Description
[0035]実施例1.自己研磨性シリルアクリレートポリマーおよび銅ピリチオンを含有する組成物の調製
[0036]A.シリルアクリレートコポリマーの調製
[0037]添加漏斗、還流冷却器、スターラーおよび温度計を備える1リットルの反応フラスコに、368.0グラムのキシレンを加えた。反応混合物を、窒素ブランケット下で低速で攪拌しながら、95±5℃に上昇させた。
[0042]1/2パイントの混合容器に、A節で調製したシリルアクリレートポリマー溶液を93.0グラム加えた。該混合容器を、1’ブレードを備える高速カウルズ(cowles)型分散機の下に置いた。ミキサーを1000rpmまで回転させた。該混合容器に、25.9グラムの固形分60%の亜鉛ピリチオン湿潤ケークと26.3グラムのメトキシプロパノールを加えた。ミキサーの速度を2000rpmに上昇させた。該混合容器に1.45グラムの水酸化銅(銅58%)を加えた後、10分間混合し、続いてさらに3バッチの水酸化銅(各バッチ1.45グラム)を加えた。反応混合物が暗緑色になったら、2.50グラムのNH4OH(29.6%)を混合容器に加え、攪拌を30分間継続して、シリルアクリレートポリマーおよび銅ピリチオンを含有する組成物を得た。
[0044]実施例2:実施例1から形成した銅ピリチオンの顕微鏡像を図1に示した。下部右側の目盛りは0〜50ミクロンである。SEMは、本発明の銅ピリチオン粒子が平坦でとがった針状であることを示している。
[0047]実施例3:11%銅ピリチオンを、シリルアクリレートおよびキシレンの溶液中で亜鉛ピリチオン粉末および水酸化銅からその場で調製した。2週間後、該試料の沈降を観察した。
[0052]従来法でミル粉砕された銅ピリチオン(比較例C)およびその場で生じた銅ピリチオン(実施例4)の両方の粒径を、レーザー光散乱により測定した。測定は、弱い凝集を壊すためにさまざまな超音波前処理を行って実施した。超音波処理時間は、0、30および120秒であった。結果を表1に示す。データは、その場で生じた粒子がはるかに大きく、概して二峰性分布で表されることを示している。
[0056]より長い銅ピリチオン粒子は、より短く、より小さな、従来法でミル粉砕された銅ピリチオン粒子と比較して、ペイントフィルムをより良好に強化すると予想される。これを決定するために、同じシリルアクリレートポリマーに、従来の銅ピリチオンを加えるか、本発明によりその場で形成した銅ピリチオンを加えたものから、防汚ペイントを配合した。
Claims (19)
- 銅ピリチオンの粒子を含有する組成物であって、銅ピリチオン粒子の20重量%超〜90重量%が、粒径分布分析器を用いたレーザー光散乱により決定して10ミクロンを超える粒径を有し、銅ピリチオンの粒子が平坦でとがった針状形状をしている、前記組成物。
- 粒子の25重量%〜70重量%が10ミクロンを超える粒径を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 粒子の30重量%〜60重量%が10ミクロンを超える粒径を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- さらに、シリルアクリレート、アクリル酸金属、ポリ塩化ビニル、塩化ビニルのコポリマー、酢酸ビニル、酢酸ビニルのコポリマー、アクリルコポリマー、エポキシ、アルキド、ポリビニルアルコール、セルロースエーテル、酸官能性アクリレート、キトサン、ポリビニルエーテル、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択されるポリマーか、ロジン、ロジン誘導体、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される非ポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- ポリマーがシリルアクリレートである、請求項4に記載の組成物。
- シリルアクリレートが約2000〜約6000の数平均分子量を有する、請求項5に記載の組成物。
- さらに水酸化亜鉛を含む、請求項6に記載の組成物。
- 銅ピリチオン粒子およびシリルアクリレートポリマーを含む防汚コーティング組成物であって、銅ピリチオン粒子の20重量%〜90重量%が、粒径分布分析器を用いたレーザー光散乱により決定して10ミクロンを超えるサイズを有し、銅ピリチオン粒子が平坦でとがった針状形状をしている、前記防汚コーティング組成物。
- さらに水溶性または水難溶性樹脂を含む請求項8に記載の防汚コーティング組成物であって、前記樹脂が、コーティング組成物の全重量に基づき約4〜約15%の量で存在する、前記防汚コーティング組成物。
- 樹脂が、ロジン、ポリビニルエーテル、キトサン、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される、請求項9に記載の防汚コーティング組成物。
- さらに、金属銅、酸化銅、チオシアン酸銅、酸化亜鉛、ホウ酸亜鉛、メタホウ酸バリウム、トリフェニルホウ素ピリジン、トリフェニルホウ素オクチデシルアミン、トラロピリル、クロルフェナピル、トリルフルアニド、ジクロフルアニド、亜鉛ピリチオン、4,5−ジクロロ−2−n−オクチル−4−イソチアゾリン−3−オン、2−メチルチオ−4−tert−ブチルアミノ−6−シクロプロピアミノ−s−トリアジン、ジネブ、ジラム、ポリカルバメート、マンネブ、クロロタロニル、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される添加剤を含む、請求項8に記載の防汚組成物。
- さらに水酸化亜鉛を含む、請求項8に記載の防汚組成物。
- 非反応性ポリマーまたは非ポリマーバインダーの存在下で亜鉛ピリチオンを銅塩と反応させる段階を含む、銅ピリチオン粒子を含有する組成物の調製方法。
- 前記銅塩が、水酸化銅、炭酸銅、硝酸銅、硫酸銅、塩化銅、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記銅塩が水酸化銅である、請求項13に記載の方法。
- ポリマーがシリルアクリレートである、請求項13に記載の方法。
- ポリマーが、アクリル酸金属、ポリ塩化ビニル、塩化ビニルのコポリマー、酢酸ビニル、酢酸ビニルのコポリマー、アクリルコポリマー、エポキシ、アルキド、ポリビニルアルコール、セルロースエーテル、酸官能性アクリレート、キトサン、またはポリビニルエーテルである、請求項13に記載の方法。
