Description
その製造方法は、cBN切削工具の台金を、位置と姿勢の制御が可能な研削盤のチャックで厚み方向に挟みつけて保持し、この状態で研削盤の回転する砥石の端面に前記台金のコーナに設けられているcBN焼結体を押し付けてそのcBN焼結体に形成される逃げ面とすくい面を研削する。

Claims (5)
- 台金のコーナ部にcBN焼結体を取付け、そのcBN焼結体に切れ刃を備えさせるcBN切削工具の製造方法であって、
cBN切削工具の台金を、位置と姿勢の制御が可能な研削盤のチャックで厚み方向に挟みつけて保持し、この状態で研削盤の回転する砥石の端面に前記台金のコーナに設けられているcBN焼結体を押し付けてそのcBN焼結体に形成される逃げ面とすくい面を研削し、
その研削を実質的な研削対象が前記cBN焼結体となるように行い、
さらに、すくい面の研削ではcBN焼結体のすくい面を前記台金の上面から落ち込ませ、もしくは台金すくい面より飛び出したCBN焼結体のみを研削し、以上の作業を、前記チャックの姿勢と位置を調整することでチャックによる工具の保持状態を解かずに実施するcBN切削工具の製造方法。 - 前記逃げ面を研削した後に前記すくい面を研削する請求項1に記載のcBN切削工具の製造方法。
- 逃げ面とすくい面の研削を、逃げ面については、その逃げ面に工具厚み方向と垂直な研摩筋が形成され、すくい面については、工具のcBN焼結体を設けたコーナの2等分線に対して垂直に近い研摩筋が形成されるように行う請求項1又は2に記載のcBN切削工具の製造方法。
- 菱形を含む超硬合金製の多角形台金のコーナ部にcBN焼結体の小片を設け、そのcBN焼結体に切れ刃を形成したcBN切削工具であって、前記cBN焼結体の逃げ面とすくい面が研削加工されて前記逃げ面に対して工具厚み方向と垂直な研摩筋が、すくい面に対して工具のcBN焼結体を設けたコーナの2等分線に対して垂直に近い研摩筋がそれぞれ形成され、前記すくい面が前記台金の上面から落ち込んでそのすくい面と台金の上面
との間に段差が形成されているcBN切削工具。 - 切れ刃に沿ったネガランドを有し、前記ネガランドの傾斜角が15°以下の範囲にある請求項4に記載のcBN切削工具。
