Abstract
Description
前記スルホラン化合物の含量が、前記リチウム塩及び有機溶媒の総100重量部に対して0.1ないし5重量部であるリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を提供する。
R1、R2、R3、R4、R5、R6、R7、R8は相互独立して、水素、ハロゲン、ビニル基、アリル基、フェニル基、炭素数1ないし10のアルキル基、炭素数1ないし10のアルコキシ基である。
前記スルホラン化合物の含量は、前記リチウム塩及び有機溶媒の総100重量部に対して0.1ないし5重量部である。
R1、R2、R3、R4、R5、R6、R7、R8は相互独立して、水素、ハロゲン、ビニル基、アリル基、フェニル基、炭素数1ないし10のアルキル基、炭素数1ないし10のアルコキシ基である。望ましくは、R1、R2、R3、R4、R5、R6、R7、R8のうち少なくとも一つは炭素数1ないし10のアルキル基である。
<非水電解液の製造>
エチレンカーボネート:エチルメチルカーボネート:ジメチルカーボネート=3:4:3(体積比)の組成を有する有機溶媒と、LiPF6のリチウム塩とを含む1MのLiPF6溶液を製造し、前記溶液100重量部に対してビニレンカーボネート1重量部及び3‐メチルスルホラン0.5重量部を更に添加した。
正極活物質としてLiMn2O4とLiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2(50:50重量比)との混合物、バインダーとしてポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVdF)、導電材としてカーボンブラックを91.5:4.4:4.1の重量比で混合した後、N‐メチル‐2‐ピロリドンに分散させて正極スラリーを製造し、前記スラリーをアルミニウム集電体にコーティングした後、乾燥及び圧延して正極を製造した。
前記溶液100重量部に対し、3‐メチルスルホランを2重量部で添加したことを除き、実施例1と同様の方法で非水電解液及び電池を製造した。
前記溶液100重量部に対し、3‐メチルスルホランを3.5重量部で添加したことを除き、実施例1と同様の方法で非水電解液及び電池を製造した。
前記溶液100重量部に対し、3‐メチルスルホランを5重量部で添加したことを除き、実施例1と同様の方法で非水電解液及び電池を製造した。
3‐メチルスルホランの代わりにプロパンスルトンを添加したことを除き、実施例1と同様の方法で非水電解液及び電池を製造した。
前記溶液100重量部に対し、3‐メチルスルホランを6重量部で添加したことを除き、実施例1と同様の方法で非水電解液及び電池を製造した。
前記溶液100重量部に対し、3‐メチルスルホランを9重量部で添加したことを除き、実施例1と同様の方法で非水電解液及び電池を製造した。
前記溶液100重量部に対し、3‐メチルスルホランを12重量部で添加したことを除き、実施例1と同様の方法で非水電解液及び電池を製造した。
実施例1ないし実施例4、及び比較例1ないし比較例4で製造された電池を、−30℃で10秒間、0.5Cで充電及び放電する場合に発生する電圧差を利用して出力を計算し、その結果を表1及び図1に示した。試験はSOC(充電状態、State Of Charge)が100%、80%、60%、及び40%のときそれぞれ行われた。
実施例1ないし実施例4、及び比較例1ないし比較例4で製造された電池を45℃で、定電流/定電圧条件で4.2V/38mAまで1Cで充電した後、 定電流条件下で3.03Vまで2Cで放電し、放電容量を測定してその結果を図2に示した。
実施例1ないし実施例4、及び比較例1ないし比較例4で製造された電池を高温(60℃)で保管する時間毎の、常温(23℃)下の容量及び出力を測定し、その結果をそれぞれ図3及び図4に示した。このとき、評価対象電池を60℃のオーブンで保管した後、性能を評価するときのみに取り出して23℃の条件で測定し、再び60℃のオーブンで高温保存する方式で行った。
23℃で、定電流/定電圧条件下で4.15V/38mAまで1Cで充電した後、定電流条件で3.03Vまで1Cで放電した後、放電容量を測定し、維持率の結果を図3に示した。
5Cで10秒間、充電及び放電する場合に発生する電圧差を利用してSOCが50%のときの出力を計算し、その維持率を図4に示した。
Claims (10)
- 前記スルホラン化合物が、スルホラン、2‐フルオロスルホラン、3‐フルオロスルホラン、2,3‐ジフルオロスルホラン、3‐ビニルスルホラン、3‐アリルスルホラン、2‐メチルスルホラン、3‐メチルスルホラン、3‐エチルスルホラン、2,3‐ジメチルスルホラン、3‐メトキシスルホラン、及び3‐エトキシスルホランからなる群より選択される何れか一種又はこれらの二種以上の混合物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記リチウム塩の陰イオンが、F−、Cl−、Br−、I−、NO3 −、N(CN)2 −、BF4 −、ClO4 −、PF6 −、(CF3)2PF4 −、(CF3)3PF3 −、(CF3)4PF2 −、(CF3)5PF−、(CF3)6P−、CF3SO3 −、CF3CF2SO3 −、(CF3SO2)2N−、(FSO2)2N−、CF3CF2(CF3)2CO−、(CF3SO2)2CH−、(SF5)3C−、(CF3SO2)3C−、CF3(CF2)7SO3 −、CF3CO2 −、CH3CO2 −、SCN−、及び(CF3CF2SO2)2N−からなる群より選択される何れか一種であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記有機溶媒が、エーテル、エステル、アミド、線状カーボネート、及び環状カーボネートからなる群より選択されるいずれか一つまたはこれらのうち2種以上の混合物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記環状カーボネートが、エチレンカーボネート、プロピレンカーボネート、1,2‐ブチレンカーボネート、2,3‐ブチレンカーボネート、1,2‐ペンチレンカーボネート、2,3‐ペンチレンカーボネート、ビニレンカーボネート、及びこれらのハロゲン化物からなる群より選択される何れか一種又はこれらの二種以上の混合物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項4に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記線状カーボネートが、ジメチルカーボネート、ジエチルカーボネート、ジプロピルカーボネート、エチルメチルカーボネート、メチルプロピルカーボネート、及びエチルプロピルカーボネートからなる群より選択される何れか一種又はこれらの二種以上の混合物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項4に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記エーテルが、ジメチルエーテル、ジエチルエーテル、ジプロピルエーテル、メチルエチルエーテル、メチルプロピルエーテル、及びエチルプロピルエーテルからなる群より選択される何れか一種又はこれらの二種以上の混合物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項4〜6の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記エステルが、メチルアセテート、エチルアセテート、プロピルアセテート、メチルプロピオネート、エチルプロピオネート、γ‐ブチロラクトン、γ‐バレロラクトン、γ‐カプロラクトン、σ‐バレロラクトン、及びε‐カプロラクトンからなる群より選択される何れか一種又はこれらの二種以上の混合物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項4〜7の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記非水電解液が、ビニレンカーボネート、ビニルエチレンカーボネート、ビニレンカーボネート、フルオロエチレンカーボネート、ビニルエチレンカーボネート、環状スルファイト、飽和スルトン、不飽和スルトン、非環状スルホンからなる群より選択される何れか一種又はこれらの二種以上の混合物を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜8の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- リチウム二次電池であって、
負極と、正極と、及び非水電解液とを備えてなり、
前記非水電解液が請求項1〜9の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液であることを特徴とする、リチウム二次電池。
