Abstract
【解決手段】第1斜行及びレジ補正部1及び第2斜行及びレジ補正部1’を制御し、第1斜行及びレジ補正部1によりシートの側端位置を補正する際には、シートを幅方向の第1の方向に移動させ、第2斜行及びレジ補正部1’によりシートの側端位置を補正する際には、幅方向の第1の方向と逆の幅方向の第2の方向にシートを段階的に移動させる。

Claims (3)
- シートに画像を形成する第1画像形成部と、前記第1画像形成部のシート搬送方向下流側に設けられた第2画像形成部と、を備えた画像形成装置において、
前記第1画像形成部のシート搬送方向上流側に設けられ、前記第1画像形成部に搬送されるシートを、順次、シート搬送方向と直交する幅方向に基準位置から所定位置まで段階的に移動させ、所定位置に達した後は、再度、前記基準位置から前記所定位置まで段階的に移動させ、前記シートの幅方向の側端位置を補正する第1補正部と、
前記第1画像形成部及び前記第2画像形成部の間に設けられ、前記第1画像形成部により画像が形成されたシートを、順次、幅方向に基準位置から所定位置まで段階的に移動させ、所定位置に達した後は、再度、前記基準位置から前記所定位置まで段階的に移動させ、前記シートの幅方向の側端位置を補正する第2補正部と、
前記第1補正部及び前記第2補正部を制御する制御部と、を備え、
前記制御部は、前記第1補正部によりシートの側端位置を補正する際には、シートを幅方向の一方の方向に段階的に移動させ、前記第2補正部によりシートの側端位置を補正する際には、前記第1補正部によるシートの移動方向とは逆の方向にシートを段階的に移動させるように前記第1補正部及び前記第2補正部を制御することを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記第1補正部によりシートの側端位置を補正する際のシートの移動範囲と、前記第2補正部によりシートの側端位置を補正する際のシートの移動範囲とは幅方向において重複しないことを特徴とする請求項1記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記第2補正部によりシートの側端位置を補正する際には、前記第1補正部によりシートの側端位置を補正する際のシートの幅方向の移動量に応じてシートを段階的に移動させることを特徴とする請求項1記載の画像形成装置。
