Claims (15)
- 下記化学式1で表されるリチウム遷移金属酸化物の粒子表面にカルボキシメチルセルロース(Cellulose)誘導体が塗布されていることを特徴とする、二次電池用正極活物質。
LixMyO2 (1)
上記式において、
Mは、NiaMnbCoc(0≦a≦0.9、0≦b≦0.9、0≦c≦0.5、0.85≦a+b+c≦1.05)であり、
x+y=2であって、0.95≦x≦1.15である。 - 前記化学式1において、Ni、Mn及びCoの成分含量は、0.2≦a≦0.7、0<b≦0.5、0<c≦0.5の条件を満たすことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池用正極活物質。
- 前記Mは、Al、Mg、Fe、Ti、V、Zr、Sn及びZnからなる群から選ばれる一つ以上の元素で置換されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池用正極活物質。
- 前記カルボキシメチルセルロース誘導体は、下記化学式2で表される物質であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池用正極活物質:
R1、R2及びR3からなる群から選ばれた一つ以上はCH2CO2Xであり、残りはCH2CO2HまたはOHであり、ここで、Xは、アルカリ金属元素、アルカリ土金属元素、またはC1−C5アルキルであり、
nは、1以上の整数であって、前記誘導体の重量平均分子量(Mw)が500,000〜2,500,000となる条件を満たす範囲で決定される。 - 前記R1、R2及びR3がCH2CO2Xである置換度は、0.8〜1.2であることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の二次電池用正極活物質。
- 前記XはNaであることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の二次電池用正極活物質。
- 前記カルボキシメチルセルロース誘導体の酸度はpH6.8〜8.0であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池用正極活物質。
- 前記カルボキシメチルセルロース誘導体の塗布量は、正極活物質全体の重量を基準として0.1〜10重量%の範囲であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池用正極活物質。
- 請求項1ないし8のいずれかに記載の正極活物質、及びバインダーを含むことを特徴とする、二次電池用正極物質混合物。
- 前記バインダーは、水性乳化重合で合成されるゴム系バインダーであることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の二次電池用正極物質混合物。
- 前記バインダーは、アクリロニトリルゴム、ブタジエンゴム及びスチレン−ブチレンゴムからなる群から選ばれる1種であることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の二次電池用正極物質混合物。
- 前記バインダーは、正極物質混合物全体の重量を基準として、1〜20重量%含まれることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の二次電池用正極物質混合物。
- 前記正極物質混合物には、分散剤、導電剤、粘度調節剤、充填剤、カップリング剤及び接着促進剤からなる群から選ばれる一つ以上の物質がさらに含まれていることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の正極物質混合物。
- 請求項9に記載の正極物質混合物が集電体上に塗布されていることを特徴とする、二次電池用正極。
- 請求項14に記載の正極を含むことを特徴とする、リチウム二次電池。
