抜き溶液流を受けるための引き抜き側と、を有する半透膜であって、水を前記供給溶液流から前記引き抜き側に通過させて、希釈引き抜き溶液流を生成する半透膜と、
前記希釈引き抜き溶液流を加熱する熱交換器ネットワークと、
前記希釈引き抜き溶液流中の前記引き抜き溶質が凝集して凝集流出流を生じる合体領域と、
凝集した前記引き抜き溶質を前記凝集流出流から分離して、水と残存する前記引き抜き溶質を含む水リッチ流と、凝集した前記引き抜き溶質と水を含む溶質リッチ流を生成する重力相分離器と、を備え、
前記重力相分離器は、2つまたはそれ以上の非混和性の液体または溶液を分離する、装置。 - 前記合体領域は、前記熱交換器ネットワーク内の表面領域と、該熱交換器ネットワークと前記重力相分離器の間の配管内の表面領域を含む、請求項9に記載の装置。
