Abstract
【解決手段】 二枚の透明基板の間に液晶とモノマーとの混合物を注入して液晶セルを製作する工程と、補正しようとする収差分布と一致する吸収率分布を有するようにグレースケールマスクを設計する工程と、前記液晶セル上に前記グレースケールマスクを位置させた状態でUV光を照射して、モノマーがポリマーに重合されつつ相分離が起きて、ポリマーが存在する領域と液晶が存在する領域とが分離され、前記補正しようとする収差分布の逆に該当する位相差分布を有する液晶層を前記透明基板の間に形成する工程とを含む。

Description
DVDは、405nm波長の光、0.65のNAを有する対物レンズを使用し、基板の厚さがDVDと同じ0.6mmにその規格が決まった。

Claims (6)
- 二枚の透明基板の間に液晶とモノマーとの混合物を注入して液晶セルを製作する工程と、
補正しようとする収差分布と一致する吸収率分布を有するようにグレースケールマスクを設計する工程と、
前記液晶セル上に前記グレースケールマスクを位置させた状態でUV光を照射して、モノマーがポリマーに重合されつつ相分離が起きて、ポリマーが存在する領域と液晶が存在する領域とが分離され、前記補正しようとする収差分布の逆に該当する位相差分布を有する液晶層を前記透明基板の間に形成する工程とを含むことを特徴とする収差補正用の液晶素子の製造方法。 - 前記液晶層は、液晶滴の大きさ及び密度分布が補正しようとする収差分布と一致するナノPDLC構造で形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の収差補正用の液晶素子の製造方法。
- 前記グレースケールマスクは、
光情報記録媒体の厚さ差により発生する球面収差、対物レンズの作動距離の変動時に光情報記録媒体の厚さ差により発生する球面収差、光情報記録媒体の傾斜により発生するコマ収差、対物レンズのシフト時に光情報記録媒体の傾斜により発生するコマ収差のうち少なくともいずれか一つの収差分布と一致する吸収率分布や、ポジティブまたはネガティブタイプの2次元のパラボリック吸収率分布を有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の収差補正用の液晶素子の製造方法。 - 前記グレースケールマスクは、
光情報記録媒体の厚さ差により発生する球面収差、対物レンズの作動距離の変動時に光情報記録媒体の厚さ差により発生する球面収差、光情報記録媒体の傾斜により発生するコマ収差、対物レンズのシフト時に光情報記録媒体の傾斜により発生するコマ収差のうち少なくともいずれか一つの収差分布と一致する吸収率分布や、ポジティブまたはネガティブタイプの2次元のパラボリック吸収率分布を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の収差補正用の液晶素子の製造方法。 - 前記液晶層は、モノマーが重合されつつ網構造を形成し、液晶がその網の間に入り込むPNLC構造で形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の収差補正用の液晶素子の製造方法。
- 前記グレースケールマスクは、
光情報記録媒体の厚さ差により発生する球面収差、対物レンズの作動距離の変動時に光情報記録媒体の厚さ差により発生する球面収差、光情報記録媒体の傾斜により発生するコマ収差、対物レンズのシフト時に光情報記録媒体の傾斜により発生するコマ収差のうち少なくともいずれか一つの収差分布と一致する吸収率分布や、ポジティブまたはネガティブタイプの2次元のパラボリック吸収率分布を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の収差補正用の液晶素子の製造方法。
