Abstract
Description
1つまたは複数のガス状反応物質の流れを反応器に通す工程と、
反応器の反応領域内で1つまたは複数のガス状反応物質を反応させて、生成物粒子を形成する工程と、
生成物粒子を凝集物へと凝集させる工程と、
凝集物に力を加えて、それを反応領域外に連続的に移動させる工程と
を含む凝集物の製造方法を提供する。
1.ポリマー充填剤
この使用は、繊維の機械的、電気的および熱的特性を利用する。繊維はプレプレグに織られ得る。スピンコーティングを用いて、複雑な形状を有する物体を形成し得る。

反応器の反応領域内で炭素源を反応させてカーボンナノチューブを生成する工程と、
カーボンナノチューブに力を加えることによりカーボンナノチューブを凝集物へと凝集させる工程と
を含むカーボンナノチューブ凝集物の製造方法を提供する。
本発明の好ましい一実施形態では、該方法は、図1に示した装置で実行する。該装置は、垂直配列円筒形石英反応器12を取り囲む垂直配列円筒形炉10より成る。代替的反応器は、円錐形であり得る。反応器12は、その上端に注入口14を、その下端に放出口16を有する。注入口14近くの反応器12内に配置されるのは、金属ワイヤの環の形態のナノチューブキャッチャ18である。代替的実施形態では、ナノチューブキャッチャ18は、ガラスワイヤまたは磁性材料の環であり得る。放出口16近くの反応器12内に配置されるのは、水平に延びるねじ20、適切には長さ300mmのステンレススチールねじである。代替的実施形態では、ねじは垂直に、または他の方向に延び得る。ねじ20はモーター22に連結され、内部ねじ込み棒21を保有する。
上記と同様の方法を、図1の装置の変形型を用いて実行した。
実施例1の反応条件ならびに図1の装置の変形型を用いて、多層カーボンナノチューブを生成した。
図1の装置のさらなる変形型を用いて、実施例2を繰り返した。この変形を図8に示す。ねじ20および棒21を、反応軸に対して約25°の角度のスピンドル20’に取り換えて、60rpmでその軸の周囲を回転させた。その他の数字で示した部分は、図1/実施例1と同じである。このスピンドルは反応器の熱領域(管の横断面積の約12%を覆う)に貫入して、エーロゲルを捕獲した後、それは冷却領域に到達し、そこでそれは壁に突き刺さり得る。
スピンドルを用いずに、実施例2を反復した。エーロゲルはガス流に伴って炉を下降し、これは、温度低下のために炉の下方部分で減速した(熱領域では6.5mm/秒、500℃点では3.5mm/秒)。エーロゲルが炉の冷却端に到達すると、それは炉壁に張り付いて、炉全体に極薄い膜を形成し、これは時間とともに厚くなった。
Claims (15)
- 1つまたは複数のガス状反応物質の流れを反応器に通す工程と、
前記反応器の反応領域内で前記1つまたは複数のガス状反応物質を反応させて、生成物粒子を形成する工程と、
前記生成物粒子を凝集物へと凝集させる工程と、
前記凝集物に力を加えて、それを反応領域外に連続的に移動させる工程と
を含む凝集物の製造方法。 - 前記生成物粒子がエーロゲルである請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記エーロゲルがナノ寸法である請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記生成物粒子がカーボンナノチューブまたはカーボンナノ繊維を含み、かつ前記ガス状反応物質が、触媒の存在下で反応される炭素源である請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 触媒担体が存在する請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記炭素源が促進剤の存在下で反応される請求項4または5に記載の方法。
- 前記生成物粒子が化学的蒸着により生成される請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ガス状反応物質が、反応において直接的役割を担わないが非晶質炭素が副産物として生成された時にその非晶質炭素と反応するガスと混合され、それにより前記触媒上の反応部位を清浄に維持し、かつナノチューブの生成を可能にする請求項4〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記凝集物に力を加えて、それを反応領域外に連続的に移動させながら繊維にする工程を含む、繊維の製造のための請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記凝集物に力を加えて、それを反応領域外に連続的に移動させながらマットにする工程を含む、マットの製造のための請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記凝集物に力を加えて、それを反応領域外に連続的に移動させながらフィルムにする工程を含む、フィルムの製造のための請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記生成物粒子に加えられる力が機械的力である請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記生成物粒子に加えられる機械的力が加速ガス流により加えられる請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記生成物粒子に加えられる力が静電気力である請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
