Claims (102)
- 大気圧未満の圧力を使用して損傷した心臓組織を治療するための方法であって、
i 前記損傷した心臓組織に隣接して多孔質材料を配置して、多孔質材料の1つ以上の孔と前記損傷した心臓組織との間にガス連通をもたらすステップであって、前記多孔質材料が、エレクトロスピニングされた材料、鋳造材料、オープンセル発泡体、および、印刷された材料のうちの少なくとも1つを備えるステップと、

- 前記多孔質材料は、前記損傷した心臓組織を取り囲む空間内で他の組織の肉芽組織の形成を促すのに十分大きい孔径を備える請求項1〜38のいずれか一項に記載の損傷した心臓組織を治療するための方法。

前記多孔質材料の1つ以上の孔と治療されるべき前記心臓組織との間でガス連通を可能にするべく形成される孔構造を有する損傷した心臓組織を治療するための多孔質材料であって、エレクトロスピニングされた材料、鋳造材料、および、印刷された材料のうちの少なくとも1つを備える多孔質材料と、
治療されるべき前記心臓組織に対して大気圧未満の圧力を分配するために前記多孔質材料とガス連通した状態で配置される、大気圧未満の圧力を生成するための真空源と、
を備える装置。 - 前記多孔質材料が生体組込可能材料を備える請求項46に記載の装置。
- 包帯の生体組込の比率は、前記包帯の中心におけるよりも前記包帯の外周で高い請求項47に記載の装置。
- 前記多孔質材料は、ポリエチレン、ポリウレタン、および/または、ポリエステル材料を備える請求項46〜48のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 損傷した心臓組織を治療するための装置にであって、
前記多孔質材料の1つ以上の孔と治療されるべき前記心臓組織との間でガス連通を可能にするべく構成される孔構造を有する損傷した心臓組織を治療するための多孔質生体組込可能材料と、
治療されるべき前記心臓組織に対して大気圧未満の圧力を分配するために前記多孔質材料とガス連通した状態で配置される、大気圧未満の圧力を生成するための真空源と、
を備える装置。 - 前記多孔質材料がオープンセル発泡体を備える請求項50に記載の装置。
- 包帯の生体組込の比率は、前記包帯の中心におけるよりも前記包帯の外周で高い請求項50または請求項51に記載の装置。
- 前記多孔質材料は、心筋細胞、周辺筋細胞、または、これらの組み合わせを備える請求項46〜52のいずれか一項に記載の装置。

前記包帯を覆って取り囲むことにより大気圧未満の圧力を維持できるチャンバを包帯の周囲に設けるために体内に埋め込まれるように形成される生体組込可能なカバーと、

- 臓器を治療するための方法であって、前記臓器を気密チャンバ内に取り込み、大気圧未満の圧力を前記臓器に印加し、前記臓器のサイズを増大させるのに十分な時間にわたって大気圧未満の圧力を維持することを含む方法。
- 前記チャンバが前記臓器よりも大きく、前記臓器がチャンバを満たすようにサイズを増大するまで大気圧未満の圧力が維持される請求項97に記載の臓器を治療するための方法。
- 前記大気圧未満の圧力が前記チャンバに対して断続的に印加される請求項96または請求項97に記載の臓器を治療するための方法。
- 前記印加される大気圧未満の圧力の絶対値が拡張期血圧よりも大きくなる時間が5分未満である請求項96〜99のいずれか一項に記載の臓器を治療するための方法。
- 前記印加される大気圧未満の圧力の絶対値が拡張期血圧よりも小さくなる時間が10分未満である請求項96〜100のいずれか一項に記載の臓器を治療するための方法。
- 臓器を治療するための装置であって、前記臓器を取り囲んで収容するように構成される気密チャンバと、大気圧未満の圧力を前記臓器に印加して維持するためにチャンバに動作可能に接続される真空源とを備える装置。
