Abstract
【解決手段】ブースト装置のタービンの下流に設けた触媒と、タービンの上流に設けた還元剤注入装置とを有するエミッションコントロール装置を備え、排気側にある上記タービンの上流へと還元剤を注入し、注入された上記還元剤を上記タービンによって排気と混合し、混合された上記還元剤を上記触媒へと送る。

Claims (16)
- ブースト装置のタービンの下流に設けた触媒と、
上記タービンの上流に設けた還元剤注入装置とを有するエミッションコントロール装置を備えたエンジンの作動方法であって、
排気側にある上記タービンの上流へと還元剤を注入し、
注入された上記還元剤を上記タービンによって排気と混合し、
混合された上記還元剤を上記触媒へと送る
ことを特徴とするエンジンの作動方法。 - 請求項1に記載のエンジンの作動方法において、
上記エミッションコントロール装置は、上記還元剤注入装置の上流にパティキュレートフィルタをさらに備え、上記還元剤は尿素を含む
ことを特徴とするエンジンの作動方法。 - 請求項2に記載のエンジンの作動方法において、
上記触媒はSCR触媒である
ことを特徴とするエンジンの作動方法。 - 請求項1に記載のエンジンの作動方法において、
上記還元剤の混合度合を制御するために、上記タービンのウェイストゲートを調整することをさらに含む
ことを特徴とするエンジンの作動方法。 - 請求項4に記載のエンジンの作動方法において、
上記ウェイストゲートの調整は、上記還元剤の混合度合を高めるために上記ウェイストゲートの開度を減少することを含む
ことを特徴とするエンジンの作動方法。 - 請求項5に記載のエンジンの作動方法において、
ブーストの変化に基づいて、上記還元剤の注入量を調整することをさらに含む
ことを特徴とするエンジンの作動方法。 - 請求項6に記載のエンジンの作動方法において、
上記還元剤の注入量の調整は、上記ブーストが低下する場合、上記注入量を一時的に減少することを含む
ことを特徴とするエンジンの作動方法。 - ターボチャージャー用の排気タービンの下流に設けたSCR触媒と、
上記タービンの上流に設けた還元剤注入装置とを備え、さらに、
還元剤注入装置の上流にパティキュレートフィルタを備えたエミッションコントロール装置を備えたエンジンの作動方法であって、
排気側にある上記タービンの上流かつ上記パティキュレートフィルタの下流である位置へと還元剤を注入し、かつその注入は、ブーストの作動状況に基づいて調整し、注入された上記還元剤を上記タービンによって排気と混合し、混合された上記還元剤を触媒へと送る
ことを特徴とするエンジンの作動方法。 - 請求項8に記載のエンジンの作動方法において、
上記調整は、上記ブースト量が低下する場合、注入量を一時的に減少させることも含む
ことを特徴とするエンジンの作動方法。 - 請求項8に記載のエンジンの作動方法において、
タービン速度がしきい値を下回って低下する場合、ターボチャージャーのウェイストゲートの流量を減らすためにウェイストゲートの開度を調整することをさらに含む
ことを特徴とするエンジンの作動方法。 - ターボチャージャー用タービンの上流に設けた還元剤注入装置と、
上記ターボチャージャー用タービンの下流に設けたSCR触媒とを備える
ターボチャージャー付き内燃機関に関するエミッションコントロール装置。 - 請求項11に記載のエミッションコントロール装置において、
上記タービンの上流にパティキュレートフィルタをさらに備える
ことを特徴とするエミッションコントロール装置。 - 請求項11に記載のエミッションコントロール装置において、
上記ターボチャージャーによるブースト量に基づいて、上記排気側にある上記タービンの上流へと注入される還元剤の量を調整するように設計された電子制御装置をさらに備える
ことを特徴とするエミッションコントロール装置。 - 請求項13に記載のエミッションコントロール装置において、
上記排気側から上記吸気側へと排気の少なくとも一部を送るように設計されたEGR通路をさらに備える
ことを特徴とするエミッションコントロール装置。 - 請求項14に記載のエミッションコントロール装置において、
上記制御装置は、触媒温度、排気NOxレベル、およびターボチャージャーのウェイストゲートの開度の少なくとも一つに基づいて、上記還元剤の注入量をさらに調整するように設計されている
ことを特徴とするエミッションコントロール装置。 - 請求項15に記載のエミッションコントロール装置において、
上記調整は、上記ウェイストゲートの開度が減少する場合、上記還元剤の注入量を増加させること、タービン速度が上昇する場合、還元剤の注入量を増加させること、および/または、ブーストの存在下で、還元剤の注入量を増加させることを含む
ことを特徴とするエミッションコントロール装置。
