Abstract

図22は、ハンドリム31に外部から力が加えられていない状態において、ホイールカバー393およびカバー383cが取り外されたハブ33を示している。図22において、スポーク34やタイヤ36等は省略している。図22の状態から乗員がハンドリム31を後方(図22において時計回り方向)に回転させた場合には、ハンドリム31の回転に伴って、ハンドリムベース部39が車軸32を中心として図22において時計回りに回転変位する(図23参照)。ハンドリムベース部39は、矢印Hの方向に回転変位する。このとき、図23に示すように、スプリング支持部392の支持端392aとスプリング保持面383fの端面383hとによってコイルスプリング40は圧縮させられる。すなわち、図12の状態から図14の状態へと変化する。この状態では、ハンドリム31の操作力に応じた角度変位(回転変位)が生じている。ここで、ハンドリムベース部39に固定されたピン394が、ホイールハブ383に設けられた円弧状の貫通孔383mの縁に接触するまで、ハンドリムベース部39はホイールハブ383に対して回転可能である。コイルスプリング40が圧縮している状態では、ハンドリム31を操作した乗員の力の一部は、ハンドリム31から接続パイプ37、ハンドリムベース部39およびコイルスプリング40を介してホイールハブ383に伝達される。
上記の実施形態に記載の車椅子1の車輪3に取り付けられたモータ381は、アキシャルギャップモータで薄型モータとなっているため、さまざまな形状のフレームに取り付けることができる。
(1)上記の実施形態の車椅子1では、モータとしてアキシャルギャップ式のモータを用いたが、本発明は、これに限らない。例えば、モータとしてラジアルギャップ式のモータを用いてもよい。

Claims (13)
- 車椅子に着脱可能な電動アシスト用車輪であって、
前記車椅子のフレームに支持される車軸と、
前記車軸に取り付けられたモータと、
前記車軸に取り付けられたホイールハブと、前記ホイールハブに対して相対変位可能に支持されるハンドリムベース部と、を有するハブと、
前記ホイールハブに対する前記ハンドリムベース部の回転変位を検出し、回転中心がモータの車軸中心に一致する回転変位検出機構と、
を備えた、
電動アシスト用車輪。 - 請求項1に記載の電動アシスト用車輪であって、
前記モータは、径方向における幅よりも前記車軸の軸方向における幅の方が小さく、
前記回転変位検出機構は、前記車軸の軸方向において、前記モータの幅よりも幅が小さい、
電動アシスト用車輪。 - 請求項1または2に記載の電動アシスト用車輪であって、
前記電動アシスト用車輪は、
前記モータを含むパワーユニットをさらに備え、
前記ホイールハブは、前記パワーユニットと相対回転可能であって、前記車軸に対して回転可能に支持され、
前記パワーユニットは、前記モータから伝達された動力を前記ホイールハブに伝達するギア列を含み、
前記ギア列は、前記車軸から径方向外側に向かって並べられた複数のギアを含み、少なくとも一部が前記回転変位検出機構と軸方向において重なり合っている、
電動アシスト用車輪。 - 請求項3に記載の電動アシスト用車輪であって、
前記回転変位検出機構は、
前記ホイールハブに取り付けられた磁石と、
前記ハンドリムベース部と連動する第1プレートと、
前記パワーユニットに取り付けられた素子と、
を含み、
前記第1プレートは、前記磁石と相対回転することで磁気を変化させ、
前記素子は、磁気の変化を検出する、
電動アシスト用車輪。 - 請求項4に記載の電動アシスト用車輪であって、
前記素子は、磁気を検出し、検出した磁気を電気信号に変換して出力する第1素子および第2素子を含み、
第2素子は、前記ハンドリムベース部と前記ホイールハブが相対回転する際に、前記第1素子が出力する電気信号の電圧の位相に対して、反転した位相の電圧を出力する位置に配置されている、
電動アシスト用車輪。 - 請求項5に記載の電動アシスト用車輪であって、
前記車椅子の側面視において、前記車軸に対して前記ギア列の前記複数のギアが配置されている方向を第1方向とし、前記第1方向の逆方向を第2方向とすると、
前記第1素子及び第2素子は、前記車椅子の側面視において、前記第1方向の前記車軸の中心よりも第2方向側に配置されている、
電動アシスト用車輪。 - 請求項5または6に記載の電動アシスト用車輪であって、
前記モータは、
前記車軸を中心とする円板を含むロータと、
前記車軸の軸方向において前記ロータから所定の間隔をもって配置され、前記車椅子の側面視において前記車軸を中心とする環状のステータとを含み、
前記ロータは、前記車軸の側面の一部を囲む円筒を備え、
前記第1素子及び前記第2素子は、前記円筒よりも径方向外側に配置されている、
電動アシスト用車輪。 - 請求項3から7のいずれか1項に記載の電動アシスト用車輪であって、
前記ギア列は、前記車軸の軸方向において、前記モータと前記ホイールハブとの間に配置されている、
電動アシスト用車輪。 - 前記回転変位検出機構は、被磁化部および前記被磁化部を保持する保持部を有するコア部材と、前記保持部に前記車軸の軸方向から対向しつつ前記車軸を中心とする回転方向に前記コア部材に対して相対的に変位自在な磁石と、前記磁石に対する前記回転方向への変位量に応じた強さで磁化される前記被磁化部が発する磁気を検出する検出素子と、前記被磁化部と前記磁石との間に磁気によって生じる引力に抗して前記コア部材と前記磁石とを前記車軸の軸方向へ離間させる離間手段とを有し、
前記コア部材および前記磁石のうち一方が前記ホイールハブに取り付けられるとともに他方が前記ハンドリムベース部に取り付けられている請求項1に記載の電動アシスト用車輪。 - 前記コア部材は、前記保持部から前記磁石を超えて前記車軸の軸方向に延びる爪部を有し、
前記離間手段は、前記車軸の軸方向において前記保持部の反対側から前記爪部に当接する押圧部材と、前記ホイールハブおよび前記ハンドリムベース部のうち前記コア部材が取り付けられている方に前記押圧部材を固定する固定部材とを有し、前記引力に抗して前記保持部が前記磁石から離間する方向へ前記押圧部材で前記爪部を押圧して、前記コア部材と前記磁石とを離間させる請求項9に記載の電動アシスト用車輪。 - 前記コア部材は、前記ホイールハブあるいは前記ハンドリムベース部に前記爪部で係合して取り付けられている請求項10に記載の電動アシスト用車輪。
- 前記コア部材の前記保持部は、非磁性体である請求項9ないし11のいずれか一項に記載の電動アシスト用車輪。
- 請求項1から12のいずれか1項に記載の電動アシスト用車輪を備えた車椅子。
