Abstract

Description
本発明の課題は、活性および選択性という点での高い触媒性能、ならびにハニカム構造の床の容積および触媒の重さに対する高い比生産性を与え得る、ハニカム型の構造(ここで、それらの管状の構造のために、ガス流のラジアル混合は起こらず、その結果として半径方向では資材の満足のいく変換は起こらない)内に含まれるアンモニア酸化触媒を提供することである。
最終的な触媒を、
a)不活性なハニカムモノリス構造を活性成分でコーティングするか、
または
b)活性成分の粉末を、ハニカムモノリス型の構造に押し出す
ことのいずれかにより得ることができる。
各ブロックが高さ5cm、62セル/cm2を有する、ハニカム状の構造のセラミックのブロックの3つのユニットで形成され、5つの構造をカスケード内に配置するのに、1つのモノリスのブロックと1つの発泡体とを交互に配置して設置した、それぞれ厚さ2cmの2つの発泡アルファアルミナ層を含む触媒ユニットを、37.4%CoO、53.4%MnOおよび9.2%La2O3のCoO、MnOおよびLa2O3の重量パーセントで表される組成の混合酸化物触媒がガンマアルミナ上に支持された、1〜10μmに粉砕したガンマアルミナを含むスラリー中でブロックを浸漬することにより製造した。支持された触媒は、0.1〜0.2重量%のPtも含んでいた。前記の遷移金属酸化物を、20重量%に等しい全体量でガンマアルミナ上に支持する。スラリーは、脱イオン水でもさらに構成され、酢酸でpH4まで酸性にする。
反応条件は、GHSV=10000h-1、触媒ユニットの入口で測定したガス混合物の温度550℃、圧力1バール、および空気中での1容積%に等しいアンモニア濃度であった。
発泡アルミナ層を含まないことを除いては、実施例1で用いたものと同様の触媒ユニットを、実施例1と同じ条件下で実施したアンモニア酸化の試験で用いた。
高さ15cm、62セル/cm2の、単一の、ハニカム状の構造のセラミックのブロックで形成した触媒ユニットを、実施例1に既に記載した手順に従って製造し、実施例1と同じ条件下で実施したアンモニア酸化の試験で用いた。

- アンモニア酸化触媒を含むハニカム型の構造を有する1対のブロックでそれぞれが形成された1以上のユニットで形成されたアンモニア酸化のための触媒であって、前記の各ブロックが15cm未満の高さを有し、かつそれらの間に、資材ガス流のラジアル混合が得られる3cm以下で少なくとも0.5cmの高さを有するガス透過性物質の層が配置されてなる触媒。
- 間に配置されたガス流混合層が3cm未満の高さを有する発泡体層である、請求項1に記載の触媒ユニット。
- 前記の各ブロックの高さが2〜6cmである、請求項1または2に記載の触媒ユニット。
- 間に配置された層の高さが0.5〜2cmである、請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の触媒ユニット。
- 前記のブロックがセラミックまたは金属の材料で形成された、請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の触媒ユニット。
- ハニカム型の構造を有するブロックのセラミック材料が、ABO3(ここで、Aは希土類元素もしくはアルカリ土類元素またはそれらの混合物であり、Bは遷移金属元素またはそれらの混合物である)型のペロブスカイトの構造を有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1つに記載の触媒ユニット。
- 前記のブロックが、同一または異なって、cm当たり3〜10のセルを有し、前記の発泡体層がcm当たり4〜20の細孔数を有する、請求項1〜6のいずれか1つに記載の触媒ユニット。
- 前記の発泡体層が発泡アルミナで形成された、請求項1〜7のいずれか1つに記載の触媒ユニット。
- 前記のアンモニア酸化触媒が、最低電子価状態におけるCoO、MnOおよび希土類酸化物の重量パーセントで、20〜45%のCoO、50〜60%のMnO、0.5〜20%の希土類金属酸化物を混合した酸化物触媒の組成物を表面上に有するガンマアルミナを含むスラリー中にブロックを浸漬し、該ブロックをスラリーから回収し、該ブロックを焼成することにより得られるコーティングの形態にある、請求項1〜8のいずれか1つに記載の触媒ユニット。
- 前記の希土類金属酸化物がLa2O3、またはLa2O3とCeO2との混合物である、請求項9に記載の触媒ユニット。
- ブロック上に存在する触媒のコーティングが0.001〜1重量%のPtを含む、請求項9に記載の触媒ユニット。
- 用いられる触媒が、請求項1〜8のいずれか1つに記載の1以上の触媒ユニットで形成されている、アンモニアの酸化方法。
- 温度200℃〜900℃、絶対圧力1〜12バール、GHSV8000〜140000h-1で行われる、請求項12に記載のアンモニアの酸化方法。
