Abstract
Description
北ピボットマウント86は、南ピボットマウント44と実質的に同じであり、支持支柱70を南ピボット軸46に対応する略水平軸回りに旋回可能にしている。更に、北ピボットマウント86は、支持支柱70をトルク部材24と北ベース66へ固定する助けとなるように、略垂直軸回りに回転されることができる。また、支持支柱70は、可変長の伸縮支柱である。支持支柱70とトルク部材24との間の旋回可能な接続、支持支柱70と北ベース66との間の旋回可能な接続、及び可変長の伸縮支柱70の使用は、ソーラーコレクタアセンブリ10の設置の容易さを高める。なぜなら、北ベース66の正確な配置が必要とされず、そして支持表面14が広範囲に亘って水平にされる必要もなく、あるいは複数の北ベースを受け入れるように造成される必要もないためである。実質的に掘削なしに北ベース66及び南ベース28を設置する能力とは、即ち、バラストタイプの北と南ベースのための安定した支持表面を提供するのに必要な掘削のみを含んでおり、設置中の顕著なコスト的利点を提供する。
Claims (14)
- 第1及び第2の方位間で駆動要素を旋回することによるチルト軸回りの動作のために、ソーラーコレクタを支持するフレームを含むタイプのソーラーコレクタアセンブリとともに使用するチルトアセンブリであって、
第1の距離だけ前記チルト軸から離間される前記駆動要素に沿う位置で前記駆動要素に接続される駆動要素カプラーと、
ドライバと、を備え、
前記ドライバは、駆動フレームと、駆動アーム軸回りに旋回動作するように駆動フレームに取り付けられる駆動アームと、を備え、前記駆動アームは、第3及び第4の方位間で旋回可能であり、前記駆動アームは、前記駆動フレームから延出している内側部分、及び前記駆動アームに沿った駆動位置で前記駆動要素カプラーに駆動可能に接続される外側部分を有し、前記駆動位置は、第2の距離だけ前記駆動アーム軸から離間され、並びに、
前記ドライバは、前記第3及び第4の方位間での前記駆動アームの動作のために前記駆動アームに駆動可能に連結される駆動アームドライバと、を備えるチルトアセンブリ。 - 前記ドライバは、前記駆動アーム軸回りに旋回動作するように前記駆動フレームに旋回可能に取り付けられる駆動アームサポートを更に備え、

- 前記第2の距離によって画定される第2のラインを更に備え、
当該第2のラインは、前記第1の距離によって画定される第1のラインに対して実質的に平行であるように配向可能であり、それによって、前記駆動アームの動作は、前記駆動要素の動作を真似る請求項4に記載のチルトアセンブリ。 - 前記ドライバは、前記第3及び第4の方位間の前記駆動アームの動作が前記第1及び第2の方位間の前記駆動要素の動作を実質的に真似るように構成される請求項4に記載のチルトアセンブリ。
- 前記駆動フレームは、前記駆動アームが前記第3及び第4の方位間で旋回するにつれて前記駆動要素カプラーが前記駆動フレームの一部の下側を通過可能なように構築される請求項1に記載のチルトアセンブリ。
- 前記駆動アームの前記外側部分から実質的に反対方向へ延出する第1及び第2の駆動要素カプラーを更に備え、それによって、前記チルトアセンブリは、ソーラーコレクタアセンブリの列において隣接するソーラーコレクタアセンブリ間で使用されることができる請求項1に記載のチルトアセンブリ。
- 第1及び第2の方位間で駆動要素を旋回することによるチルト軸回りの動作のために、ソーラーコレクタを支持するフレームと、互いに略平行である前記チルト軸と、をそれぞれ備えるソーラーコレクタアセンブリからなる第1及び第2の隣り合うソーラーコレクタアセンブリと、
