Abstract
【解決手段】超音波溶着機100を、回転自在であり、当該回転の回転軸方向に超音波振動を生じさせる超音波振動子10と、超音波振動子10により生じる超音波振動の影響を受けることなく当該超音波振動子10と一体に回転するよう設けられたキャップ13と、超音波振動子10の回転軸上に位置するよう当該キャップ13に設けられ、当該キャップ13と一体に回転しつつ超音波振動子10への電力を伝達する被給電部材15と、この回転軸上にて被給電部材15と当接し、この当接部分から被給電部材15に電力を伝達する給電部材17とを備えた構成とする。

Description
しかし、スリップリングと称呼される負極・正極環状回転端子65,66の表面の周速度は速く、ブラシと称呼される負極・正極摺接端子80,81の摺接速度は速いため、摺接する表面が磨耗する。そして、磨耗したスリップリングとブラシの磨耗粉は、摺接する表面に付着して、スリップリングとブラシの接触状態を悪くしていた。
大型化した超音波溶着機は溶着対象物の上を移動させるには不向きなため、超音波溶着機を所定位置に固定して、例えばロール状をした溶着対象物を展開してシート状にしたものを円板状の工具ホーンの下を通して一定方向に移動させて溶着あるいは接合する方法が取られていた。そのため、例えばロール状をした溶着対象物を溶着する際に、ロール状の原反の残量が少なくなり、新しいロール状の原反をつなぐときだけ、超音波溶着機の向きを変えて原反を溶着する接続作業に転用するようなことはできなかった(例えば特許文献2参照)。
また、本発明は、給電構造を工夫することにより小型・軽量化した超音波溶着機を提供することを第二の課題としている。
またこの構成により、従来のように超音波発振手段の外周に円筒状の電極を設ける等の複雑な構成にすることなく、回転軸上の一点で接触させるだけの簡単な構造で超音波信号と所定の電力を超音波振動手段に給電することができ、全体として小型・軽量化した超音波溶着機を実現している。
さらに、本発明の超音波溶着システムは、小型・軽量化した超音波溶着機にガイド手段を取り付け、超音波溶着機をガイドレールに沿って移動できるようにして、超音波溶着機等のガイドレールに沿った移動動作を利用した超音波溶着をする超音波溶着システムを実現している。
以下、図面とともに本発明の実施の形態を説明する。図1に、本発明の実施の形態1にかかる超音波溶着機100の断面図を示す。なお、以下の説明では、図1に合わせて超音波溶着機の先端側を左側、根元側を右側として表記する。本発明の実施の形態1にかかる超音波溶着機100は、円板型の工具ホーン1を支持フレームである門型フレーム2の両側壁の間に入れて、工具ホーン1の中心に左側回転軸3、右側回転軸4を両側から圧入して回転自在に支持している。
図示しない超音波振動駆動手段から、超音波振動信号と所定の電力を超音波振動子10に供給すると、超音波振動子10が振動し、それによってホーン11が、例えば15kHzから60kHzの周波数で、軸方向に数ミクロンメートルから数十ミクロンメートルの振幅で超音波振動する。図1の工具ホーン1は、軸方向の超音波振動を半径方向の超音波振動に変換する振動方向変換タイプであり、ホーン11から供給される軸方向の数ミクロンメートルの超音波振動を半径方向の超音波振動に変換する。そのため、工具ホーン1の外周面1aは、半径方向に拡大と縮小を繰り返す超音波振動をする。この工具ホーン1の外周面1aを、後述する図3のように重ねられた複数枚のプラスチック部材28、29の表面に押圧しつつ転動すると、プラスチック部材28、29の該当部分は、加えられた超音波振動エネルギーにより発熱し、溶融し、その後冷却して一体に溶着する。
第三の給電用リード線23は、アース線であり、超音波振動子10、ホーン11、右側回転軸4、工具ホーン1、左側回転軸3をカラー8、ベアリング7、右側ハウジング9、第三の給電板24を経由してアースに落とす役割をしている。
図4は、本発明の超音波溶着機100a、100bを配置して、アンビル27上に重ねて載置した複数のプラスチック部材28、29を溶着している状態を斜視図で示している。一対の超音波溶着機100a、100bを所定位置に固定し、アンビル27の上に重ねて載置した複数のプラスチック部材28、29を、超音波振動している工具ホーン1で押圧している状態で、複数のプラスチック部材28、29をA1矢印方向に送り、A2矢印のように引っ張ると、本発明の一対の超音波溶着機100a、100bの工具ホーンからの超音波振動により押圧していた部分が溶着されてA2矢印のように送られていく。なお、アンビル27には超音波溶着時の発熱が蓄積されるので、図示しない冷却パイプなどで冷却する。
次に、本発明の実施の形態2について説明する。本発明の実施の形態2では、本発明の実施の形態1で説明した、小型・軽量化した超音波溶着機100aの上方に、走行ローラを内蔵させたガイド手段36を取り付け、ガイド手段36にガイドレール37を通して、本発明の超音波溶着機100aをガイドレール37に沿って移動できるようにした超音波溶着システムとして構成している。
図8は、本発明の実施の形態2にかかる超音波溶着システムを用いた溶着作業状態を示す平面図である。本発明の実施の形態2にかかる超音波溶着システムの一対の超音波溶着機100a、100bの内、一方の超音波溶着機100aにガイド手段36を取り付け、超音波溶着機100aをガイドレール37に沿って、B1矢印、B2矢印のように移動し、超音波溶着機100aの向きを90度回転させる。そして、超音波溶着機100aへの超音波振動信号と所定電力を供給して、工具ホーン1を超音波振動させながら、B3矢印、つまり原反33、34の走行方向と直交する方向に移動する。このことにより、重ねた原反33、34の重ねた部分35を押圧して、両者を超音波溶着する。そして、超音波溶着機100aへの超音波振動信号と所定電力の供給を停止し、それまでと逆方向のC1、C2、C3矢印のように、超音波溶着機100aを元の位置に戻す。このことは、既に図6で説明した通りである。このように、ガイド手段36により、超音波溶着機100aガイドレール37に沿って、手動あるいは図示しないモータ駆動手段を用いて移動させることにより、容易に新旧の原反33、34をつなぐことができる。
その他、必要によりガイドレールの形状を変え、ロール状の溶着対象物を円板状の工具ホーンの下を通して一定方向に移動する動作と、超音波溶着機等のガイドレールに沿った移動動作を組み合わせて利用することにより、任意の曲線状の溶着を行うこともできる。
次に、本発明の実施の形態3について説明する。実施の形態1、2では、門型フレーム2で円板型の軸方向両側から工具ホーン1を回転自在に支えた、いわゆる両持ち支持タイプの超音波溶着機での実施の形態を示したが、本発明の実施の形態3として、いわゆる片持ち支持タイプの超音波溶着機における実施の形態を示す。
ハウジング49からスライドホルダー20を外して、被給電部材15と給電部材17の接点の状態を簡単に確認でき、清掃等のメンテナンス作業、被給電部材15と給電部材17の交換作業等を簡単に行うことができる点は、いわゆる両持ち支持タイプの超音波溶着機と同じである。
次に、本発明の実施の形態4について説明する。既に説明した実施の形態1、2、3では、被給電部材15と給電部材17を半球状の摺動面をもつ頭部と雄ネジ部を形成した導電部材と説明したが、実施の形態4の超音波溶着機110では、被給電部材50と給電部材51を頭部に凹部を設け、この凹部で導電性の球体50a、51aをそれぞれ回転自在に支持して、半球状の当接面をもつ頭部と雄ネジ部を形成した点に特徴がある。
実施の形態4では、球体50a、51aを当接させて転動させているため、摺動により磨耗することがないという利点がある。
特に、小型・軽量化した超音波溶着機にガイド手段とガイドレールを加えて用いることにより、例えばロール状の材料を溶着する場合に、工具ホーンの向きを変えて、新旧の原反を接合する場合の他、任意の曲線状の溶着をするなど、超音波溶着機等のガイドレールに沿った移動動作を利用した超音波溶着をする場合にも適用することができる。

Claims (8)
- 回転自在であり、当該回転の回転軸方向に超音波振動を生じさせる超音波振動手段と、
前記超音波振動手段により生じる超音波振動の影響を受けることなく、当該超音波振動手段と一体に回転するよう設けられたキャップ部材と、
前記超音波振動手段の回転軸上に位置するよう前記キャップ部材に設けられ、当該キャップ部材と一体に回転しつつ前記超音波振動手段への電力を伝達する被給電部材と、
前記回転軸上にて前記被給電部材と当接し、当該当接部分から前記被給電部材へ電力を伝達する給電部材と、
を備えたことを特徴とする超音波溶着機。 - 前記超音波振動手段には、対象物上を転動しつつ当該対象物に超音波を伝達する円板型の工具ホーンが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の超音波溶着機。
- 前記キャップ部材には、前記超音波振動手段との間に当該キャップ部材と超音波振動手段との間の相対運動を吸収するクッション部材が介装されて設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の超音波溶着機。
- 前記給電部材は前記回転軸方向に移動可能に設けられており、
前記給電部材を前記回転軸方向に沿って前記被給電部材側に押圧する押圧手段を備えることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の超音波溶着機。 - 前記被給電部材は半球状をなしており、球面が前記給電部材と当接することを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の超音波溶着機。
- 前記給電部材は半球状をなしており、球面が前記被給電部材と当接することを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の超音波溶着機。
- 前記請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の超音波溶着機と、
前記超音波溶着機に装着するガイド手段と、
前記ガイド手段を案内するガイドレールと、
を備えたことを特徴とする超音波溶着システム。 - 前記対象物は一方向に移動するものであり、
前記ガイドレールは、一方が前記対象物の移動方向と平行に延び、他方が前記対象物の移動方向と交差するよう延びた略L字状の案内経路を形成していることを特徴とする請求項7記載の超音波溶着システム。
