Abstract

Claims (20)
- データ記憶システムであって、
ヘッドと、リード/ライトヘッド組立体に対して配置された記憶媒体との間の接触を示す接触信号を生じるように動作可能なヘッドディスクインターフェース・センサを含む前記ヘッド、及び
前記接触信号を処理して前記記憶媒体と前記リード/ライトヘッド組立体の間の接触の表示を生じるように動作可能なデータ処理回路
を備えたデータ記憶システム。 - 請求項1記載のデータ記憶システムにおいて、前記ヘッドが、前記記憶媒体上に保持された情報を検知し、前記検知された情報に対応する読み出し信号を生じるように動作可能なリードヘッドを更に含む、データ記憶システム。
- 請求項2記載のデータ記憶システムにおいて、前記データ処理回路が、前記読み出し信号を処理して、初めに前記記憶媒体に向けて送られたデータを取り出すように更に動作可能な、データ記憶システム。
- 請求項3記載のデータ記憶システムにおいて、前記データ処理回路がデータ検出器回路及びデータデコーダ回路を含む、データ記憶システム。
- 請求項4記載のデータ記憶システムにおいて、前記データデコーダ回路が低密度パリティチェックデコーダ回路である、データ記憶システム。
- 請求項2記載のデータ記憶システムにおいて、プリアンプ回路であって、前記接触信号と前記読み出し信号の両方を受け取り、前記接触信号又は前記読み出し信号のうちの1つを選択して前記データ処理回路に供給するプリアンプ回路を、更に備えるデータ記憶システム。
- 請求項6記載のデータ記憶システムにおいて、前記プリアンプが前記読み出し信号をフィルタし増幅するように動作可能である、データ記憶システム。
- 請求項6記載のデータ記憶システムにおいて、前記プリアンプが前記接触信号をフィルタし増幅するように動作可能である、データ記憶システム。
- 請求項6記載のデータ記憶システムにおいて、前記プリアンプが前記読み出し信号と前記接触信号のうちの選択された1つをフィルタし増幅するように動作可能である、データ記憶システム。
- 請求項6記載のデータ記憶システムにおいて、前記プリアンプが、前記読み出し信号と前記接触信号の両方を受け取り、前記読み出し信号と前記接触信号のうちの選択された1つを供給するアナログマルチプレクサを含む、データ記憶システム。
- データ処理の方法であって、
リードヘッドとヘッドディスクインターフェース・センサを有するヘッドを設けるステップ、
前記リードヘッドから読み出し信号を受け取るステップであって、前記読み出し信号は前記ヘッドに対して配置された記憶媒体上に記憶された情報に対応する、ステップ、
前記ヘッドディスクインターフェースから接触信号を受け取るステップ、
処理のために前記接触信号を選択するステップ、
前記接触信号をデータ処理回路に渡すステップ、及び
前記接触信号を処理して前記ヘッドと前記記憶媒体の間の接触の発生を判定するステップ
を備える方法。 - 請求項11記載の方法において、
処理のために前記読み出し信号を選択するステップ、
前記読み出し信号を前記データ処理回路に渡すステップ、及び
前記読み出し信号を処理して初めに書き込みのために前記記憶媒体に送られたデータを判定するステップ
を更に備える方法。 - 請求項12記載の方法において、
アナログマルチプレクサ回路を設けるステップであって、前記アナログマルチプレクサ回路は、前記接触信号と前記読み出し信号の両方を受け取る、ステップを更に含み、
前記読み出し信号を選択するステップが、前記アナログマルチプレクサ回路の出力として前記読み出し信号が供給されるように選択制御をアサートするステップを備える、方法。 - 請求項11記載の方法において、前記ヘッドと前記記憶媒体の間の接触の発生を判定するステップが、前記接触信号が閾値を超えたかどうかを判定するステップを含む方法。
- 請求項11記載の方法において、
アナログマルチプレクサ回路を設けるステップであって、前記アナログマルチプレクサ回路は前記接触信号と前記読み出し信号の両方を受け取る、ステップを更に含み、
前記接触信号を選択するステップが、前記アナログマルチプレクサ回路の出力として前記接触信号が供給されるように選択制御をアサートするステップを備える方法。 - 接触表示回路であって、
ヘッドであって、
前記ヘッドと、前記ヘッドに対して配置された記憶媒体との間の接触を示す接触信号を生じるように動作可能なヘッドディスクインターフェース・センサ、及び
前記記憶媒体上に保持された情報を検知し、前記検知された情報に対応する読み出し信号を生じるように動作可能なリードヘッド
を含むヘッド、並びに
前記記憶媒体と前記ヘッド組立体の間の接触の表示を生じるための前記接触信号と、初めに前記記憶媒体に向けて送られたデータを取り出すための前記読み出し信号とのうちの選択された1つを処理するように動作可能なデータ処理回路
を備えた接触表示回路。 - 請求項16記載の回路において、前記データ処理回路がデータ検出器回路及びデータデコーダ回路を含む、回路。
- 請求項16記載の回路において、
前記読み出し信号と前記接触信号を受け取り、少なくとも部分的にセレクタ入力に基づいて、前記データ処理回路への出力として前記読み出し信号又は前記接触信号のうちの1つを供給するように動作可能なマルチプレクサ
を更に備えた回路。 - 請求項16記載の回路において、
プリアンプ回路であって、前記接触信号と前記読み出し信号の両方を受け取り、前記接触信号又は前記読み出し信号のうちの1つを選択して前記データ処理回路に供給する、プリアンプ回路
を更に備えた回路。 - 請求項19記載の回路において、前記プリアンプが前記接触信号をフィルタし増幅するように動作可能である、回路。
