Description
本出願は、本明細書に参照によりその全体が組み込まれている、2009年6月11日出願の米国暫定出願第61/268,369号の優先権を主張する。
本発明は、形成温度範囲で熱膨張係数が小さい材料から作られるスラッシュ成形に使用可能な金型に関する。本発明は、更にこの金型の製造方法及び使用方法に関する。
(a)100°乃至500°Fの温度で最大5.0×10−6in/in/°Fの熱膨張係数を有する鉄ニッケル系合金の型ブランクを供給するステップと、
(b)この型ブランクを機械加工して、金型上面と下層のボディ部分を有する型の形状にするステップと、
(c)この金型上面上にシボ構造を施すステップと、
を具える。
Claims (23)
- テクスチャ面を有する回転成形型であって、当該型が:ボディ部分と、シボ構造(grain texture)を有する金型上面とを有するシェルを具え、前記ボディ部分が、少なくとも100°乃至500°Fの温度で最大5.0×10−6in/in/°Fの熱膨張係数を有する鉄ニッケル系合金を含有することを特徴とする回転成形型。
- 請求項1に記載の型において、前記鉄ニッケル系合金が、少なくとも30重量%のニッケルを含有する組成物であることを特徴とする型。
- 請求項1に記載の型において、前記鉄ニッケル系合金が、少なくとも30重量%のニッケル、0.05重量%のアルミニウム、及び0.01重量%のクロムを含有する組成物であることを特徴とする型。
- 請求項1に記載の型において、前記鉄ニッケル系合金が、少なくとも30重量%のニッケル、0.05乃至0.75重量%のアルミニウム、及び0.01乃至1.5重量%のクロムを含有する組成物であることを特徴とする型。
- 請求項1に記載の型において、前記ボディ部分が、少なくとも100のビッカーズ硬度(HV)を具える第一硬度を有し、前記上面が、前記第一硬度より高い第二硬度と最大1.5mmの厚さを有することを特徴とする型。
- 請求項5に記載の型において、前記第一硬度が、100乃至350HVであり、前記第二硬度が、350ヌープ硬さ(HK)を超える微小硬さであることを特徴とする型。
- 請求項6に記載の型において、前記微小硬さが、350乃至9,000HKであることを特徴とする型。
- 請求項1に記載の型において、前記金型上面が、100°乃至500°Fの温度で最大5.0×10−6in/in/°Fの熱膨張係数を有する、窒化処理された鉄ニッケル系合金であることを特徴とする型。
- 請求項1に記載の型において、前記金型上面が、100°乃至500°Fの温度で最大5.0×10−6in/in/°Fの熱膨張係数を有する、アルミニウム処理された後に窒化処理された鉄ニッケル系合金であることを特徴とする型。
- 請求項8に記載の型において、前記金型上面が、100°乃至500°Fの温度で0.1×10−6乃至4.0×10−6in/in/°Fの熱膨張係数を有する鉄ニッケル系合金を具えることを特徴とする型。
- 請求項1に記載の型において、前記金型上面が、窒化物コーティングを具えることを特徴とする型。
- 請求項1に記載の型において、前記型が、3乃至10mmの厚さを有することを特徴とする型。
- 請求項12に記載の型において、前記厚さが、前記型全体にわたって均一であることを特徴とする型。
- 自動車内装部品の成形型を製造するプロセスであって、このプロセスが:
(a)100°乃至500°Fの温度で5.0×10−6in/in/°Fの熱膨張係数を有する鉄ニッケル系合金の型ブランクを提供するステップと;
(b)前記型ブランクを金型上面と下層のボディ部分を有する型形状に機械加工するステップと;
(c)前記金型上面にシボ構造を施すステップと;
を具えることを特徴とするプロセス。 - 請求項14に記載のプロセスにおいて、前記金型上面に表面処理をして、前記ボディのビッカーズ硬度より高いヌープ微小硬さを有する上面を提供するステップを更に具えることを特徴とするプロセス。
- 請求項14に記載のプロセスにおいて、前記鉄ニッケル系合金が、少なくとも30重量%のニッケルを含有する組成物を有することを特徴とするプロセス。
- 請求項14に記載のプロセスにおいて、前記型ブランクを機械加工するステップが、コンピュータ数値制御(CNC)により機械加工するステップを含むことを特徴とするプロセス。
- 請求項15に記載のプロセスにおいて、前記表面処理が、前記金型上面にイオン窒化処理するステップを具えることを特徴とするプロセス。
- 請求項15に記載のプロセスにおいて、前記表面処理が、前記金型上面にアルミニウム処理し、次いで前期金型上面に窒化処理するステップを具えることを特徴とするプロセス。
- 請求項15に記載のプロセスにおいて、前記表面処理が、前記金型表面にコーティングを塗布するステップを具えることを特徴とするプロセス。
- 請求項20に記載のプロセスにおいて、前記コーティングが、窒化物を含むことを特徴とするプロセス。
- 請求項18に記載のプロセスにおいて、前記表面処理が、前記上面に500乃至2,000HK値のヌープ微小硬さを与えることを特徴とするプロセス。
- 自動車部品を製造するプロセスであって、当該プロセスが:
請求項1に記載の回転成形型を提供するステップと;
ポリマー材料を前記型に導入するステップと;
前記型を加熱するステップと;
前記型を冷却してポリマースキンを形成させるステップと;
前記型から前記ポリマースキンを取り外すステップと;
を具えることを特徴とするプロセス。
