Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の有機発光ダイオード表示装置は、別のトランジスタを備えることなく各トランジスタのターンオンタイミングを制御し、初期化する間に駆動トランジスタのソース電極が接続されるノードを、フローティング状態になるようにして、駆動トランジスタのゲート電極が接続されるノードを初期電圧のレベルに初期化する。その結果、応答特性の低下、輝度低下などの問題を改善し、駆動トランジスタの閾値電圧及び高電位側電圧端子のリップルを補償することを特徴とする。

Claims (11)
- 高電位側電圧端子及び第2ノードに接続される第1トランジスタと;
データ配線及び前記第2ノードに接続されるスイッチングトランジスタと;
駆動トランジスタのドレイン電極及び第1ノードに接続される第2トランジスタと;
前記駆動トランジスタのドレイン電極及び有機発光ダイオードの一方電極に接続される発光制御トランジスタと;
前記有機発光ダイオードの一方電極に接続され、前記有機発光ダイオードの一方電極にかかる電圧を減少させる第3トランジスタと;
前記高電位側電圧端子と前記第1ノードとの間に接続される第1キャパシタと
を備えることを特徴とする有機発光ダイオード表示装置。 - 前記第1トランジスタのゲート電極及び前記発光制御トランジスタのゲート電極は発光制御配線に接続され、前記第1トランジスタ及び前記発光制御トランジスタは前記発光制御配線を介して送信される発光制御信号によってターンオンし、
前記スイッチングトランジスタのゲート電極と前記第2トランジスタのゲート電極及び前記第3トランジスタのゲート電極はスキャン配線に接続され、前記スイッチングトランジスタと前記第2トランジスタ及び前記第3トランジスタは前記スキャン配線を介して送信されるスキャン信号によってターンオンすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機発光ダイオード表示装置。 - 前記第1トランジスタのゲート電極は初期化配線に接続されて前記初期化配線を介して送信される初期化信号によってターンオンし、
前記発光制御トランジスタのゲート電極は発光制御配線に接続されて前記発光制御配線を介して送信される発光制御信号によってターンオンし、
前記スイッチングトランジスタのゲート電極はスキャン配線に接続されて前記スキャン配線を介して送信されるスキャン信号によってターンオンし、
前記第2トランジスタのゲート電極及び前記第3トランジスタのゲート電極はセンシング配線に接続されて前記センシング配線を介して送信されるセンシング信号によってターンオンすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機発光ダイオード表示装置。 - 前記第1トランジスタのゲート電極は第n番目の発光制御配線に接続されて前記第n番目の発光制御配線を介して送信される第n番目の発光制御信号によってターンオンし、
前記発光制御トランジスタのゲート電極は第n+1番目の発光制御配線に接続されて前記第n+1番目の発光制御配線を介して送信される第n+1番目の発光制御信号によってターンオンし、
前記スイッチングトランジスタのゲート電極は第n+1番目のスキャン配線に接続されて前記第n+1番目のスキャン配線を介して送信される第n+1番目のスキャン信号によってターンオンし、
前記第2トランジスタのゲート電極及び前記第3トランジスタのゲート電極は第n番目のスキャン配線に接続されて前記第n番目のスキャン配線を介して送信される第n番目のスキャン信号によってターンオンすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機発光ダイオード表示装置。 - 前記第3トランジスタのドレイン電極は基準電圧を印加する基準電圧配線に接続されるか、または低電位側電圧を印加する低電位側電圧端子に接続されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の有機発光ダイオード表示装置。
- 前記第1ノードと前記第2トランジスタのゲート電極との間に接続される第2キャパシタを更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機発光ダイオード表示装置。
- スイッチングトランジスタと、駆動トランジスタと、発光制御トランジスタと、第1ないし第3トランジスタと、第1キャパシタ及び第2キャパシタと、有機発光ダイオードとを備える有機発光ダイオード表示装置の駆動方法において、
前記第2トランジスタ及び前記第3トランジスタと前記発光制御トランジスタがターンオンしている間に、前記駆動トランジスタのゲート電極が接続される第1ノードを初期化する段階と;
前記スイッチングトランジスタと前記第2トランジスタ及び前記第3トランジスタがターンオンしている間に、前記駆動トランジスタの閾値電圧をセンシングし、前記第1ノードにデータ電圧を印加する段階と;
前記発光制御トランジスタがターンオンしている間に、前記有機発光ダイオードが発光する段階と
を有することを特徴とする有機発光ダイオード表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1トランジスタ及び前記発光制御トランジスタは発光制御配線を介して送信される発光制御信号によってターンオンし、
前記スイッチングトランジスタと前記第2トランジスタ及び前記第3トランジスタはスキャン配線を介して送信されるスキャン信号によってターンオンすることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機発光ダイオード表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1トランジスタは初期化配線を介して送信される初期化信号によってターンオンし、前記発光制御トランジスタは発光制御配線に接続され、前記発光制御配線を介して送信される発光制御信号によってターンオンし、
前記スイッチングトランジスタはスキャン配線を介して送信されるスキャン信号によってターンオンし、前記第2トランジスタ及び前記第3トランジスタはセンシング配線を介して送信されるセンシング信号によってターンオンすることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機発光ダイオード表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1トランジスタは第n番目の発光制御配線を介して送信される第n番目の発光制御信号によってターンオンし、
前記発光制御トランジスタは第n+1番目の発光制御配線を介して送信される第n+1番目の発光制御信号によってターンオンし、
前記スイッチングトランジスタは第n+1番目のスキャン配線を介して送信される第n+1番目のスキャン信号によってターンオンし、
前記第2トランジスタ及び前記第3トランジスタは第n番目のスキャン配線を介して送信される第n番目のスキャン信号によってターンオンすることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機発光ダイオード表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第3トランジスタは前記有機発光ダイオードの一方電極に基準電圧、または低電位側電圧を印加することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機発光ダイオード表示装置の駆動方法。
