Abstract
【解決手段】ミリメートル波帯域パッチアンテナが提供される。このパッチアンテナは、複数の誘電体層が積層された多層基板、多層基板の中心領域を除いて、複数の誘電体層の間に介在された少なくとも一つの金属パターン層と、多層基板の上部面上に配置され、中心領域内に位置されたアンテナパッチと、多層基板の上部面に対向する下部面上に配置された接地層と、誘電体層を貫通して金属パターン層と接地層を電気的に連結し、中心領域を取り囲む複数のビアと、を含む。接地層及び複数のビアによって囲まれた多層基板の中心領域は、共振器の役割をする。

Claims (10)
- 複数の誘電体層が積層された多層基板と、
前記多層基板の中心領域を除いて、前記複数の誘電体層の間に介在された少なくとも一つの金属パターン層と、
前記多層基板の第1面上に配置され、前記中心領域内に位置されたアンテナパッチと、
前記多層基板の前記第1面に対向する第2面上に配置された接地層と、
前記誘電体層を貫通して前記金属パターン層と前記接地層を電気的に連結し、前記中心領域を取り囲む複数のビアと、を含み、
前記接地層及び前記複数のビアによって囲まれた前記多層基板の前記中心領域は、共振器の役割をすることを特徴とするパッチアンテナ。 - 前記複数のビアは、前記アンテナパッチから放射される波長の半分以下の距離に互いに離隔されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパッチアンテナ。
- 前記複数のビアは、前記中心領域に蓄積された信号の漏洩を抑制する金属壁の役割をすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパッチアンテナ。
- 前記複数のビアは、前記中心領域に対して、放射状に配置される少なくとも一つの追加的なビアをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパッチアンテナ。
- 前記複数のビアによって、前記多層基板の前記第1面と前記接地層との間の距離が近づく程度によって、表面波の伝達程度が抑制されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパッチアンテナ。
- 前記中心領域は、設計周波数帯域で共振することができる大きさを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパッチアンテナ。
- ビアによって囲まれた中心領域は、設計周波数帯域で誘電体共振器に役割をすることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のパッチアンテナ。
- 前記アンテナパッチと前記中心領域との間のカップリングによって帯域幅が大きくなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパッチアンテナ。
- 前記アンテナパッチに信号を供給するための伝送線路をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパッチアンテナ。
- 前記伝送線路の下部周囲に配置された追加的なビアをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のパッチアンテナ。
