Abstract
Description
アルミニウムクロロハイドレートの50%濃度水溶液に塩化マグネシウムを、か焼後の酸化アルミニウムと酸化マグネシウムの比率が99.5重量%:0.5重量%に達するまで混合した。さらに、その溶液に(酸化物含有量に基づいて)2%の結晶核を極めて微細なコランダムの懸濁液の形態で添加した。撹拌によって溶液を均質にした後、ポリビニルピロリドンの水溶液の添加を実施した。真空における水の蒸発による濃縮後、紡糸ドープを多孔ノズルに通して乾式紡糸法で紡糸した。得られた未か焼の繊維をゆっくりと1100℃まで加熱した。形成されたコランダム繊維は、10〜150nmの範囲(走査電子顕微鏡写真)のコランダム結晶子を示した。
Claims (7)
- コランダムと、周期表の第I主族又は第II主族の元素の酸化物から本質的になる多結晶コランダム繊維であり、該コランダム繊維の結晶子が、以下の粒度分布、0〜0.15μm(34%)、0.15〜0.29μm(55%)、及び0.29〜0.43μm(11%)を有する、上記多結晶コランダム繊維。
- コランダム繊維の結晶子が、以下の粒度分布、0〜0.06μm(34%)、0.06〜0.122μm(55%)、及び0.122〜0.3μm(11%)を有する、請求項1に記載の多結晶コランダム繊維。
- 前記コランダム繊維が、周期表の第I主族元素又は第II主族元素の酸化物を0.01〜20重量%含む、請求項1に記載の多結晶コランダム繊維。
- 請求項1の多結晶コランダム繊維の製造方法であって、アルミニウムクロロハイドレートの水溶液を、結晶核と、周期表の第I主族及び第II主族の元素の酸化物形成体と混合し、水溶性ポリマーを添加し、そこから繊維を紡糸し、そしてその繊維を1100℃より高い温度でか焼する、上記方法。
- 酸化物形成体として周期表の第I主族又は第II主族の元素の塩化物を添加する、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 核として極めて微細に分散されたコランダム、ダイアスポア、又はヘマタイトを添加する、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 完成したコランダム繊維に基づいて0.1〜10重量%の核を添加することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の方法。
