Abstract
【解決手段】対向基板20の上に上偏光板21が貼り付けられ、上偏光板21の上にフロントウインドウ30がUV硬化樹脂による接着材40によって接着している。フロントウインドウ30には面取り31が施され、面取り31には遮光材33が形成されている。面取り31と上偏光板21あるいは対向基板20の表面の間にはUV接着材40が存在しており、偏光板21の外側端部は、フロントウインドウ30の外側端部よりも外側に存在している。フロントウインドウ30の面取り遮光材33が形成されているので、フロントウインドウ30の面取り31からバックライトからの光が侵入することは無い。したがって、視角が大きい場合も、画面周辺における光漏れを防ぐことが出来る。

Description
本実施例によれば、枠状のシール材を配置した部位に、シール材が剥がれることを防ぐためにブラックマトリクス22を形成しない場合でも、バックライトの光が前面に漏れることを防止できる。
Claims (7)
- 画素電極と前記画素電極への信号を制御するTFTがマトリクス状に配置されたTFT基板と、前記画素電極に対応するカラーフィルタが形成された対向基板とを備えた液晶パネルと、前記液晶表示パネルの背面に配置されたバックライトとを有する液晶表示装置であって、
前記対向基板には上偏光板と遮光材が配置され、前記遮光材は前記上偏光板の外側に配置され、
前記上偏光板の上にはフロントウインドウが紫外線硬化樹脂によって貼り付けられており、
前記紫外線硬化樹脂は前記上偏光板と前記遮光材の上に配置され、前記紫外線硬化樹脂の上には遮光テープが配置されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記偏光板の外端部は、前記フロントウインドウの外端部よりも外側に存在していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記遮光材の内端は前記フロントウインドウの面取りよりも内側に存在していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記遮光材と前記上偏光板とは一部が重なっていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 画素電極と前記画素電極への信号を制御するTFTがマトリクス状に配置されたTFT基板と、前記画素電極に対応するカラーフィルタが形成された対向基板とを備えた液晶パネルと、前記液晶表示パネルの背面に配置されたバックライトとを有する液晶表示装置であって、
前記対向基板には上偏光板が貼り付けられ、
前記上偏光板の上にフロントウインドウがUV硬化樹脂によって接着し、
前記フロントウインドウには面取りが形成され、
前記フロントウインドウの面取りには遮光材が形成されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記フロントウインドウの、下面端部には遮光膜が印刷によって形成され、前記フロントウインドウの側面には、遮光膜が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記上偏光板の外側端部は、前記フロントウインドウの外側端部よりも外側に存在していることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の液晶表示装置。
