Abstract
【解決手段】生物スキャナは異なるタイプの生物成長プレートを走査するために画像処理プロファイルの自動選択を提供する。スキャナはスキャナにより走査するプレートのタイプを自動的に識別した後、識別したプレートタイプに適合する画像処理プロファイルのうちの1つを選択する。例えば画像処理プロファイルは、異なるタイプの細菌コロニーを計数する際に異なる色、形状、サイズおよび近接基準を適用し得る。スキャナはプレートに担持された光学または磁気的読取可能マークなどの様々な機械可読標識を参照することによりプレートタイプを識別し得る。従ってプレートタイプ識別を可能にする特定の標識を担持する生物成長プレートも考えられる。プレートを走査して生物成長プレート上の異なるタイプの細菌コロニー、または特定の生物剤の量を読み取るまたは計数する。

Claims (3)
- 細菌、酵母菌又は糸状菌の成長を容易にするプレート表面と、生物成長プレート(22)のプレートタイプを識別する機械可読プレートタイプ標識とを含み、前記プレートタイプが、好気性細菌プレート、大腸菌プレート、大腸菌型プレート、腸内細菌科プレート、酵母菌プレート、糸状菌プレート、黄色ブドウ球菌プレート、リステリアプレート、およびカンピロバクタープレートからなる群から選択される、少なくとも1つの生物成長プレート(22)と、
生物成長プレート(22)を受け取り、前記プレートタイプに基づいて生物成長プレート(22)の自動処理を行う生物読取装置(10)と、
を含むシステムであって、該生物読取装置(10)が、
前記プレートタイプ標識に基づいて前記プレートタイプを検出する検出器(42;32)と、
画像処理プロファイルを記憶するメモリ(36)であって、該画像処理プロファイルが、特定のタイプの生物成長プレート(22)に関連する生物コロニーを計数する方法を規定する特定の画像分析基準を指定するメモリ(36)と、
前記生物成長プレート(22)の1つ以上の画像を生成する撮像装置(32;43)と、
検出された前記生物成長プレート(22)に関連するプレートタイプに基づいて前記画像処理プロファイルのうちの1つを選択し、前記生物成長プレートについてのコロニー数を生成するために前記1つ以上の画像に選択された前記画像処理プロファイルのうちの1つの前記画像分析基準を適用する画像処理装置(34)と、
を含む、システム。 - 前記画像分析基準が色、形状、サイズおよび近接基準を指定する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 選択された前記画像処理プロファイルが前記画像分析基準および1つ以上の画像取込条件を指定し、前記撮像装置が、前記生物成長プレートの1つ以上の画像を生成する際に前記1つ以上の画像取込条件を適用する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
