Claims (22)

  1. 複合材料構造体を備えた陸ベース構造体を含んで構成される装置であって、
    前記複合材料構造体は少なくとも、
    電気抵抗、損傷検知、引張強度、圧縮強度、せん断強度、曲げ強度、亀裂抵抗、電磁妨害遮蔽、落雷保護、熱伝導性、電気信号の伝達、及びレーダー吸収から選択される第1の機能性を、前記構造体に与える第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料と、
    電気抵抗、損傷検知、引張強度、圧縮強度、せん断強度、曲げ強度、亀裂抵抗、電磁妨害遮蔽、落雷保護、熱伝導性、電気信号の伝達、及びレーダー吸収から選択される第2の機能性を、前記構造体に与える第2のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料と、
    を含んで構成される装置。
  2. 前記複合材料構造体は、第3のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料を含んで構成される請求項1に記載の装置。
  3. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出繊維のカーボンナノチューブ担持量は、0%から2%までの間である請求項1に記載の装置。
  4. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料は、損傷を受けやすいように前記構造体上に配置され、前記第1の機能性は損傷検知である請求項3に記載の装置。
  5. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料は、張力を受けやすいように前記構造体上に配置され、前記第1の機能性は引張強度である請求項3に記載の装置。
  6. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料は、圧力を受けやすいように前記構造体上に配置され、前記第1の機能性は圧縮強度である請求項3に記載の装置。
  7. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出繊維のカーボンナノチューブ担持量は、2%から5%までの間である請求項1に記載の装置。
  8. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料は、せん断力を受けやすいように前記構造体上に配置され、前記第1の機能性はせん断強度である請求項7に記載の装置。
  9. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料は、亀裂が入りやすいように前記構造体上に配置され、前記第1の機能性は亀裂抵抗である請求項7に記載の装置。
  10. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出繊維のカーボンナノチューブ担持量は、5%から40%の間である請求項1に記載の装置。
  11. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料は、電磁妨害にさらされやすいように前記構造体上に配置され、前記第1の機能性は電磁妨害遮蔽である請求項10に記載の装置。
  12. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料は、落雷にさらされやすいように前記構造体上に配置され、前記第1の機能性は落雷保護である請求項10に記載の装置。
  13. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料は、熱伝導性を与えるように前記構造体上に配置され、前記第1の機能性は熱伝導性である請求項10に記載の装置。
  14. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料は、前記構造体上に電気回路と隣接して配置され、前記第1の機能性は電気信号の伝達である請求項10に記載の装置。
  15. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料のカーボンナノチューブ担持量は勾配を有する請求項1に記載の装置。
  16. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料は、レーダー吸収を与えるように前記構造体上に配置され、前記第1の機能性はレーダー波の吸収である請求項15に記載の装置。
  17. 複合材料構造体を備えた陸ベース構造体を提供することを含んで構成される方法であって、
    前記複合材料構造体は少なくとも、
    電気抵抗、損傷検知、引張強度、圧縮強度、せん断強度、曲げ強度、亀裂抵抗、電磁妨害遮蔽、落雷保護、熱伝導性、電気信号の伝達、及びレーダー吸収から選択される第1の機能性を、前記構造体に与える第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料と、
    電気抵抗、損傷検知、引張強度、圧縮強度、せん断強度、曲げ強度、亀裂抵抗、電磁妨害遮蔽、落雷保護、熱伝導性、電気信号の伝達、及びレーダー吸収から選択される第2の機能性を、前記構造体に与える第2のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料と、
    を含んで構成される方法。
  18. 前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料と前記第2のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料とは重複する請求項17に記載の方法。
  19. 前記第1の機能性を決定することと、
    前記第1の機能性に基づいて前記第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料の第1のカーボンナノチューブ担持量を選択することと、
    をさらに含んで構成される請求項17に記載の方法。
  20. 前記第2の機能性を決定することと、
    前記第2の機能性に基づいて前記第2のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料の第2のカーボンナノチューブ担持量を選択することと、
    をさらに含んで構成される請求項19に記載の方法。
  21. 前記陸ベース構造体は、ウィンドタービンブレードを含んで構成される請求項1に記載の装置。
  22. 前記ウィンドタービンブレードは、
    低レベルのカーボンナノチューブ担持量を含む第1のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料を含み、前記第1の機能性は引張強度及び剛性である外殻と、
    低〜中レベルのカーボンナノチューブ担持量を含む第2のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料を含み、前記第2の機能性は損傷検知を含むスキンと、
    せん断ウェブと前記外殻との間の結合部であって、中レベルのカーボンナノチューブ担持量を含む第3の前記カーボンナノチューブ浸出材料を含んで前記構造体に第3の機能性を与え、該第3の機能性はせん断強度を含む1以上の結合部と、
    高レベルのカーボンナノチューブ担持量を含む第4のカーボンナノチューブ浸出材料を含んで前記構造体に第4の機能性を与え、該第4の機能性は落雷保護を含む被膜と、
    を含んで構成される請求項21に記載の装置。
